Do Trump supporters have some kind of notifications on for every time he's mentioned? Hope you're making a pretty penny for your unwavering support!
Besides the song was written in 2007 before many of the political issues he's trying to associate it to. I get that music is equivocal, but I always thought the song related to the disappointments of your home, life, relationships and the inefficacy of trying to escape them. America just being the specific stand-in for the song.

In 4 years of being a politician, Trump somehow managed to create America's problem of systemic racism (despite increasing funding to black colleges by a record #, despite reducing unemployment in the black & hispanic community to all-time lows, despite the eradication of critical race theory in govt), he managed to create the military industrial complex (despite being the 1st prez in 38 years to not start a war in his 1st term & despite the withdrawal of troops from every warzone he inherited from Obama), he created rifts the world over (despite unprecedented peace deals normalizing relations in the middle east). Oh, and he created globalization (despite killing the TPP and his commitment to restoring domestic production). Truly an evil man who is far worse than all the dictators who killed hundreds of millions. I don't like Trump, but I'm not stupid enough to not be able to see for myself what his politics are.

What is your definition of love. What you call love as a human the God that created you calls sexual immorality. Its like you want to twist the hand of God tyo tell Him His got it wrong with what he finds an abomination and not. Let me tell you what real love is: God loved humans so much that He sent His only Son to die for us so that we have a chance of eternal life with Him. That Son, Jesus, the had a message which is NOT difficult to understand. It is clear an precise. Nothing is up for interpretation like many would want to believe, His word are plain an simple........Repent of you sins and believe in My Words....Thats the whole message

Wainwright articulates the impossibility of analysing the present crisis in national terms. It makes no sense. "America" is always taken as a whole in his words but in reality it is divided into social classes.
Wainwright is either oblivious to this or he actually disagrees. He promotes identity politics saying the failure to come to terms with slavery and women's rights are the two big issues while he says nothing about the world's major imperialist power road to war, whether governed by the Democrats or Republicans.
