I wondered if you had thought of reviewing some of the cheaper kit on the market ie. Vango , Coleman or Outwell small tents or mountain warehouse sleeping bags for instance. I think most folks who would love to wild camping don’t have the budget to spend hundreds? Would be good to get your thoughts on kit from the cheap end of the market. Just a thought , kind regards, Neil

Hi brother, keep the channel going, it's a quality one and I like the variety. It's these channels that are motivation for me to get out there. Managed 3 wild camps since Aug and heading up to Scotland at the end of November. The information I've learnt has been invaluable and really helpful. Keep on going lad it will come right!

I've done exactly the same with a Wayfarer meal! Did you know Doug Scott used to train on Carrock Fell? Still loving binge-watching your channel and actually got out last night for the first time in TEN years, in a TWELVE year old tent! Charlie & me loved it though, thanks to Blue's inspiration!

Just bought an Abisko Lite 1 mainly based on your review of the tent. Took it out on the Brecon Beacons last week and really happy with it. Was on Back 'o' Skiddaw including Carrock Fell for a couple of days earlier this year. Not the most epic fells, but beautiful views and very quiet. Great video yet again

Yep. Winter draws on now like. Although it’s meant to be mild this weekend 🧐 we pitched just down off the summit there’s literally 3 pitches Lolzzz we came up from where the sun went down. Was longer but not as steep. Also the same thing happened to me with the water going into my curry. It’s cursed that fell. I had curry soup which was bloody awful. Great sunset too. I like those fells. We still have a couple to tick off. Shame it turned to sh*t 😂 those are the breaks. Look forward to the next one mate. Atb 👍

Making my way through your previous vids and thoroughly enjoying them. My two favourite wild camping TH-camrs and yourself and Patrick Dickinson (who's currently having a little break from it). I've supported you previously and will continue to do so in the future. The way I see it, I'm one of many enjoying your content, but in my opinion it's unfair to expect such content for free. I hope your subscribers and video interactions are continually improving since posting this video back in November. Your adventures, videos and presentation style are brilliant. Looked a cold and damp one for sure Al. Another good video which I watched at home in my nice warm bed lol. If going bigger with the tent I would definitely recommend the Abisko lite 2 a bit more room for those long dark winter night's spent in a tent 👌

Another great video Al ty! I love how relaxed you are with Blue! He's a great dog and just blends in with you! You don't seem to have to keep checking him, obviously because you have trained him well. That sunset was stunning! We were blessed with one last thursday after a shattering 14 mile hike, getting lost and having to climb over dry stone walls and barbed wire (respectfully) plus an electric fence 😱 We got into a part of moorland where it was boggy, with that spongy pad like plant, as you tread on them, they go down a good foot! What an adventure for a couple of 70 odd yr olds 😁
Sounds a proper adventure and I’m glad you still enjoy it! If you put the time in with a dog when they are young then you get the rewards for the rest of their lives. He definitely is easy !

Great video Al as always love watching your weekly videos, TH-cam is the new TV these days, here's a few ideas I have for myself that I would like to share, and I'm pretty sure they would make the channel grow, I've wanted to do kilimanjaro for my 50th for a while now self funded but in the last 12 months my dad has unfortunately been diagnosed with dementia so I had a thought well if I'm doing it anyway I may as well raise money for the cause, theirs nothing stopping you from raising money through social media to do the trip and the rest to a charity of your choice, think that would be awesome and I would certainly donate ( and anybody watching this channel who wouldn't want to do kilimanjaro) my other thoughts, this isn't for everybody but like I said these are my own ambitions a multi day kayaking in the Scottish lockes it has it all wild camping, bushcraft, and a great adventure. Good luck with the channel I'm sure it will peak so m8
Definitely good ideas! I love any adventures and I’m a qualified kayak coach so I’ve been thinking about filming some kayak adventures. I might have to build blue a raft and pull him😂. Having a cause to raise money for us always a good motivator. All love for your dad. Al

Brilliant I’m sure you’ll love it! Hammocks are cosy as they encapsulate you. Sometimes take a bit of getting use to. I’m sure you know but make sure you have an under quilt or decent sleeping mat (Or both). The cold air underneath will make you nithered. ‘Toastally’ enjoy! (Horrendous dad joke😂🤦🏻♂️)

You know I always took beef and chicken cubes to put in hot water and warm up with. Don't take up much room and always felt more substantial. And tastes good.
Another great photo/vid., love watching u & blue, im a dog lover/ owner(carer) as well. One small item mate, when your mum dresses you in the morning can you get away from the mega brite colors.(LOL) . I mean really , lime green & yellow hikers ? Just yolkin around. Cheers
Mate can't tell you how much h your channel and videos have helped me, I live in the lakes and wanted to a bit of hiking and camping was put off by alot of know it all on some of the face book pages, I watched your videos and they gave me the confidence to get out and do it, I sadly loas my grand father in June and my dad unexpectedly in September, if it wasn't for your enthusiasm I Dont think I would have done it and quite easily gone down a different path, like many I am starting on a budget but loving it. Was last out in mid Oct and felt the cold 🥶 may venture out again soon but keep it low and maybe in a wooded area. Went there on a school trip. A guy took off his camo jacket, neatly folded it and put it down. Never saw it again, on account of it being camo. The next year, somebody on the next trip found it still folded up and brought it back!

Wool is definitely a bit large and heavy but a totally awesome material especially by a fire (won’t set alight).

Yep. Winter draws on now like. Although it’s meant to be mild this weekend 🧐 we pitched just down off the summit there’s literally 3 pitches Lolzzz we came up from where the sun went down. Was longer but not as steep. Also the same thing happened to me with the water going into my curry. It’s cursed that fell. I had curry soup which was bloody awful. Great sunset too. I like those fells. We still have a couple to tick off. Shame it turned to sh*t 😂 those are the breaks. Look forward to the next one mate. Atb 👍
Wow you must have squeezed in up there. My pitch was far from perfect. There’s nowt worse than watered down food on a mountain 😂😂😂. I won’t camp there again now we know it has the ‘cooking pot curse’.

What a sky, unbelievable sunset..looked really calm in the evening, cold yes haha but that night sky was stunning😃👍👏. The wind didn't look too bad compared to other camps you've done, more so damp and cold i guess. Great vid mate, always feels like an adventure as i sit here watching! Top job😀🏞🤘

Another great video Al ty! I love how relaxed you are with Blue! He's a great dog and just blends in with you! You don't seem to have to keep checking him, obviously because you have trained him well. That sunset was stunning! We were blessed with one last thursday after a shattering 14 mile hike, getting lost and having to climb over dry stone walls and barbed wire (respectfully) plus an electric fence 😱 We got into a part of moorland where it was boggy, with that spongy pad like plant, as you tread on them, they go down a good foot! What an adventure for a couple of 70 odd yr olds 😁
Sounds a proper adventure and I’m glad you still enjoy it! If you put the time in with a dog when they are young then you get the rewards for the rest of their lives. He definitely is easy !

Great video Al as always love watching your weekly videos, TH-cam is the new TV these days, here's a few ideas I have for myself that I would like to share, and I'm pretty sure they would make the channel grow, I've wanted to do kilimanjaro for my 50th for a while now self funded but in the last 12 months my dad has unfortunately been diagnosed with dementia so I had a thought well if I'm doing it anyway I may as well raise money for the cause, theirs nothing stopping you from raising money through social media to do the trip and the rest to a charity of your choice, think that would be awesome and I would certainly donate ( and anybody watching this channel who wouldn't want to do kilimanjaro) my other thoughts, this isn't for everybody but like I said these are my own ambitions a multi day kayaking in the Scottish lockes it has it all wild camping, bushcraft, and a great adventure. Good luck with the channel I'm sure it will peak so m8
Definitely good ideas! I love any adventures and I’m a qualified kayak coach so I’ve been thinking about filming some kayak adventures. I might have to build blue a raft and pull him😂. Having a cause to raise money for us always a good motivator. All love for your dad.

Brilliant I’m sure you’ll love it! Hammocks are cosy as they encapsulate you. Sometimes take a bit of getting use to. I’m sure you know but make sure you have an under quilt or decent sleeping mat (Or both). The cold air underneath will make you nithered. ‘Toastally’ enjoy! (Horrendous dad joke😂🤦🏻♂️)

Mate can't tell you how much h your channel and videos have helped me, I live in the lakes and wanted to a bit of hiking and camping was put off by alot of know it all on some of the face book pages, I watched your videos and they gave me the confidence to get out and do it, I sadly loas my grand father in June and my dad unexpectedly in September, if it wasn't for your enthusiasm I Dont think I would have done it and quite easily gone down a different path, like many I am starting on a budget but loving it. Was last out in mid Oct and felt the cold 🥶 may venture out again soon but keep it low and maybe in a wooded area. Thanks for everything hope to bump into you some time so I can thank you in person and may be get you a beer 🍺 cheers

Went there on a school trip. A guy took off his camo jacket, neatly folded it and put it down. Never saw it again, on account of it being camo. The next year, somebody on the next trip found it still folded up and brought it back!
I also never made it up, as I was wearing motorcycle boots and my ankles were killing me 😂. Glad to finally see the top now.
