First off. You my friend are awesome. Another great great segment. AVP is definitely gonna be a good OC, looking forward to seeing this young Corp get going. I'm a fan of tyquan starting. And like I have said before, let's go get a LT like Donavan Smith secure that spot and focus on the season at hand

Appreciate it Keith!! Smith would be a good idea…better than going after Wrs they don’t need

Hoping fans stay optimistic regardless of the outcomes. Complete new coaches and offense will be difficult to be an automatic success. Need to give maye the time needed. And additional great offensive line men.

They gotta get someone on the left side of that line man.

Agreed, will be tough if they don’t get anyone

Brissett needs to be the starter. Maye is still young and inexperienced even compared to most other rookie QBs. Whether Maye would give them the best chance to win or not is honestly irrelevant at this point. At this point it HAS to be all about Maye and his development. Putting Maye out there right off behind this Oline, if anything would, would be the biggest detriment to his development as a QB. The last thing you need to do as a franchise builder is put your young QB in a position that would reinforce the negative traits in your QB. It could easily cause the game to speed up, instead of slow down, for him. Like what we did to Jones. It could easily also cause his development to go down the "outside of structure" road completely and create a situation where that's all his instincts know. Instead of a QB that uses the "outside of structure" as a tool, a la Mahommes, it could very well create one that uses that part of the game as a crutch.
Even if Maye excels at the outside of structure stuff it's still not what you want a QB to rely on. It should be a tool that he has in his back pocket, but not his entire game and putting a young QB in what could be a failing situation might just create that kind of player.
Also there's the injury chance factor. A young QB can't develop at all if they get injured. That would be the worst outcome of them all. So giving the Oline at least a month to solidify anf Maye a month of "real" live action gameplay tape on how different types of defenses will counter the offense and the looks that they will show pre snap to hide those counters can only be beneficial to him. It's not about the instant gratification, it's always about building the next franchise/dynasty.

A lot of solid points! Maye did have more designed runs that Jacoby. The Rushing TD was a RPO that he took for 6. I would agree though that they should not rely on his ability to just “improv”…It only worked so well for Johnny Manziel..will be fun to see what they do

With how badly this team screwed up the last 1st round QB I think they're going to make sure they don't repeat those mistakes. They put Mac in a situation that reinforced all his bad habits and it turned him into a disaster. They want to make sure Maye can utilize his "special" talents while not falling back into his bad habits such as poor footwork. Or shattering his confidence.
On the other hand there is a point that they could go too far with this mindset which could also destroy a QB's confidence.
Based on last season's outcomes for each team we have one hell of a tough schedule this year. Especially the run at the beginning of the season. I don't think starting him off against some of these tough defenses they're going to face rights out of the gate would be good for him. Waiting a month to get the games against teams like the Jets and 49ers behind them and not throwing him into that kind of fire is the right move. Ideally they probably want to try and give him a confidence boost right out of the gate.

It's quarter 4 of the game a day later but we really need to get rid of Brissett and sign Tannehill, whoever thought Brissett would be a better option is a 🤡

We need an oline, just tank this year. Experiment with schemes and the rookies.
