Cracking video John. I have a feeling I’m going to be raiding my Netherlands stock, and sending some your way in your next monthly pack!! I’m also sending you something special in the next week or so 😮

Great coverage John on your video of Netherlands stamps. Not familiar with this area of stamps at all but your collection and layout I has obviously taken hard work and time to put together. Keep up the great work as its great to know about other countries stamps and background.

Great video. I Love the way you have put that book together. Leaving the spaces for the collection. Very time consuming but worth it

Hi from Australia. I have a very good Netherlands collection I have put together. I have really enjoyed your video showing your collection.
The perforations you spoke about at the 18th minute are named as syncopated perfs and come in a few different ways. Type A 2 sides; Type B 4 sides; Type C 2 sides corners only. My collection is about 85% complete. Keep up the great videos.

Plus, I hope I didn't murder the Dutch language too much with my attempts at pronounciation!

As always, enjoyed your video! Interesting again to see how your organize your album, especially right from the start. That last page with the "machin-like" stamps indeed is a piece of art. Looking forward to your next video ... and you passed 900 when I write this. 1000 here we come. 👍🙂

Great vid yet again and congrat on your subscribers, you are very informative and that's how you make those cat numbers..i must try that...I use Album Easy for my pages slowly slowly..I have Greece, New Zealand, Britain, Cyprus, Cook Islands to collect.I started in 1972 [51 years.]. I was a idiot using hinges on my mint stamps for Greece and NZ, but i have recently upgraded from MLH to MNH ,so now i have Greece 1958 to 1995 inclusive MNH .NZ to follow.

You inspire me John. I love your set up and organization and hope to duplicate it to some extent. I too have galssines sorted by countries that I am undecided on; some I may go through and use some day, many I likely won't. You're a brave man to take on Germany. I have avoided it because it just seems too overwhelming to me. Love the Isle of Man stamp and the cancel as well and I do enjoy a Heineken myself ;)
And I learned northern slang! Bonny....is that where the term Bonny Prince Charlie comes from? Keep up the great work.

The Germany collection is going to be focused on the years circa 1918 to 1950, and I'll be looking at DDR 1949 - 1960s, before they started churning out those worthless CTOs to sell to collectors to help prop up their failing economy.

North West Britain you say? I grew up in the region in America called Appalachia and I have found that the dialects and accents of the Scottish lowlands and North Western England, no to mention, Ulster, Ireland, have some very similar characteristics. I grew up hearing the word 'bonnie' from time to time as an affectionate descriptive term for a special place or female person. Bonnie was also a popular name for girls.

One phrase I remember is the reference to the eyes of infant's as being "bonnie blue" "He / she has such bonnie blue eyes."

Hi John, I really admire the way you organize your stamps and your knowledge. I do have a complete mint set but no duplicate of the 95 cent, sorry.l also have a 10 cent which has been cancelled to a 12 cent in a silver overprint which I think is pretty cool but I don’t have any knowledge about it. All the best and thanks for sharing.

Yeah the roltandige stamps are pretty expensive. In Albums (Davo, Lindner etc.) they’re usually part of the back of the book section. The back of the book section for the Netherlands is where most of the more expensive stamps are.

Nice collection John. My main collection are dutch stamps and the way you organize it is impressive. I use a Davo album for this collection. For the rest of my colle tion 8 use stockbooks. Your way of collecting and stocking ( is that an english word?) is very attractive. Can you tell me how you make the labels? Is that specific label printer?
Thx for sharing your content with us!
