He gets real uncomfortable talking about himself he said that in a different interview he is very much an introvert but people think him being an actor he is always outgoing, still, he is a very talented and humble guy from what I can gather.
For sure. You can tell when actors come back they are twice as comfortable and really start letting loose. I think Emily Blunt knows him really well because she just forgets she's even being interviewed lol.
What i love about Ali's interviews is that he puts every guest he interviews so much at ease that they eventually end up having a good time. I mean look at Adam and his other interviews, he is definitely one of the few actors who is not easy to interview.
Seeing Adam Driver smiling and laughing so much in this interview is delightful. This is just further proof that Ali Plumb is talented at bringing people out of their shells.
I thought Adam had it in the bag, but then Joker came out. I do think if the Joker movie had been more campy, then maybe, Adam would have had a better chance.
I can say this man is probably the best interviewer I ever saw doing movie stuff. Everyone he interview is having fun, and questions are not offensive but also very personal and professional at the same time.
Also: such a good interview. Almost too good questions, Adam was clearly more prepared for the usual hairbrained stuff from other interviewers. But, that just opened up for this wonderfully humorous back and forth. I laughed heartily on several occasions. (Pls forgive my bad spelling, I'm from Sweden and lazy: I just couldn't bother checking out one or two of the words here)
Only the Maui Film Festival interviews have him more relaxed with him being constantly stunned of the amzing nature. And after this one, I'd probably put the Cannes 2021 hotel room interview(s) in terms of being at ease.
Adam: “If I had a nickel for every time a fan asked for a selfie in the bathroom I’d have two nickels. It’s not a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.”
@@billiey36 Thank you so much for that information. It's not like I could tell, but I got the impression (also from what he said) that he's been constantly at it. Not good for anyone and in that field of work it's almost risky to flow into different personalities constantly without much time to "act as self". Very glad he's taking a break.
I've watched so many Adam Driver interviews over the past few years and he seems genuinely more comfortable doing press for House of Gucci than he did for star wars but then again it could also be a matter of him growing accustomed to all of it and thanks to Ali's energy.
That and him saying how in touch he gets with a character he plays and how it changes his biology. Him playing Kylo Ren and forcing himself to become someone cold and "dead" can also have an effect on his day to day
Ali Plumb and Graham Norton out here proving to be the best interviewer with how much Adam laughed and smiled in their interviews and seemed so comfortable.
This is now one of my favorite interviews with him! Ali kills it every single time with the questions the vibes, everything is just amazing! Adam seems so much more out of his shell
I've never seen Adam Driver being this comfortable and happy in any interview. That's all Ali Plumb's work guys.. He is hands down the best interviewer hands down!!!

*This* is why I think Ali’s such a good interviewer. He genuinely cares about the person behind the ‘star’ and having a good fun chat to get to know them better. I always enjoy watching his interviews back 👌

Ali this is probably my most favorite interview with Adam, EVER. Good, interesting questions and he seemed to enjoy it as well. Great work as always :)

i think this is the best interview with adam driver i've ever seen- i've never seen him seem so happy and engaged in one before :) his outfit is also impeccable
Ali is probably my favorite interviewer, he's very thoughtful about the questions he asks and how he asks them, and he gives the actor time to process and come up with an equally thoughtful answer. He doesn't go for fluff, and he actually asks questions with the _actor_ in mind instead of himself. He wants them to feel not only comfortable in the interview, but that their time is being spent well, enriched even. You are worth the time Ali, I'm not a celebrity but I'd love to sit and talk with you.
Adam Driver is such a great actor. Admittedly discovered him through The Force Awakens and he was my standout performance for all 3 and my favourite character, so well developed (Not going down the Star Wars debate rabbithole!). Hope he returns to the franchise one day, would be amazing.
I always know Ali's interviews are going to be funny and insightful. Also thank you for putting info on vids of set takes. Helps me look them up if I think they look interesting.
Adam Driver IS great! He’s a brilliant actor that can do any kind of genre. He makes me laugh hysterically and feel deeply in emotional scenes - that final argument scene in Marriage Story had me tearing up. I could literally feel the heartbreak in that scene. Let me also point out that Adam’s brilliance was greatly coupled with that of Scarlet Johansson who is also as equally amazing. That was some amazing casting for sure! Superb pairing of two great actors.

I’ve never seen a bad interview from Ali, he treats these celebrities like people and he approaches these interviews more like conversations. And you can see it from the celebrities too, they always seem much more ease with him than some other interviewees.
This was one of his best, more relaxed interviews! Absolutely loved it. And I wish Adam would stop thinking that’s he’a boring or monologuing. His fans love him and love what he has to say!
Is it just me, or do Ben Solo and Adam Driver have so much in common? I mean, I imagine Ben Solo as a socially awkward bean, and that's exactly what Adam Driver is. I mean, imagine Ben and Adam meeting eachother, they'd just be two awkward peas in a pod!
His performance in Inside Llewyn Davis was really underrated. It's hilarious that he, Justin Timberlake and Oscar Isaac sang "Please Mr Kennedy" together *"UH OH, OUTER SPACE"* 😂😂
