6-7 years is a long time. But a Ryzen 4800H with 1660Ti on the A17 should last good years for sure. Just make absolutely sure you but with extended warranty. But be aware it's a heavy laptop.

The legion one has a better GPU, RTX 2060. But the Tuf 17 has a better cpu overall. But if your purpose is more for games and less for work, then yeah go with the aforementioned Legion. Otherwise if it's balanced or less gaming then definitely save up the $400.

I have a huge problem with my A17. My Touchpad is lagging every 5 minutes. (Random clicking and random jumping) When i right click it fixes it, but have to right click a second time for windows to register it. Any solutions? Go with A17. It is a better performer than the HP omen 4600H variant. It might feel hotter than the HP variant but that means the 4600H chip on it is being pushed to its max limits.

i have the latest much more powerful version of this laptop its now got a ryzen 6800 series chip, it originally had a 512gb drive but my technician cousin threw in a couple of 1tb SSDs, its got 4800hz 16gb ram DDR5, and a RTX 3070 8gb card its still pretty light or maybe im just strong haha its nice a quiet with its dual 84 blade fans and a pretty meaty section of heat pipes still pretty nice in terms of the cooling layout underneath it i did buy a 4 fan spacer cooler to go with it though as i intend to run a fair few games on it but so far it is eating up everything im throwing at it

I have a huge problem with my A17.
My Touchpad is lagging every 5 minutes. (Random clicking and random jumping)
When i right click it fixes it, but have to right click a second time for windows to register it.
Any solutions? Had it send in and they said theres nothing wrong.
Tried Windows Driver and Asus Drivers.
Be persistent with them and get the touchpad replaced. Record couple of videos before raising a complaint next time. Also buy extended warranty.

Go with A17. It is a better performer than the HP omen 4600H variant. It might feel hotter than the HP variant but that means the 4600H chip on it is being pushed to its max limits.

If you want laptop just for coding buy a laptop without dedicated graphics that will costs less. Or if you do extra rendering or editing work with that go for gaming laptops but that demands some extra costs.

Bro please help me I have the same Laptop but I am not getting fps at any games I have watch dog 2 and Gta 5 in watch dog 2 I am only getting around 40 fps at ultra setting and in gta 5 I am getting only 70 to 80 at very high setting with terrible problem of anti-alising (AA) please bro tell me do you also have the same problem

i have the latest much more powerful version of this laptop its now got a ryzen 6800 series chip, it originally had a 512gb drive but my technician cousin threw in a couple of 1tb SSDs, its got 4800hz 16gb ram DDR5, and a RTX 3070 8gb card its still pretty light or maybe im just strong haha its nice a quiet with its dual 84 blade fans and a pretty meaty section of heat pipes still pretty nice in terms of the cooling layout underneath it i did buy a 4 fan spacer cooler to go with it though as i intend to run a fair few games on it but so far it is eating up everything im throwing at it
