The advantage of a Jimny is being not too wide like any other regular SUV. I was in holidays in Italy and the mountain roads were so narrow, only the Jimny of the owner could get us to the accommodation =)

Almost same result...more power does not bring more grip.
It didn’t even seem like the G63 tried on the last go around. It looked like he tested the brakes more than anything 🤷🏻♂️ I would have liked to see it actually try with different locking differentials in use.
i believe all diffs were locked but you're right it looked like he was on the brakes not the throttle.
makes me wonder if there could be some computer antirollback trickery happening.

What beat the G wagon were the 12 wheel traction, not combined engine power

And everyone can clearly see that the G wagen was not hitting the gas at the start. The tires were rolling backwards, he was just standing on the brakes. So the traction was lost instantly. And once it is gone it is incredibly hard to get it back.

- AMG 2,550 kg (5,622 lb)
- Jimny 1,090 kg (2,403 lb)
You need 3 Jimnys to beat the AMG.
I’d say the extra power and the added grip from the 8 other wheels putting power down, probably had a little more to do with the result, than just the overall weight of the vehicles.

I’m assuming the Jimmy has very slim tires in comparison to the AMG which probably has something to do with the result as well.

G wagon's weight is its advantage here (more weight, more traction) but in an offroad situation, the weight can quickly become a disadvantage (same goes for the longer wheelbase). 2 Jimnys are still lighter than one G wagon, so the results were as you'd expect. Maybe two could win if they were in line, rather than in "parallel", which is not actually parallel here, as they were pulling at an angle, so quite a lot of force is lost. But yeah, Jimny is an offroad vehicle and G wagon is a luxurious SUV, with some offroading capabilities. If you want to go offroading or you need a capable offroad vehicle, take the Jimny. If you want luxury, take the G wagon, which is decent offroad, but not as good as the Jimny.
PS: the number of wheels here doesn't matter, if anything, one Jimny, with the weight of three could pull more than those three at an angle, like that.

You actually just need something heavier than 3 Jimneys that has low range. Or to equip the G with Offroad tires. (without giving the Jimneys Offroad tires) With the same grip of the tires the heavier side wins, when Grip differs, the side with more Grip can beat the other side even with a little weight disadvantage.
