I'm now aged 85, but in my younger (army) days I was a dispatch rider with the Royal Artillery, my bike being a faithful BSA M20. At the age of 18, I was given a motorcycle to ride, with free fuel & maintenance. What's not to like.... Happy days!😁

Hi Barrie, thanks for watching and for sharing a bit of your story. Where did you serve? Free fuel and maintenance sounds like a great thing, although I imagine the M20 probably did much of either.

Beautiful bike, and a great video from a kind man who speaks the truth about riding like a motoGP rider on public roads.

My name's Barrie, my first motorised bike was a Minimotor mounted on a push bike at the age of 14. I was a dispatch rider in the British army in the fifties my mount being the trusty BSA M20. I'm 86, and still riding, my bike being a Yamaha MT 03 light, but fast. Keep on keeping on as long as you can👍

Hi Barrie, thanks for watching, hope you enjoyed our video about John and his M20. The MT03 is a great little bike, in fact the whole MT range are pretty good.

Great interview with a wise, old, experienced but still passionate biker. I was fascinated to learn the history of his father riding the bike in his war commission / assignment

I've had my ex army m20 since 1981, I've probably pushed it more than I've ridden it! But i like that old steam pigeon! There is certainly a few truck to start it as well as riding it.

i love your M20. I have the M21 but they are more or less the same. No doubt your Triumph is more versatile and you can go a longer distance but the BSA has, in my opinion, more character. Then again I don't need a motorbike for travel or work so it's purely for fun. Some days I feel very unwell and would not go out on it but on the good days I love going out for a run. I had new valve seats put in when unleaded blew the old exhaust valve. I still use additive but I probably don't need it.

Agree, plenty of character in an old BSA. Thanks for watching
