Love twice baked! I bake the bacon, too! 🥓🥓🥓 Since I also make potato skins frequently... I'm really quick at removing the middles of my potatoes raw, with my perfectly sized teaspoon metal measuring spoon. Then I deep fry those while I boil my middles for mashed in another day. So, my point is, I also use the same technique for twice bakers! I just bake the skins instead... while I'm boiling my middles. The advantage is not losing any or dealing with hot whole taters! 😊 It works for me, anyways 😉
I brown ground beef, mix a little hidden valley dressing mix with milk & mayo, cheese and mix all together. One side is huge and is an entire meal within itself! Will definitely use your bacon- yum
New viewer here - we have the same knives! Our first batch came w/a filet knife. They've been sharpened so often - over 20 yrs time - that the scalloped edges are now smooth but they are still available online so we replaced a few 'missing' ones and now have scalloped & smooth ones.
My grandma used to always buy twice baked potatoes from the grocery store (she wasn’t much of a cook as she was a heater upper haha) and I remember that being one of my favorite meals from her! After she passed away, I never had one again until about a month ago when I saw them in the grocery store. I didn’t realize they were so easy to make at home. I will now be trying this for sure!
You can use chicken broth instead of dairy in the potatoes, for this or just regular mashed potatoes. May count less than the dairy for the WW. Loving your video’s! Been binge watching you for a few days now! ❤❤❤
Our family loves twice baked potatoes during the holidays. However, we don't cut them in half. We scoop out an oval shaped piece on top and use most of the potato to scoop and refill.
Looks delicious! Totally gonna make this soon! (Maybe even today!) Updated to say: Yup! Today’s the day. My potatoes also had tiny sprouts forming. I got them all scrubbed and into the oven to enjoy Part 1 of their bake-a-thon. 😆 Thanks for the inspiration, Nicole! Sometimes that’s all it takes. (Well, I guess it also takes having the ingredients on hand to make it. Turns out I do!😊)
Very smart! I usually just make frozen hash browns with the extra spuds but I love this idea. I love that I can take one out of the freezer and pop it in my toaster oven. Hope you saved that delicious bacon grease. A warm Onion Bacon Jam topping would be delicious!
I always use one of those cookie cooling racks placed on top of my baking tray in the oven and drape the bacon on the cookie rack so the grease drips down to the pan. That makes me feel like it’s being a little healthier 😂
OMG made these today they are sooooo GOOOOOD!!! I used a whole 10lb bag of potatoes, because I also make things in bulk and feeeze!! Awesome recipe, they are AMAZING!!!
This is an awesome idea! Thanks for sharing how you do this. I use my ricer for my potatos now. 10 years ago my dad tried to make mashed potatoes in the KA and over whipped them and they turned into glue lol
Hello dear love your new channel...just a tip place a towel under your cutting board and it won't slip..keep up the great work...still love flower channel..a d .ove lo e gramps he's so sweetheart and wishing mom fast recovery.
Adding this "recipe" to the list Nicole! I grew up with a mom that made the same 4-5 meals every week, so I became somewhat of a picky eater for a long time, because there were a lot of things I'd never had, that my mom would always say was nasty, & I believed it... But I didn't want that to be the case for my children, so I tried a lot of different foods, (and ended up loving so many of the things that I felt were going to be gross) but then I stopped, and fell into the routine of just making those same things my mom made, that I was familiar with... but for the last couple years I've been trying at least one new recipe a month. & I'm super excited to try this one! Looks delish!
Same. My family loves them. Some things I do differently....rub skin with olive and sprinkle with kosher salt before baking. Cream cheese sour cream mayo is my concoction (no recipe either). Bacon. Chives. Shredded cheese. Crazy good. It's now a batch staple I send with my kids who are away for school.
We often have these on holidays, and they are my favorite way to eat potatoes. So delicious! Never added bacon to ours, but I'm sure it's good that way :)
I really enjoy both of your channels, I happened on to it one day when I saw your Syracuse sweatshirt, and had to check it out. I live in Canastota and plan to drive up to Boonville this summer and stop at your shop.
They're so good! I hope he loves them. I found the fruit pearls at walmart. They have 3 or 4 different flavors and they're the perfect little sweet snack at 70 calories or less per cup. I enjoy them while my family eats ice cream and I don't feel like I am missing out!
This looks yumm!! Absolutely not a common thing here in the Netherlands, definitely going to try this. Stupid question maybe, but how do you go about it when you reheat after freezing? Do you pop them in the oven again? Frozen or thawed? Would love to know!!
Sure! Instructions are at the end of the video and in the description- I reheat them right from the freezer at 425F for 20-25 minutes. I hope you enjoy them! 😄
Those look so yummy! I’m going to do this, it will be so convenient. I love the idea of batch cooking, although it’s amazing that you have enough time to do this! Have you watched Becky from Acre Homestead? She does a lot of freezer meals and batch cooking.
New subscriber. Love the channel. Nurse Judi in Scottsdale AZ and Eucharistic Minister ❤❤❤
I really appreciate you don't obsess with eliminating all the kitchen clutter before you film. It's nice to see a normal house on TH-cam.
Cool! I had them but never made them! We just make baked potatoes and add things while they are not! Yummy 😋🤗🤗🤗

Never thought to big batch like this, great idea!!
Love twice baked! Thank you❤
Such a great plan!!!!! ❤❤❤

Homemade is so much better than what you get in the store. I never really liked the store bought, they didn't seem to have much flavor.
Looks 😋 yummy
Great job, seems yummy 😋
Love it! Thanks Nicole! ❤️
Well, my Pammy made some today. And I get to try some today.
Do you have any plans for new videos for this channel ? Also love the videos !

Thank You For This Amazing Video!!
Weekend project!!! Thank u
I have never made this before but you inspired me!! I'm thinking about doing a Santa fe twist with sweet potatoes, black beans, corn, and salsa! Yumm
Came from your other channel 🎉
I always line the bacon pan with aluminum foil first, makes even less of clean up later 😉
Perfect for a fast lunch on those extra busy days or after school snack. Potatoes are my favorite vegetable.
Thank you for all your hints
Love this side dish, but lots of work for 1 meal. Your prep method will be a game changer! Thank you for sharing❤
Our family loves twice baked potatoes during the holidays. However, we don't cut them in half. We scoop out an oval shaped piece on top and use most of the potato to scoop and refill.
Loving your new channel! Show us more things you can make and freeze, please. Great ideas! Thanks
Me too!
Looks delicious!

@@flowerhillfarmfoodfun I’m very sure we will! Like you say…crowdpleaser! (Well…small crowd. 4 people.🤣)
Fantastic! I’ve made these before but not for YEARS… I forgot about them. I’ve been in a bit of a meal ‘rut’ lately, Thanks for the inspiration!
Just made this! It's a hit!!
Ive been cooking bacon in the oven for years as well it is wonderful the bacon comes out better than a frying pan!
I made a big batch of these a couple of days ago. They’re fabulous and I’m so happy to have a stash in the freezer! Thanks for sharing your recipe!
Very smart! I usually just make frozen hash browns with the extra spuds but I love this idea. I love that I can take one out of the freezer and pop it in my toaster oven. Hope you saved that delicious bacon grease. A warm Onion Bacon Jam topping would be delicious!
Baked bacon is the only way to go! I learned to use a sheet of aluminum foil on the rimmed baking sheet for easier cleanup.
Love it! I stopped using aluminum foil because it always leaked somewhere 😂
@@flowerhillfarmfoodfun , agree, only heavy duty foil works.
I use foil also, even if it leaks a bit it is still easier to clean up.
I always use one of those cookie cooling racks placed on top of my baking tray in the oven and drape the bacon on the cookie rack so the grease drips down to the pan. That makes me feel like it’s being a little healthier 😂

Yum! Never thought of making a big batch - thanks
YUM!!! Definetly doing this!!!! Thanks!!! 🤤
OMG made these today they are sooooo GOOOOOD!!! I used a whole 10lb bag of potatoes, because I also make things in bulk and feeeze!!
Awesome recipe, they are AMAZING!!!
Twice baked potatoes are THE BEST
I've always bought them from the butcher shop but wow if you can stick em in the freezer, I'm in!
Great idea! Never thought of baking up a bunch. Thanks for sharing!!
I haven’t made these in years-thanks for reminding me. I’m always looking for side dish ideas. 😊
Oh thanks for this Nicole, will definately freeze some!
My family will never eat only half a potato each lol!!! Great idea though 💡
LOL That's the beauty of tray freezing! You can take out as many as you need!
Do you have any plans to do more videos on this channel ? Also love the content ❤🎉
Thanks Nicole
I'm so going to try these, I love potatoes 🥔 (living in Ireland, it's a stable part of our diet), they look delicious
This is an awesome idea! Thanks for sharing how you do this. I use my ricer for my potatos now. 10 years ago my dad tried to make mashed potatoes in the KA and over whipped them and they turned into glue lol

Someone else said the same thing! I just got those ones and haven’t really used them yet. I’m used to thick heavy ones. Will try the towel 👍
I am making this recipe right this very second! Thank you for the inspiration and cravings that this video gave me 😁
Going on my rotation~!

Scallions would be great with them too!!!! :) Thanks for sharing Nicole!
Yes! I mention at the end we top ours with chives 😍😍 So good!
Good idea. i planted my last 4 potatoes that had sprouted and they're loving life in a big planter in my mudroom.
I've never made these, and now thanks to you I will be making and freezing them for an easy side! Thanks so much!
That would be a yummy lunch!
Looks delicious! Your mash will be a lot fluffier if You dont process it in a mixer, it makes the potatoes like glue, just use a spoon and mix
These look delicious and you have such self control!!! It looks like you and WW are a good team. Keep up the good work! (Been there, done that)😉
Yum!! I'm hungry now!!
Great recipe. How do you reheat them?
Same. My family loves them. Some things I do differently....rub skin with olive and sprinkle with kosher salt before baking. Cream cheese sour cream mayo is my concoction (no recipe either). Bacon. I look forward to meeting you! 😄
Can’t wait to freeze up a batch!
So good!
I’ve been experimenting using my air fryer, how do you think it would work for this recipe instead of conventional oven?
Random question...what software do you use to edit your videos? Thanks!
Bacon in the oven is even less messy if you use parchment paper. :)
It always leaks for me. I’ve tried it dozens of times. I find it’s a waste of paper and I still end up with a tray to clean 🧼
@@flowerhillfarmfoodfun well that is a shame. Thanks for sharing your recipe. I can't wait to try them!
Put a wet dish rag underneath your cutting board, it won't move around on you.😊
Nice! These are new bamboo cutting boards I got for Christmas and I’ve only used them a handful of times- I’ll try that out!
Yum
p.s. ... parchment paper is your friend .... such easy clean up for bacon :)
I use it for many things but not bacon. I found anything I used for bacon leaks and I end up with a dirty tray and wasted paper 📄 I stopped trying 😂
If you put a wet towel under the cutting board it won't slide.
Stick A parking knife in potato for doneness , foil pan to cook bacon,
Love these for my Irish ☘️ hubby!! Tysm. Love the prep idea for sure. Where do you get the fruit pearls btw? Yummmm
They're so good! I hope he loves them. I found the fruit pearls at walmart. They have 3 or 4 different flavors and they're the perfect little sweet snack at 70 calories or less per cup. I enjoy them while my family eats ice cream and I don't feel like I am missing out!
Приветик с канала силент 💐💐💐
Yum 😋
I love twice baked potatoes. I add much more sour cream, cheese and bacon. I mean that’s the point right? Probably why your thin and I am not!
Don’t your patatoes in to glue when you mash them in the machine? I was always told not to mach patatoesin a machine!
How many WW points is that? They look so good.
I calculated 3-5 points depending on the size of the potato!
This looks yumm!! Absolutely not a common thing here in the Netherlands, definitely going to try this. Stupid question maybe, but how do you go about it when you reheat after freezing? Do you pop them in the oven again? Frozen or thawed? Would love to know!!

Roflmbo!! Nicole. I'll eat a whole pound of bacon myself.
I've been doing my bacon in the oven too because of the greasy mess. Bonny
Those look so yummy! I’m going to do this, it will be so convenient. I love the idea of batch cooking, although it’s amazing that you have enough time to do this! Have you watched Becky from Acre Homestead? She does a lot of freezer meals and batch cooking.
Yes! Becky and I are buddies. I don’t watch much TH-cam (no time) but we chat
Love twice baked potatoes! Nicole, you look like you lost weight. Are you still doing WW?
Yes! I’m still on program 😄
You look fantastic!
I'm going to make these with my vegetarian bacon. Also, your diet must be working because you are looking skinny, girl!
Just a tad bit too much hand & arm motions there girl.
Me? Never!
