That's why you should use the plain dishwashing liquid without any flavor.. nothing will happen to the kitten because you will wash the soap

Maybe not let ur 2yr old carry the kitten by his neck? And u dont have to stimulate them to go, just put the boxes down and they’ll automatically go to them when they have to, or in the case where they mistake it for a bed, mix their old litter in with the new stuff so they know what its for, u can even put some poo and pee in the new stuff so they get the idea quicker.
Right lol. Pretty sure the cat leaving the box had more to do with the fact that it didn't have to go right that moment, and less of it "not being familiar with the litter" 🙄

Should NEVER hold a kitten or cat by the neck! They should be supported from the bottom as well in order to prevent the stretching of the spine and internal organs which is very DANGEROUS.

If what you're saying is true then I guess every mama cat has been doing it wrong. Mama cats carry their babies by gently grabbing them by the nape in order to transport them from one location over to another. The spine and internal organs are not being affected by this movement at all since it's only loose skin that's being grabbed. Do some more research on both domesticated and wild cats to learn more on how the mamas transport their babies from one location over to another. ALL cats whether domestic or wild naturally have extra skin on their necks in order for their mothers to be able to carry them.
But to hold the cat by its neck as the lady is allowing that 2 year old to do is gross negligence indeed! The lady in the video should have known much better than that to have permitted something like that to take place. How horrible!!😱

Terrifying you call yourself cat mother and how to hold the kitten and the 2 year old girl would have killed the kitten without knowing . The girl hold the kitten's neck that may chocked the kitten. What a mess! Go to tractor supply and buy a 40 lb bag of horse stall cover pellets. Less than $15 without all this work and soaking.
Ive raised over 20 cats and not once did i need to stimulate them to go potty. Great info on homemade cat litter.
When they are really small they do need to be stimulated if the mom is not around

@@SugarCubesMiki no, its not necessary, I raised a fresh baby, the mother took off, and she grew very muscular, large and healthy by the time her first checkup and I never did that.

I rather buy cat litter that’s too much work
I’m not an expert on making cats poop but I can only assume that being forced into a bucket of something unfamiliar & then being held down while someone rubbed your butt to try making you poop when you may not even need to- wouldn’t be all that comfortable or encouraging for anything other than running away. As the video shows, they seem to like it better as a bedding than a litter.
To each their own though! So if you want to go through all that work for a bucket of litter after 5 days, then you should definitely do that. However, personally- I’d rather just spend the extra few dollars to get a much bigger bag of pellets at The Tractor Supply store about 20 mins from home. One bag has lasted my cat a month & she’s never had any issues deciding if it was litter or bedding. And I don’t deal with any smells or lingering odors as well.. I’m just sayin, seems like a LOT of work & time for such a small amount in the end, but that’s just me..
And I do agree with everyone else, I think the child should be taught how to properly handle kittens. They learn by what they see, so if you’re handling them gently & properly then the kid will learn from watching you do it.
Put it in a pillow case, zip tie and wash it in the washer.

Budget friendly pero time consuming. Time is gold so it's better to buy cheap cat litter instead

Sadly, the child doesn't know how to hold a cat because of lack of proper education on how to treat animals :( you dont need to "teach" your cat to scratch the litter or "stimulate" them to poop. Thumbs down

As a proudmom of 9cats & 2rabbits & 1foster cat... you dont have to stimulate kittens to use litter, yes you do that but, only for 1-3weeks old kittens w/o mamma cat.. thanku for the diy homemade litter, really helpful..personally i like litter balls & crystals & litter sand & wood dust...il try this sometime, i hv alot of newspapers & magazines & office papers😄 .Bw really dont appreciate your boy holding the kitten like that.I hope you tc of it next tym.

Thanks po sa pag gawa ng video na ito may bago kaming natutunan 😊… sahre ko din po sayo about sa training po ng kuting add ko lang po para kahit di mo na po sya hawakan ok po siguro na pag lapag mo po sa kuting dun sa litter box nya, ipakita mo po na parang naghuhukay ka po gamit ang daliri mo din sa diy litter sand, example po yung hintuturo mo po kunwari naghuhukay hukay ka po dun sa litter sand nya para makita nya then gagayahin nya na. Pag ginagawa nya na po na naghuhukay hukay na sya mag start na din sya na mag try mag wiwi. Yung kuting po namin Sa cr sanay mag wiwi at pupu. Nag try po ako na turuan sya mag litter box, pero yung litter sand nya na ginamit ko is bistay (25 pesos per sack Sa hardware) 10mins lang po natuto na sya 😊

Great video. You do need to stimulate an orphan cat. The mother usually will like the kittens to teach them to use the litter box. I got my kitten Oreo at 3 weeks old and I needed to teach her to use the litter box, which took some stimulation moments. Then she eventually learned. I don't think I will be creating this homemade litter. I use World's Best Cat Litter made of one ingredient. My kitten at first started to eat it the litter but then she realized it wasn't for consumption. (She was seen by a vet and she was completely healthy.) Thanks for the video.
