Victor....i got a couple of semi dead lifters in my 95 sl500...with lower miles. Engine is like brand new inside but get intermittent ticking from a few rear lifters mainly on cold start or hot idle. Running 15w50.
Im going to replace all the lifters but was wondering how difficult it is to just take the cams out without removing the chain completely.
    Thank you

nice video)Just a little "fun fact"...the overflow tank on the water pump..was designed to prevent an eventual waterpump leak to go straight on to the serpentine belt..and doing more "damage" as coolant on the serpentine belt would not be a good thing.A good example of the socalled "overengineering " of these lovely cars /engines :)Anyways..lovely video.Greetings from Norway,Stefan :)

If you have it all opened up, do everything you can, just as you are doing. It would be insane to leave something undone that needs to be done a few years down the road. Hell, even five years down the road.

Matt Stevens yeah, I'm changing all I can. Its not up to me what I replace. Some customers do not want to invest extra money but this customer agreed on doing the job right.

Oh, man, when I was watching the previous part of this, I was anticipating you show how do you remove the balanser, couse I understood where it was going. But you didn`t. Maaan, it would be so great. I just spent 2 hours trying to remove it with no luck, that mzfk is so stuck there. Any secret tools you using on this?

they can be properly stuck on there.I covered this in one of my videos. Not the excact work..but i show and explain how i did it on my car.I struggled for almost 6 hours to get mine off..but i made it in the end :)Greetings from Norway ,Stefan :)

Yeah, I did watched your video as well, when to the garage, and after some 30 minutes the balanser was on the bench. really happy about this. I just had to be really careful not to damage it too much, cause it can create unnecessary vibrations, if you chip some peaces off it.
