looks like All the best trap bars got together and had a baby. Need to get one stat then wait on those handles options which I'm already looking forward to. Can't wait to see the specs on paper along with the price. I guess the price is irrelevant...glad I waited on this one to order an open trap!

VERY IMPRESSIVE I didn't think anyone would impress me with an open trap design but this has. Extremely innovative and versatile also looks well balanced when racked. Looks like the best trap bar on the market regardless of price and it's priced better then all/most.

Everyday I wish I would have gone with Rep over Sorinex for my power rack. Rep's innovations are amazing and they never stop impressing.
The removable handles will be key in making this bar better used for cambered squats and good mornings. When using my Vulcan Ox Bar, my arms feel very crowded when doing these exercises. You guys seemed to have nailed it. Great work! Feel free to send one my way 😆

Fantastic bar. You should add short sleeve (maybe 9") option.
Most people don't need 16 inch sleeves.
great idea! would be easier to move around my garage and in/out of my garage doing farmer carries. Shorter sleeves and still rackable please!
@@samrmills I meant loadable part. On the site it says 16.5".
With loadable part at 9", the total length would be under 6ft.
Rogue started making short sleeves for their barbells (68s, 70s, stump bar)
I think it's perfect for home gym.
Anyway, I ordered my Open Trap bar.
I think it's still the best on the market right now.
Will see if I can cut the sleeves shorter :)

Lookup for "Jetech 17mm Combination Wrench", it worked for me.

I like the future handle options. Too bad a narrower option wasn’t available at no cost. 27” might be too wide
Is there an estimated date when the alternative handle options will be available? The 27.3" between handles seems like it could be a little wide for me. Would like an option around 24" or so.

I got mine EARLY last week and it's the best trap bar of any kind that I've ever used. For reference I've used both rogues and sorenexs closed trap bars and they suck compared to this thing. The chrome and nurled handles just can't be beat and theres so much more room inside the bar for me to place my feet how ever I want with out worrying about the bar hitting my knees. Oddly enough it even balances easier than normal trap bars too.
The narrow handles are a really good idea!
We'll have a few different handle options for everyone. If you want to train your grip more(thicker), have a narrower option, etc. More to come this year!
i wonder if u guys could add some threading near the knurl and an optional handle set to make it more exactly like a SSB.
Which 17mm wrench or socket did you use to build this? I went to Home Depot twice today trying various ones and the space is so ridiculously narrow neither could tighten the bolt. I highly recommend making a customized piece and including it so people aren't so frustrated finding the 10-20% of wrenches that might fit. Make the bolt on OTHER side which has all the space who cares what it looks like if a customer can tighten it and use it. Or charge a bit more in shipping and have a bigger package and avoid this BS.

Darn near perfect. Although the default 27.5” grip separation is a surprising choice, given that most of us prefer 24” or so. Was this intentional to drive sales of accessory grip options? Solid product either way.
Make a version of this video with lighting.

I plead the 5th regarding that last "unique exercise variation.".
Just cancelled my kabuki trap bar order to pre order this because I wanted round tubing and rackability, funny thing is I'll probably get it around the same time the kabuki would've gotten to me.
Just got one and question.... might be insane but do you think a vertical leg press movement can be completed? I think yes, if you are able to balance it on your feet & spotters, of course. Thoughts? (Anyone can chime in 😁)

You don't explain what the rotating handles do differently I want to order but can't figure this out
All 3 of the rotating grips on the trip-grip handles have different diameters. This makes your forearm grip so much stronger and the lifts harder if you choose a thicker handle options. Great for grip strength!
@REPfitness ok now I understand. I am having trouble sizing the grip width between the handles. Should I just get normal? I suppose I could always change this
Can the bar be stored on the bottom rung of your gun rack style storage?
Any plans for even more elevated handles? I find that 6 inches elevated relative to the center of the weight plates is the most comfortable

Can you share what the other narrower grip options will be? I'd like a 25" personally for most of my lifting. I suppose 23" would be good as an option for other close grip lifts/presses. I imagine 23" would also be good for most women and 25" for most men. Saving 27" for the big guys and build up to from 25. Anyways already ordered and will wait on what's next like a lemming on this one. Also...if the handle (diameter) sizes are interchangeable that'd be a plus too! Looks like they will be from what I'm seeing.
We'll showcase all our upcoming handle options soon. 23" and 25", thicker, and maybe a more elevated all make sense. With the quick change ability, you'll be able to target different muscles (more trap dominant, more grip intensive, etc.)

With those removable handles the lifter will always have to make sure the handles are oriented correctly so they don't slip off. Right? Are the handles designed to also be "free" so they could rotate slightly while lifting?
They can be hand tightened to be useable (may be some slight movement without tension) or use the included tool to get them to not move at all. You got options.

Man, you are really winning the mental battle in my head against the Eleiko Open Trap Bar. Just one question, is there an option of simple handles instead of the doubles you have shown?
The dual handles now offer an in-line weight stainless steel handle option. The other handle really doesn't get in the way at all if you prefer to use that grip. And if you ever want to use an elevated one, it's there.

reeeeally wished I could've waited to nab this instead of the Vulcan Ox bar. Still a great bar, but it has its flaws...many of which this one solves.
I love this bar but I’m petite 100lb and this bar alone is like 60lb… the bar alone is too heavy for me 😭😭😭
