About 4 years ago my dad was diagnosed with ALS. I decided to take care of him through the whole experience. Listening to this video one afternoon, on the verge of giving up and breaking down, was the only thing to calm me down during the last 6 months of hell and misery my family and I had to endure before my dad passed. It's so connected to my soul because of that time in my life. Anytime I pull it up I can't help but cry my eyes out. It truly is such a beautiful video. Thank you Rob and thanks to everyone out there who hasn't given up. Find that thing that keeps you going and hold on to it. You never know how you might affect other people's lives for the better.

Yeah or Rocksmith it's kinda "expensive" cause you need the realtone cable but very worth it! In my opinion better than yousician, take a look at it :D
Seconding the Rocksmith recommendation. I mostly learned to play on my own, but it provides a fun way to make me practice, and that's what really makes you improve. Between training videos, technique min-games, and having ready-to-play tabs similar to Guitar Hero for a ton of awesome songs (even more through DLC), it really feels like the best way to make an effective and fun "game-ified" training option. Recent updates have made it so that you can use USB microphones and an acoustic guitar, but I strongly recommend getting a Realtone cable (available alone or as a bundle with the game). It's on PC and consoles, so you have options for buying it. Seriously, check it out.
if you get rocksmith on PC you can also install Customs Forge and add just about any song you want, except most paid DLC songs. some of Scallon's stuff is even on there, as well as FamilyJules, CSguitar89, and others
I am at work at the moment, feeling kinda upset with myself talent wise. A while back I've brought this guitar in the video, and told myself I'm going to learn how to play like Rob Scallon. Of course that was harder than even I thought it was going to be. I've been trying to learn Anchor for nearly a year now, and most of the time this amazing guitar just stares at me on the wall. Anyway, it's a slow day and I put this on to listen to while I did things.....and I really wasn't expecting the Anchor play through at the end. It nearly broke me lol. In all seriousness: because scale length, mostly. You need considerably longer one than the standard 24-25.5" if you want to tune really low. And even if you want to just chug low notes it's usually cheaper and easier to get a guitar with more strings that has a good long length than a baritone 6-string that does.
Packing to go back to the States from studying in Japan for a year. Was rough in some places but I'm looking forward to the future and playing more guitar. Thanks for the ambience Rob
The really only bad thing about having a perfect pitch is that you can't hear this ABSOLUTE masterpiece with a damn gorgeous sounds, without noticing (and sometimes suffering) that the guitar is anything between 5 and higher herz out of tune in some strings......
