    16:24 - I start talking about their sound. Then stop.. They have excellent soundstage. Warm milky bass. Decent imaging. A very clear upper midrange and with pad swap crisp treble. Doesn't hurt except for songs that have pain built in. I really like these.

      Gaming Grade probability means low latency. (important in special on wireless)

    • @Skylancer727
      @Skylancer727 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it doesn't have a delay in audio it is likely using either 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz wifi. Have that on my Sony HW700 virtual suround headphones which support both frequencies. 2.4Ghz has a huge amount of bandwidth and is incredibly fast so you won't be able to notice any delay.

    A couple of other things to note:
    1. The windows software literally tells you the battery life, and that's it.
    2. The make a sound when turning on/off, and when muting/unmuting the mic.
    3. They often go on sale for $90 or less, which is kind of insane.
    4. They are little heavy because they have 30 hours + of battery life...

      Probably because they’re just reading off a script, and just repeating everything that is already said on the website, instead of their honest opinion (a lot of the time, I know some who don’t). Z reviews isn’t really reading off a script or anything, he’s just a dude who likes audio who’s gonna tell you what he thinks about these headphones, which is why I like watching his reviews, even if I’m not planning on buying what he’s reviewing, just for entertainment.

    Never thought I’d see the day. Upgraded from Corsair HS70s to MH752s through a Fulla 3. If I didn’t give the HS70s to my wife, I’d probably still use the Corsair headset every now and then. Freedom to walk around the house and still talk on Discord, or to not mess around with extra cables when using VR... there are definitely things I miss that I’d compromise sound quality for. Maybe these would be a nice upgrade, the HS70s are a similar era, I’m curious about comparing them.

Sure phillips could make them, but if anyone else went to them with that suggestion they'd just laugh at them and say who the fuck are you. Hey, got a set of those... After using quite a few wireless headsets, that's my favorite. They don't sound great IMO, but good enough. As for the rest, they're ticking all the boxes. Range, comfortable on or off, durability, all day capacity (REALLY all day, 20H+), recharges quickly, no surround sound (always horrible oin headsets, and works 1/2 the time anyway), no interference with my logitech wireless mouse. Just a good workhorse. Volume wheel is too sensitive, microphone mute isn't tied to the windows stuff, so hard to tell when you've muted. Works great for games, discord,
    Basically, fairly average all round, but no real flaws and straight forward.

    Bought a pair and the brainwavz pads with it because of this video. First time I'm putting custom pads on a headphone - as you can tell I'm by no means an audiophile. They're good, my only complaint is the wireless tends to cut off when there's anything between me and the computer. Even an innocuous doorsill, it seems. Not that big of a deal though, go get them if you're on the fence.

    Yo Z Reviews, the only problem with these headphones outside of audio quality is an additional part of the build; the tiny plastic rod that links the ear cup to headband for twisting will break the fastener on the ear cup side over time. Lastly, the volume wheel wears within less than a year. So personally, since my set broke so easily, I would not recommend them. It's a shame since I can actually do some minor mixing or mastering with them.

  • @Tomato-2
    @Tomato-2 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    also note, I have had these for over a year and the crispness of the volume wheel does fade after time, mine is really smooth now, which is actually kind of a negative thing because it makes it a little *too* easy to overturn. But I love them all the same and it really doesn't bother me that much, the overall utility of them far outweighs that small inconvenience.

    This headphones does have an issue with sibilance (I play drums and rock music's cymbals kinda hurt...) and you can reduce that a bit by adding earpad foam (same earpad foam zeos showed on his ATH M40X review) and it is best if you change the pads (bought the same pad he showed here but red)

    It's amazing how difficult it is to get a definitive answer as to how these wireless 2.4 Ghz headsets work. I had a terrible pair about 20 years ago that clearly cast an analogue signal that gradually faded the further you were from the base station. These cut out immediately, like a Bluetooth headset. I still don't know whether these operate the old way (cast from music system, using the system's DAC, etc) or like a BT headset (data transmitted to headset, decoded from headset DAC, etc.).
    What I did find out is that when I plug the USB dongle into my Hiby DAP (using a USB C adaptor) they work perfectly. Does this mean that they are decoding from a headset DAC? I'm too uninformed to work it out!

Obviously they are not audiophile grade, but still i use them to this day for work calls and for movies or games. The only real complain about them is the same zeos had about the flight.. the cable is horrible. It’s still retains some tangles and is not perfectly straight after years and is way too fragile and thin. But audio quality was surprising for a gaming headphone at that price point when they came out and build quality(cable escluder) is excellent(always considering the price)

    I know it probably doesn't matter, as these obviously sound great, but are these capable of playing hi-res audio files at native resolution? I know the wireless signal could easily carry it, but presumably the DAC is in the headset or the dongle.....

    I'm gonna wait for the cooler master MH670 review then I'll decide between the two but I can't believe that you actually found this to actually be really good.

    Thanks again for an extremely well made review of gaming headphone 🙌 Is there any way or place i can ask a very specific niche question regarding sound for gaming? I never get a straight answer when i ask my local hi-fi shops.

    hey man ive been getting drawn into ur video cause ive been looking into finally getting a new headset/headphones for gaming and you do a great job and tell it like it is great videos. Felt like coming to the most recent video to see if I can get some advice. Im a noob with headphones so go easy on me lol. Can you or any of your followers recommend me something that would be good for long hours of wearing? I currently have the Razer Kraken V2 and after about 3-4 hours i can really feel the insides of the cups and can start feeling a headache, idk if this might just be a personal thing too from having headphones on for that long? But my main thing in looking for a a new headset is comfort and how long that comfort lasts(i got big ass wide ears). Brand, "purpose", colour etc. doesnt matter comfort, comfort, comfort is most important, dont wanna break the bank hoping to spend around or under $150CAD, thanks in advance and keep up the great vids!

    I got these and returned them cause I thought they sounded terrible compared to the cloud alphas, maybe I needed to disabled those things🤷‍♀️ but now I'm happy with my hd58x

    By how mutch you praise these you get me to almost regret getting the dt990 pros + e10k and a usb mic (as a upgrade over the cloud 2) over something like these cloud flights.

      Also many German hardware channels praise lioncast headsets (mostly for their microphones) if you can get them you should try them.

    I am waiting for a Flight S review. They have interesting new features, but also controversy around how they sound compared to these older ones.

    • @EdvinLu
      @EdvinLu 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Damn! I thought these were a "S" review haha. Would live Zeos to review the new ones though. You might have just saved me. I was about to decide that I'm ordering the "Flight S"s in the morning. Didn't know there's something wrong with them?

    • @MMOEarth
      @MMOEarth 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@EdvinLu They seem to have a different sound signature, with a more orthodox frequency response, like they are V shaped similarly to these, but have spikes in the mids making them W shaped? This is all anecdotal. They are supposed to have better drivers, so I am not sure what's going on. People are also reporting much more white sounds when connected, but take this with grain of salt. There aren't many reviews on them that are going in-depth and I know that the original Flight is reported to also have white noise. Check Reddit for more info, I also think HyperX have their own subreddit.

    • @EdvinLu
      @EdvinLu 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MMOEarth Thanks for the detailed answer ^^. I actually just came out the store with a pair of HyperX Flight Ss :). I just got tired of researching all the different options and knowing how I enjoyed HyperX's comfort with previous headphones I just opted for that. I realized I value comfort a lot more than sound and mic quality, not to mention the bells and whistles.
