iI liked your video, thanks very much, it reminds me of the time my friend Ray and i passed our bike tests on two M20s during my last posting in the British Army at 3 Div Airhead Ordanance Company at Luggershall south England in 1976, we became the despatch riders for the base, we had some really good times on the M20s and we broke them a few time doing stunts but luckily didn`t get into trouble he had a Honda CB250 and i had a 250 Suzuki RamAir which was knackered and i bought a Triumph 750 `export` model from Motorcycle city in Aldershot having just made it there on my Suzuki, good job Ray was with me on his bike, and on the way back to camp the back wheel neary came off the Triumph, very scary. It`s good to see these bikes being restored by enthusiasts like yourselves, it keeps us oldies happy, thanks again.
Restoration is pure engineering. For restoring any machine you have to earn very depth knowledge of machine and vintage automobile engineering technics. This is not loke art, no one can restore a vintage machine with just waving paint brass, here needed pure talent and dedication to learn old automobile technics, you have collect knowledge form old rare books, retired mechanic and from very rare genuine manuals. That's why only few human exits who have this kind to scientific and technical knowledge to truly restore a vintage machine and give then life once again, so that there engine can beat once again with the former glory. Salute for all Vintage automobile Restores.
My Grandfather rode BSA M20 motorbikes during WW2. He was in the 2NZEF (2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force) signal corp. I have a photo of him with his M20 taken somewhere in North Africa, and I have all his medals. Thank you for restoring these motorcycles.
Awesome nostalgic i used to own a BSA 650 gold star at 18 years now i am 55 thanks for the great trip went back to my teenage memories wish i could get some old vintage bikes to ride again with those pilot shape glasses and the open helmet old is gold thanks keep the good work going on and share more videos you made my day.
The chap was wrong to say M20s need careful maintenance . They were built so rugged for army use they could and were horribly neglected yet still kept running . I had an ex desert army M20 when i was 15 that i rode over ploughed fields and through tangled woods and it was completely indestructable . I just left it under a hedge one day to have lunch and imnever saw it again ; nicked !
Kailashji and Ady Khamagani! Kailashji built my first custom Enfield on 1995/96 and installed a vintage car rear tyre trimmed and adapted swingarm... aluminium cylinder heads and all..it was awesome!
I have watched National Geographic, Discovery and History Channel. I really love them the infomation, the diversity across all verticals and the way they show stories. And I have been following 101 India for the last 3-4 monthsand there's not been a single day I have stopped thinking about one of your videos. If there is something coming from India on the same lines as this channel its you. You can become one of those channels.
I honestly feel devastated that despite being a Antique bike enthusiast I never came across a gem of channel like yours until now. Have subscribed with just this video and have a daunting task of catching up with all your old videos. Wish me luck.
i visited Jaipur a few years ago but did not know of your workshop otherwise i would have loved to visit. Next time i will come round but since i am in England i doubt if it will be on my BSA M21 !! Although i would love to give it try !!
Such an enlightening and lovely video!!, who can ever dream to dislike it??, would like to own a BSA one day, restored by this very man, if luck favours enough!!..
Nicely done. I have a postwar M21 and a wartime 16H. I prefer them to OHV bikes of the same era. They have a certain charm, as long as one is not in a hurry.....
Hey! I just started up with motorcycling last Feb. Bought myself an Avenger Cruise 220. Since I started riding it, I started enjoying the rides. The thing is, when it comes to having some knowledge about the bike, I lack in it so much. I have tried asking some people on how and where to acquire an in-depth knowledge about my bike so that I would know about how everything works and is fixed, but to no avail. I also wished to learn how to build a bike from scratch and that as well seems to be impossible.
My grand father had a BSA Road Rocket 650. Some years back my Uncle he sold it to an anglo indian a vintage bike freak vintage bike..but now we all feel sad and feel nostalgic
Front fender isn't the one as the original, Headlight is from a BSA bb31, tank as well never came with a badge however happy to see it alive running, your mechanic has rather a original bike.
@@EnriqueGonzalez-iu3so actually I wasn't, I played the video a little slow and saw the air valve on the wheel moving, it was visible...but the rims of the wheel still look a little dodgy

@venky IYER ++venky IYER would it be possible to get your contact sir?
I had a '44 M20 when I was stationed in Asmara, Ethiopia in 1966. Wonderful travels.
Have a ex australian army 1941 m20 in my shed, had it since 1981, quirky old bike, they ride alright for an old steam pigeon!
I know this man Kailash ji his a great passionate vintage lover ,salute this guy
video lacked sound of the bike
Vasu Bansal I was reading the comments to check whether someone already said that. 😀
It would have been better had there been the sound of the bike itself. Why the maker didn't give sound of bike is well known to himself !
Because if you check the front wheel at 4:59, it isn't moving...maybe the bike was actually not running and kept on a platform
Yes I also expected sound ,but unwanted background music made hopeless video.
Should have included the exhaust note. Btw Lovely story and i'm glad we have British motorcycles in India
Yes would have like to hear exhaust sound.
