  • If you like rice krispies treats AND peanut butter, then this recipe is definitely something you want to try! I used Skippy's creamy peanut butter and regular chocolate chips and melting candies for the chocolate layer. I would have used only melting candies, but I ran out and needed more chocolate because WHO wants a thin layer of chocolate?? haha! I hope you give this recipe a try!

    Ingredients:
    1/4 cup butter
    1 10oz bag mini marshmallows (about 5 cups)
    1/2 cup peanut butter
    6 cups rice krispy cereal
    8 oz chocolate chips (about 1 1/2 cups)
    2 tsp vegetable oil to thin out chocolate
    9x13 inch baking dish
    Directions:
    Melt the butter over low-medium heat. Once the butter has mostly melted, add in the marshmallows. Once the marshmallows start to melt, add in the peanut butter. After everything is nice and melted, turn off the heat and add in the rice krispy cereal. Give everything a good mix.
    Lightly spray a 9 x 13 inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Drop in your cereal mixture and evenly spread it out in the dish.
    Melt the chocolate in the microwave for 1-2 minutes, stirring every 20 seconds or so. If the chocolate is too thick, add in 2 tsp of vegetable oil to thin it out. Pour the chocolate onto the cereal and spread it out evenly coating the top. Let the chocolate set for 2 hrs before cutting into.
    Store in an air tight container at room temp.

    Thank you so much for this video. I use a natural peanut butter so it's not thick like the peanut butter you used...mine is more runnier, do I need to change anything. Thank you

      I don't think you need to change anything. Just make sure you've mixed your peanut butter well before adding it in. 😊✨💖

      Okay, because when you added the butter it thinned your peanut butter out a lot, so I am wondering how it"s going to further thin out my mixture, but we'll see. LOL Again thank you so much. 😊

    How many Rice Krispies do you get out of this recipe?

    • @JustAddMoreButter
      @JustAddMoreButter  ปีที่แล้ว

      I used a 9x13 inch baking dish, so from that, how many you'd get depends on how big you cut your squares. 😊

    Do you think, I can substitute or just add nutella to the chocolate.??

    • @JustAddMoreButter
      @JustAddMoreButter  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes you can, however keep in mind the nutella won't set up the same way as the chocolate.
