What happened was that Rowan Atkinson got a boat load of money to come up with the Bean movie. Thats what ended the show. He had originally quit mr Bean to work on other things but then the Americans wanted him.
I lost it when Rudolph Walker appeared in his dads dress uniform :D

I don't know I'm seeing this show for the first time lately, but I love it. The 90s were a happier time.
This series gets funnier with every re-watch.
Aside from that obnoxious laugh track, I agree.
This was a great series. Lots of laughs with that awkward British wit. Atkinson is awesome.

Rowan comes as close as possible to a slap stick comedian...with the facial movements and the sarcasm that only the Brits can pull off! Marvelous scripts and acting.

Now that's comedy. Start subtle and each instance gets more and more outrageous until the final person shows up. Those actors must have some serious discipline to get through that scene.

Well THAT was diverse! I saw Rowan Atkinson's Land Rover Defender being prepared in the special projects area of the factory some years ago. All the capping was galvanized and there were hasps for padlocks on the doors!
The producer clearly tried to predict what a future police force would actually look like and he was spot on.
Sergeant Patricia behind the counter is gorgeous.
Rowan Atkinson here, in Blackadder, or Mister Bean, was a comedic Master!

That's Mark Addy, most known for playing Fred Flintstone in Viva Rock Vegas, his part in The Full Monty and yes, King Robert Baratheon in Game of Thrones.
He's from the same place as me and a regular in the pub I once worked in. Nice quiet guy that likes to keep himself to himself and avoids the lime light in real life.

RKG...now you're talking of another brilliant show...I think I watched that 3 times (Hyacinth and Onslow's stray dog is just fall on the floor lauhing - I don't abbreviate) - dogs react when they see a nasty person.
My favourite moment in the entire show is when the BBC start filming and Gladstone belts out OL MAN RIVUUUUUUUUURRR
Surely if they were filmed "As God made us", as per his suggestion, then they'd all be naked?
