I can't believe I just found your channel now. I'm a casual gamer who can say my favorite modern game is Starfield. Unfortunately, I probably listen to people talk about the game while I work rather than actually playing it recently. This is the first BGS game I actually clicked with. Good times when I have the time. Gonna binge your content now.
The positive starfield content is out there! 😂 I have played & loved every bgs game from oblivion onwards. Every single one was different, & every one with it's own strengths & weaknesses. Starfield is no different in that regard. I think a lot of people have spoiled their own potential enjoyment of this game by focusing on the negatives.
I fall into the lover category.I thoroughly enjoyed Shattered Space and my only gripes with it are basically the same issues I have with Starfield as a whole. I think each major faction should offer a full on companion with a tie-in quest for example. Was also expecting “newer” weapons, as opposed to re-skins, but throughly happy with the apparel and gear. Also..never thought I’d appreciate seeing pathways and roads outside of a major city center.
Haha, I also love starfield & yes, the lack of roads & even trails has always been a huge issue for me! Haven't played shattered space yet but glad to hear roads are in vogue on va'ruun'kai! 😂

I'm enjoying Starfield a lot right now after not playing for about a year, but I think I'll wait till I can get the DLC on sale. Even if I bought it right this moment, I probably wouldn't get around to playing its content for quite a long while anyways since I still have a ton of base game content to play. Your video did convince me that it's worth playing someday though, as right now I'd put myself in the "Starfield lover" category.
I am just glad StarField finally has storied missions in locations surrounding a main city. It does suck that Andregia doesn’t have a bigger presence in the DLC though.
I hope subsequent updates / DLC addresses the issues with POIs and adds more variety. I can only hope intra-system space travel is added to the game, but I know this is highly unlikely 🙁
@MegaCMGaming yeah me too. Takes a lot of testing to get right. Comes down to two things; viability, & is it worth the resources to develop & implement flawlessly?

Good to know. I purposely "kept" Andre in preparation for this DLC (trying to be spoiler free). But now that I know she has no real input, ill go back to traveling with my trusted Adoring Fan. He complains less and is perfectly fine with being a little shaddy to get the job done.
Great review! I love, as you, the vast Universe so I left the Var un homeworld after 1h into the story and 2h exploring the planet, to go back and play the base game as I'm back after 6 months😊. The story and crammed area is not that important to me.

This dlc was definitely not made for Starfield fans, but more of a celebration to Bethesda games overall as well as trying to get the haters to join back in, it’s not bad at all tbh. They were able to work with a tough setting. I just wished they kept working on the base game though, the base game when it’s actually played is just this infinite experience that no other single player game could pull off, I would’ve liked to see bigger space fights, maybe followers could have ships or you could have a squadron or something. Figuring out more things to do on the way to poi’s, like maybe more types of resources? More reason to make an outpost, incentives to having a crew. Now the idea of astra is good idea, maybe some more types of reason to go for loot now. Yeah know. But all in all still a good dlc, a lot of experience to be gained every single playthrough as well as a lot unique dungeons to go into after going to the similar poi’s over and over in the base game.
@@kmphere Hate to break it to you man, but everyone hates Bethesda games right now. This might even be the last time we hear about Starfield from Bethesda. Really wish it weren't the case... Because if people actually played the game it would've been a different story. The game is actually genius and wholesome, literally an infinite experience game. The first of its kind, and not even a subscription is required either for it.

I really hope Bethesda sticks with it tbh, because I believe it’s a great game. But there’s a lot of people who hate the game right now and won’t give it a chance.
I can hear the devs saying to themselves: "I don't get what gamers want! They say they don't like the 1000 planet loading screen fast travel system one day then they turn around and say they don't like the one tile on one planet handcrafted content." I think either one of these things can improved with better/fun gameplay mechanics and storytelling. I don't seem to care about the characters much and I would like an overhaul of the melee system that feels more visceral and gorier. I miss VATS and kill cams and slow-motion dismemberment.
I can see how VATS might work in Starfield. I do kinda like the idea of Starfield being its own thing but seems like Bethesda is trying to cater to everyone. Not sure if that’s good or bad but interested to see what’s next!

Apparently not, but that makes plenty of lore sense though. This is because House Varuun doesn’t have the resources the Free Star Collective, let alone the United Colonies have. After all the whole reason Andregia is in the settled systems is to secure needed resources for her people.

100%. Subjective taste is EVERYTHING with video games. Haters often zero in & complain about one or two minor personal gripes, & then let that spoil their potential enjoyment.
Unfortunately the Shattered Space update broke my save, so until they fix it I can't play it. I was aboard the UC Vigilance in my save, but when loading it now I'm stuck floating in space outside Starfield's map
@beepbooploot I sent my save to Bethesda but the newest patch didn't fix it. I'll probably have to load a previous save instead at this point, which means losing 4 levels and having to do the ryujin quest line again.
It was a awesome story based dlc , next time add ship outpost parts aa official bethesda vehicle and atleast one more random point of interest, for a dlc like that i can wait for about 18 months or more but it should have all above mentioned things
Main game: $60, around 80-100+ hours of gameplay Shattered Space: $30, around 8-12 hours of gameplay NOPE! Instead I bought 3 games for $10 each that are highly rated from the past 10 years. Each with about 40+ hours of gameplay. The value proposition here is just insulting.
Also, worth mentioning that I really like Starfield, and I’ve played it off and on quite a bit. I’m not a hater. I just think these expansions and additions are terrible.

I actually liked the Oracle start to the DLC, but then it slowed down after that, which is to be expected once you hit the open world portion.

They are still working on the base game. Support and updates haven't stopped.

The only reason I am playing Starfield is because of mods. I don't play Skyrim or Fallout 4 without mods.
