IN THIS EPISODE
All things must come to an end. RV Life in Mexico far exceeded our expectations. From the people, laughter, good cell coverage and amazing food, but after 10 weeks, it's time to drive home. This episode we prepare Ginger for the drive and take off in a caravan of four from La Penita (just north of Sayulita) through Mazatlan and make it to a secure Pemex in Los Mochas.

Maddie made me tear up and cry again! We lost our Boston Terrier about the same time you lost her. Now our older dog is really struggling. He had knee surgery on both his legs 6or 7 yrs ago. I think he may have a bit of arthritis now lost of strength in those back legs. He doesn't hear and if his sight goes, I don't know how he will do. He's too heavy for us to lift a lot. We are hoping he makes it till Christmas. I hope you do make it back to visit Maddie often!
I think the last rental home we bought was owned by a guy who moved to Sayulita. He loves it there. We have friends that spend the month of Feb in Acapulco every year. Our son vacations in Cabos. Too bad it's too far for us to just drive over to a short stay. Thanks for all the videos. It looks like a great trip!

We love our class A, had gas, now have diesel, makes road travel very relaxing, plus no more bathroom and restaurant stops. Its like being at home but your windows all have changing views.

You're right. Being in Mex for 10 weeks helped a lot. Much time passed before we had to leave her... but it was bitter sweet. We really like that she was laid to rest in Mexico.

Keep Your Daydream, this is probably going to be a real time comment. I loved that tool scene where your friend opened the basement door of his Motor-Home and Carson was just sitting there. The best part was when he said, "Hello". That's the worst part is that all good things must come to an end. That is kind of a luxury because you can just walk 50 feet and get coffee. Very good. Good to have Maddie down there so you have a reason to go back. At 11:45 where were the boys? Another great video! I loved the drone shots!

KYD - I know im behind schedule on this comment. I only discovered you guys in the last month or so but am chucking along through your playlists and am in season two. We are a new family to Rv camping and are still shopping for the right trailer. That's another story. ill get to the point - Our condolences for the loss of Maddie. We have a black lab which is also my partner at work and she is 7 now. They become part of the family and we get emotionally attached. Glad to have gotten to know her through your videos. By now i'm sure you guys have adjusted and again i'm late to the comment board on the subject but non-the-less wanted to give our condolences. … Great videos and I/we are learning a lot as we can relate to you guys family size wise with 3 kids - 2 boys and 1 girl who's the youngest. keep up the great video editing and we look forward to seeing the rest. Jethro B, we are in the same boat as you and your spouse, 2 boys 1 girl younger and bought us a used 1995 Starcraft Pop-up in May. We have decided to buy a T. T. instead too! Love camping and though we have not yet been on a far adventure, we sure want too!! I have got through season 1 & 2. And some of their current season, I think 7. I'm ADDICTED to their channel!!! It's Sunday - Happy Mother's Day, Tricia. I was just thinking of you guys earlier this morning. So glad to see you again. OMG, I'm crying just reading the comments about Maddie. You guys have had the most awesome time in Mexico. I do hope you will return one day, but I got "wind" of Alaska on the horizon. Oh my - one of top places on my never-ending list ;-)) My dad went many years ago. He had an early motor home back in the 70s. I sooo wish I had gone with him at the time. Duet Justus. if u happen to flu in make sure u have immunization documents from from a vet. at the airports you have to show and they actually inspect pup had them feel dog like I had loaded him down with a narcotic( I was flying in not coming from ) haha.
Aww loved this video, I love all of them though 😉 I did tear up again when you visited Maddy, I tried commenting on the special video you guys did honoring her but couldn't. You have my total heartfelt sympathy though. As a pet owner I understand and can relate to that heartache, but the happiness all of our babies brings us I wouldn't trade in a single day without them. We will have a 15 year old kitty and a 10 year old lab this year, I keep telling Daisy our lab that I'm just not ready for this old age stuff yet, but she's already there. She too seems to be dealing with arthritis we are going to have to take her in to our vet to discuss treatment options as soon as we can afford to. For the most part it doesn't really seem to bug her much, it has slowed her down a lot, sort of, we still have puppy moments with her. Our cat Alley is probably going to break lifespan records the way she still runs around like a kitten, I think we should test her dna, she may hold the key to the fountain of youth, lol but yeah at 15 I'm amazed at how she hasn't really slowed down much. Still a lot of spun and attitude in her that's for sure.

I agree with everyone else. You guys had a great dog with Maddie. What a beautiful resting place. Great memories. It has been a tough year for our family and pets. I lost our beloved China but we bought another puppy Thai and he has been a great addition to our home.
Yeah, it's hard to lose pets, but it's worth it in the end.

I somehow missed the fact that Maddy had passed until you said something about "visiting her for one last time." 😥 I'm sorry for your loss though I was not surprised. My own furbaby's body began shutting down just a couple of weeks after her 16th birthday (and she was a smaller dog; larger dogs generally do not live as long). I'm so happy that you were able to have her with you for as long as you did. She was a lovely dog and I have to say that I LOVED it when she came swimming out to y'all in the boat. haha.

Touching moment with Matty and where her earthly remains were placed. As I said before, her spirit lives on. I have the second exact set of 2 golden retrievers. The first, Plaintiff and Lucky, are always with me in spirit and perhaps again in the spirits of the one's I have now. Funny how Father works:) Sort of left us hanging with the "puppies" :)
Have to love the Walmart (PEMEX) stop overs in Mexico and safe too. Looking forward to the rest of the trip back to the USA, especially the border crossing coming from Mexico back into the USA. Oh, and HAPPY MOTHER"S DAY to Tricia!
