- Today I tell you which rental from Wednesday's video we chose! This was a hard choice for us to make, especially since it was for our long-term home. Thank you for watching and I hope you enjoy it!

I’m still in awe that this is where we call home! 🥰 From watching cruise ships and ferries come into and leave from port to walking the dogs along the beach to walking to great little taco stands and markets for a FRACTION of what we’d pay (and HAVE paid) for less desirable places in the US. 🤯 God is good!! Also loving being on this adventure with our Alexa! ❤

Funny enough, the grassy area we have right outside the building has a sign saying no dogs 😂 But we just walk our dogs on the Malecon. There are several sandy squares/trees they’ve gotten used to using.

What was the price for the one with the putt-putt golf? Address?
It was $16,000 MXN at the time we were looking. Not sure if it has changed. I don’t have an exact address unfortunately, but it was in Palmilla Grand Residencial in Cerritos.

They're called Aurigas and I believe they are specific to Mazatlán, but I'm not 100%.

We used to live in that area. Amazing to hear Gods guidance. Have you checked out la vina in the golden zone? It’s a cool church that we used to volunteer with.

Our realtor got it down to $16,000 MXN (which is roughly $800 USD). We signed a year lease and we definitely love the location. It’s been amazing living here 😊 Thank you for watching!

We are headed to Mazatlán in 4 months to live for a few months then travel all over Mexico for the next few years exploring the country. We loved watching your story so far. Would you mind giving us the name of the Relator you had that helped you find your place. They sounds like they did a great job for you. Are you still loving living there? I know it takes a few weeks to really settle in. Your dogs are soooo sweeeet!

I absolutely love living here! It is truly paradise for me! As I said in the video, I’m a major beach bum so being across from the beach is amazing! And thank you about the dogs. They were curious throughout the whole process since it’s been a lot of change for the past year haha.

Hi Alexa....we are considering Mazatlan, and just a question for you. How is it with the dogs in a highrise condo?? Is it getting old to have to take them down each morning? What about the traffic noise from the traffic? Are you still happy with your pick? Thanks and hope you are loving Mazatlan...it's a special place for sure!
Hey, thanks for watching! Mazatlán has been amazing! As for the dog walking question, my dad does it most of the time mornings and evenings. We knew moving here that it would come with the territory.
Traffic noise isn’t too bad aside from the occasional auriga/pulmonía/side-by-sides with loud music. Even then it’s mainly a weekend thing. We are also on the back of the building so it’s not as extreme as what we’ve heard from people in the front. When we close the windows it muffles pretty well.
We are still very happy with our choice and love it here. However when our lease is up, we will be moving somewhere else. There are just a few reasons we think there would be an even better fit for us. We miss having the ability to have a bbq grill. We don’t have an oven. We’d also like a third bedroom for guests. Also the cost of electricity in this tower is higher than some areas, but we knew that moving here.

I think for us, we need to rule out the high rises..my dog asks to go out all the time, I think it would be a bit unfair to him. We may have to find a house, but a house with a yard is a tough one too 🤣. The complexity with pets, I swear! For us specifically, we receive a bill every 2 months. The amount varies greatly depending on the time of year and our usage. During the summer season there’s a government subsidy. But even then, living in this particular tower, and having all electric appliances, it is higher than other areas of town.

That’s a great question! It is $16,000 MXN = about $800 USD depending on the exchange rate. However, it is only that low because of our realtors great negotiation. Normally this building is pricier. Thanks for asking! 💕
