Thank you for your tutorial...you make it very easy to follow along. Years ago I used the same purple yarn, along with the Mint & Soft Blue with the White as my background, to create my granny squares. The brand is BERNAT Baby Coordinates. The purple is called Soft Mauve. I believe I purchased them at JoAnns in S. Florida, USA. I hope this helps you find more if needed.

I remember Kresges store fondly as a child in the 70's my Daddy often took me there Saturdays for a milkshake at their cafe counter sitting on stools while he had his coffee & pie❤

I have all the quarter sizes to 4.0 then half sizes from there. One of these days I will get them all but hubby might be a bit upset if I get yet another set of hooks 🤣🤣

I bought two bags of this yarn second-hand at least two to three years ago, but didn't have any use for it at the time. It included a lot of yellow, pink, blue and gray, plus one partial ball each of green and purple. It is Eaton's Crystals yarn and I was able to make a cardigan, hat, booties and blanket out of just the blue yarn as I am blessed to have a third grandson due for arrival at the beginning of August. I'd include a picture of the yarn, but I don't know how to do it here...or even if it's possible here.
Yellow and purple are across the color wheel from each other, which makes them complimentary. I love this pattern!
I completed an entire blanket on the beach. They were 15 inch complicated squares but perfect for one a day on the beach.❤
