He's essentially a free NP5 Saber Diarmuid, but with a lot better uptime on his own buffs (Diarmuids are mainly 1 T) in exchange for having slightly less NP gain. I mean heck, their NPs are similar but with different applications. Still though, free Welfare male...he's getting grails lol
Saber Karna feels like the closer comparison. Karna has a way higher damage ceiling thanks to his deck and crit potential. Meanwhile Setanta's damage can ramp up over the course of a longer fight thanks to that Defense Down on his NP.
Yeah, Santa Karna is the obvious comparison. Though it's important to remember that Karna's Quick and Buster up are only 3 attacks 3 turns. Seems to me like which you choose depends on the fight. Karna has more immediate burst damage, but shorter durations for his buffs, so he's better for short fights, while Setanta is better for longer ones. Though if the Enemies have any Wild Beast traits, Setanta is absolutely the superior choice.
Setanta seems more consistent and his NP hits slightly harder than Santa Karna. But Karna has massive crit damage bonuses to compensate. though against Lancer Wild beasts Setanta is the no brainer option. (regardless of other niches or NP levels on your 5 stars) and Even against berserkers, you need to hit like TTH on Enkidu and have at least NP2 in order to beat him out.
I know that 3 time unlimited duration evade is a lot. Everyone knows it's a lot, especially on a 5T CD. But c'mon, it's Cu, it's his thing. That's like having an Artoria without the charge on NP, or an EMIYA without Projection. If they were going to make it a weaker version and on a 6T CD, they could have at least made it 3 times, 5 turns.

His S3 is literally shishou S1 with lower damage but better chance (and slightly better evade since it can last multiple turn if enemy doesnt hit him), even thought shishou S2 fix the S1 problem its still quite annoying tbh since the cd doesnt match up Seriously, where is my shishou buff lasagna

Yagyu has the exact same atk stat I believe

Yagyu with fous has 9999k atk while Cu lily has over 10k
