My fiance and I have been together for 5 years now. We took our time getting to know each other. She is like no other woman I have ever known. The pros outweigh the cons by far.

Hello, Thanks for a few more pointers. I have a LDR with a Filipina woman- meeting early next year....and I agree with all you said about how they treat their man....atleast from what she has told me. I think I have found the one for me- as we have had great talks daily for 2 months now and video calls- and no $$ requests. I am looking forward to seeing if it is talk or for real in a few months 🙂

I have some experience, having been married to my first Filipino wife for 42 years, she died from Covid pneumonia in June 22. Very depressed for 2 years, then her friend of 35 years, introduced me to my new Filipino wife. We have been married for 2 months, great relationship. I have never been to Philippines, my first wife, was divorced. My second wife was a widow for 8 years.

I've been married to a Filipina over three decades and our son is also married to a Filipina.
For you guy who are dating to marry, I can imagine that the problem is affording yourself the opportunity to date some women, if you are over there and not marrying the first one that you date. If they are wife material and you are attracted to them, its over. You can date them for a while to confirm. I knew in the first month with my wife and wasted two more years of dating and engagement. I could have just taken a year because it was that clear.

A big con is if you marry a Filipina and want her to live in your country the visa process can be quite difficult and costly.

Finding a good one, that's a challenge! When you have a bad one you usually only find out when it's too late! I'm speaking from experience! Therefore my advice to other foreigners would be: rent, don't buy!

“The advantages of marring a Filipina do NOT out weigh the advantages “, so you are saying they’re not worth the effort? Wow!

    • @LouWanOjos
      @LouWanOjos 16 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

That statement got me too, but later, I thought it meant that the advantages are approximately equal to the disadvantages. It might also depend on how much weight you place on any one disadvantage.

I think you missed some real problems you can encounter with a Filipina.
What about their total lack of critical thinking and logic which is non existent. With respect I’m not running anyone down here.
I have been with my Filipina in a LDR for 14 months before marrying her and bringing her to Australia. I love her to bits but I had already recognised her lack of logical thinking in communicating with her.
I cannot talk and reason with her on things, she just doesn’t get it. I don’t like to use the word but it’s like she’s very primitive in her thinking?
Also on humour, we can laugh at things together, we have a similar sense of humour. But I did something to her as a joke when she had not long been here in Australia, something only Aussies do to someone they like.
She was totally offended by it and was very angry calling me disrespectful etc etc. I touched her face with a dishcloth in fun way was all it was?
Also it needs to be mentioned that they are very easily offended, and they will never admit they’re wrong. Example……I was washing dishes with running hot water, she put her hand under and blamed me because it was hot???
My wife has even said to me when they know they’re wrong they will always think they’re right.
This is a massive pride thing with them. Also they will think nothing about lying which to most westerners is on the nose. This is another thing you have to try and understand about their culture, and the pride thing as in saving face. They will think nothing of lying, even when they don’t need to, I don’t know if it’s just my wife but she will tell me things she’s going to do without eny intention of doing it?? Oh and they never forgive.
But as I said I love and respect her to bits, she a good virtuous morally upright woman, something that is hard to find nowadays.
