All right, I think I figured out why I love Juggz so much. It's just so natural. There are three good friends, they're all naturally funny, and they're just chewing the fat. It almost feels like I'm listening to my own friends chatting. No agenda, just the bants.
Yes! This was the vibe I got from Painting Phase when Peach was there and that I now get here. I finally understand what people mean by”parasocial relationships “
God. Rob was just trying to talk about his chaos dwarves and Louise was just in there being disgusting and talking about his “big hat”. This is why it’s such a hard time for guys in the hobby!
Rob, let me tell you this… you have NEVER seen engineering of a model kit as genius as a big Gundam. How they manage to design these things to fit together and be entirely articulated without anything other than push fit is absolutely mind boggling. It’s a sweet science
The deep lore less than 10 minutes in is; Peachy secretly works for the Schola Progenium based on his Orphan army building - sounds even worse when you say treat em mean, keep em keen. Louise struggled to say McCullough Rob is still the adult and we're nearly 10 episodes in. absolute scenes at Juggz HQ.
"How have you never heard the phrase 'treat them mean, keep them keen' what sort of guys have you been hanging out with for the last 20 odd years?" "Guys who paint miniature figures" ".......yeah ok that makes sense"
I run a wargaming club for kids with ASD at my school and they really appreciate the plastic ring objective markers as they remove an element of ambiguity from the game.
I hope any of you get to see this: Osprey Games makes a ruleset called Gamma Wolves that is miniature-agnostic and you can absolutely use Gundam Plastic Models (Gunpla) for it Edit: also the God Hand nippers use one sharp blade and one flat one so that you don't stress the plastic by pinching the sprues
Gamma Wolves seems to be pretty well regarded; you use a points system to build a mech's abilities so it's pretty flexible and actually playing seems pretty straight forward. The guy over at Millennial Model Mayhem spent a good while making up two squads of kitbashed gunpla and then had them battle it out. He's now doing some really nice work with the recent G-Witch kits. The Aerial custom he recently did some months back is worth a look in particular. th-cam.com/video/CG4wXZ_eybM/w-d-xo.html
For Peachy, the Battlesystems terrain doesn't come with coloured edges by default, but most peeps use felt marker pens to colour the rims. Takes a while but makes one hell of a difference to the final look
Following your interest in frostgrave and silver bayonet - have a look at “Deth Wizards” (yes deth not death) the new game from the guys at Snarling Badger - another indie skirmish game - playable with frostgrave minis /silver bayonet baddies (at least I do) - very fun. YOU are the evil necromancers laying waste to villages. Very fun game.
I love watching content from people who love what they are doing, so I hope the algorithm rewards the Lego video and Peachy exploring cool indie games.
Bandai has some serious engineering skill. I remember marveling at the multi-color sprues like 20 years ago. The way the assembly is engineered, and Peach is so right about the instructions. Amazing how easy they are to follow with not one word of English on them. I am all for a bit of cross-over between minis and gunpla. Especially since I am a model builder who only dabbles in minis.
Ah you guys are so great together! Please don’t ever change , watching Robs expression as things get derailed and forcing himself to accept it is brilliant, you guys put a big smile on my face and a chuckle in my belly thanks so much!
Sounds weird but I play each episode twice! The first time round I’ll play it a bit like a podcast with my head down painting my stuff! Then a second time I’ll actually watch it in the evening! Double the Juggz 😅
This is the best juggz I have ever seen! Love you chatting about smaller games. I have started preparing Frostgrave after seeing Peachys video, so thanks for sharing your excitement!
It was nice to bump into you at comicon, Peachy. (I was one of the people dressed as Catachans). Looking forward to seeing yours and Louise's falling into the Gunpla-crack world :D
I build all my models in a metal tray in bed! How else does one do it. lol. Best episode yet. You guys are getting a balance of taking the spotlight vs. listening. I would imagine that’s the hardest part of turning conversation into a spectator event. I followed Mr. Peach to the show, but now a big fan of all three of you.
We definitely need the resellers, they’re the people with the cool odd stuff that wouldn’t be there otherwise and it’s a bit cheaper! Win win in my book
Glad to see some juggz again after such a break. watching Peachy and Louise hit the Gundam ice berg was a lot of fun and I am waiting to see this become a gundam fan podcast.
Fricking goddam loving these juggz to the absolute max, they fill me up and leave me feeling wholesome and very contented. Leg ends the absolute three of you. This was what I needed to discover on You tube to keep my subscription, and time will tell, the patron is looking very tempting. ❤❤
I love that Peachy is like, they have these 30 minute badass knights and the waifus and I can kit bash them together. Wait until he learns that they all use the same 30mm sized input connectors because they are specifically designed so you can do that.
I've started working with my 5 year old on playing games and how to handle winning and losing. When we're playing I tell her that "winning is the goal, but it isn't the point." And boy is that the last thing she wants to hear.
I am always mind blown how in one language something can be said , and maybe even it makes sense, and different one the sentance is not only illogical , but because of point and goal being the same word, the child reaction makes 100% sense in my mind :)
Good man Peachy .. our mob down here in Sth Australia have been belting Frostgrave for a few yrs now. Great to use whatever miniatures we like .. cheers 😃👍
I played a "Legomunda" campagin with 3 friends of mine in 2006/07. it was a blast. Terrain was easy and we never had a problem with weapon changes on gangers :) i remeber that we even put them on 4x4 bases, which also was our agreed upon inch. If you flip the upper body of a minifig you have a nice palgue zombie. Those where the days.
The model making and gunpla scene in Japan is insane, the hobby shops there are next level with so much choice for tools, scenics and materials. There's a massive second hand market for spare gunpla sprues and a lot of 3rd party parts which are compatible so there's so much scope for conversion and kitbashing. Also so many custom transfers, you can buy entire sheets of anime girl eye transfers if you want a household of uwu knights...
Still stuck on the little battlegame idea I got stuck on at last Jugz or the ones before it: What if, hear me out, Battletech-level customizeable skirmish game, but it's Dinoriders themed. Dinosaurs as battletanks shooting lasers at each other. 😎
You guys are great! It's a definitely been one of the highlights of this past week. Speaking of AoS; when I went to Warhammer World yesterday I was talking to some of the really friendly staff and one chap hinted that the new releases should be starting to come out over the next 2 to 3 weeks. When I saw the minis on the teaser video I wasn't so keen but seeing some of the new Stormcast in person I'm looking forward to painting the new sculpts. Keep up the great work guys!
If Louise does a Sister of battle cosplay, can we PLEASE get a peachy the preachy following with a big Book and just a tea kettle on a stick (like some cawdor flamethibg, but tea)
It’s actually pretty interesting seeing you guys get a but into the Gunpla side of things. I started my plastic model hobby there before moving to Warhammer, so I use learned to use tools and techniques that transferred like that. Looking at the way some wargame hobbyists do things really makes me wonder why more of them don’t adopt techniques from Gunpla and vice versa. The panel liner, for instance, is a game changer. Tamiya thin cement is another, and it makes the easiest to use sprue goo. GW could improve a lot about their manufacturing processes from Bandai. Now if only we could get imperial knights engineered like Bandai does it…
If you want to watch any Gundam I'd recommend Iron Blooded Orphans - your conversation about abandoned children getting recruited by military orders accidentally stumbled on the background of the whole series!
The whole separation between the overall scene and the Warhammer scene I feel keenly in my bones. I love when I see a Tau battlesuit tutorial (which is clearly based on mecha) and people are like basecoat/wash/layer when there's literally a ton of excellent products for panel lining and whatnot.
I was afraid the weekly siren wasn't going to be there. An hour and 28 minutes in, sure enough there it is. All is right in the world! Great episode as always crew!
Poor Mr Peach. Your first time in a push button car is quite an experience. 😂 My first time with a push button handbrake was stopping going up a steep incline, with cars behind me. That was fun. 🤦♂️

Would Buy due to the struggle.
And make it the same size as a sports direct mug!
I also want one, pretty please😊
This. Please!
Would be great if part of proceeds went to a DEI charity.
Well done to peachy for cracking the algo with his frostgrave video!!! Glad to see you’re getting the recognition for your awesome videos!!

I like the idea of using Lego for skirmish games, but it's weirdly not much cheaper than normal minitures.
Ha! yeah your not wrong there, its certainly got more costly over the last few years
Lego seems to hold its value very very well at the moment and only get more valuable 😅 I’d argue it’s getting more expensive than warhammer!
