    • @chrisgregory4796
      @chrisgregory4796 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Probably not the case for big fleet sellers, but individuals and smaller outlets seem to see Grays as the place to dump vehicles with expensive to fix or weird problems that they don't want discovered on a test drive. Some seem to hope a silly buyer will buy it off the pictures using a lucky dip mindset.

    • @matthewgleeson2121

      When I was looking for a ute late year, everything I saw at Greys was totally shit. Of course they aren't the only ones selling lemons and different yards varied in the dodgyness of their offerings. The key in the end was to have a set criteria of exactly what you wanted - make, model, price, mileage, spec, etc - and stick to it with little compromise. This obviously then involved lots of patience and looking and looking and looking all across the region.

    I brought an N70 just the other day and the fact that the back seat doesn’t fold down and it didn’t have an anchor point for my sons car seat was a bit leg down

    • @bennettw4300

      Just wait till the injectors shit themselves and melt a piston if you think an anchor points a problem. Or the oil pump blocks up from the leaking injector seals.
      Keep saving your money bud, you'll need it.

    Hmmm, good review. But be honest, N80 hilux was never a mildly serious offroad vehicle. They're great daily, or highway vehicles, but compared to 90s and 2000s live axle vehicles they are barely capable without tens of thousands of after market parts, just to get them on par with the older vehicles.

    As a previous owner of the 2023 rogue I was honestly appalled after waiting 6 months then getting the ute and it being still super outdated and no different to the rest I sold it after four months making a one thousand dollar profit. Hope the next gen is better and to be honest more affordable...

    always enjoy watching and i find these "buying car tip" videos useful. I have a question, the 2nd hand market has changed over the past couple years making it hard for someone young to find a 4by worth buying. Either you buy one that's much older with high KM's or try get a loan. I'm probably going to get a bt-50 2010ish since you can get them for 15k, i've heard they're good utes but id be wary to go on any long trips.
    what would you recommend in my situation?
    Love the show, hopefully shauno or one of the boys will read this

      Make sure you research the engine in the rig on forum pages on the internet or through social media pages. Also, if the rig is well looked after then it is highly likely the car is in immaculate running condition. Always check log books, thats a bonus to finding out about how well it's looked after!

      An Aussie saying that everything Toyota is just a bit more expensive than similar type of vehicles from other manufacturers. It isn't an actual government type of tax.
