- The devs over and Rolve hit me up and asked me to show off just how much roblox's tf2 " typical colors 2 " game mode has evolved since i last played it on the channel. And i was very impressed at all of the new weapons, modes, unboxing, unusuals and more they've added. If you wanna see more, let me know!

a quick update: rolve and typical colors 2 are no longer the same thing. rolve has moved on to other projects and tc2 will be deved by its own personal team of devs who will specifically focus upon it

At least their team is able to let them do that. There’s probably a ton of team fortress two fans a valve that valve just doesn’t work on the game.

Sadly because Aunarky left for confidential reasons, Typical Colors 2 is not a part of ROLVe anymore. Meaning it does not use ROLVEs's budget anymore which means the updates will be smaller and slower for the time being

@@lazyowl9616 yeah...I'm pretty sure tf2 isn't a major part of Valves profit so tf2 is probably going to have a very slow and painful death. (A lot of OGs are leaving tf2 because it is getting boring with no new stuff, and only like new players are coming in which is also just boring and new players will probably stop playing after 10s of hours... especially if they don't discover community servers)
Btw as someone who is actually into the trading economy of TC2 I will say that the unique stainless pot you got from that crate is one of a kind lol
Its Not really a 1 of a Kind , ITS Just a 1 in 6000 before IT was retired from being unboxed
@@otmanbudunt6992 It is one of a kind in TC2, the stainless pot could have only been gotten in unusual quality, and then later down the road it got added to the drop system as strange. There is no way to get a unique version other then the All-Encompassing Crate which is can only be given to players by a developer

As someone who has played Tc2 for almost 3 years and have played tf2 for 450+ hours. Tc2 is not the worst out of the tf2 clones. There have been way worse. The main problem is that it lags often. Don't blame ROLVe that's just Roblox in a nutshell or you just don't have a good pc to help with it. 2. Yes some of the voice lines are a bit questionable. Mechanic and Arsonist. ( Although Arsonist is cannonly a robot so ofc he's gonna sounds trash. ) And Mechanic is from one of the ROLVe dev's Mightybaseplate. But most of the others did an alright or passible job. And the community is like tf2's so don't get mad at tc2's community for being "Toxic" Almost every community is gonna be toxic. Not just tc2. And giving the game life is what we want for tf2. Tc2 is being supported for it's Dev's who don't wanna cash out on the game. They made the game for passion and love because of tf2. And them actually trying to make the game better and better. It's sad to see that the people who made tf2 don't care about their community or left the game in a horrible state. Tc2 is not a better version of tf2. But it's a note that people still care about tf2. And an alt reality where the game still got updates.
I’ll be honest I played the game for months never met a single toxic person. There have been kind of rude people but never toxic. Just annoying.

I'll just take a moment to appreciate this homage to one of the greatest games ever made
As a currently tf2 player with a good amount of hours and previously TC2 player, tc2 is not even close to being as good as the TF2 multiple problems contribute to this such as: bad weapon balancing and class balancing, awful hit registration that benefits player higher the ping, MASSIVE hitboxes that are around 2-3x as big compared to TF2 which basically invalidates high skill celling and makes it low on ALL classes, sense of unusual being hmmm, unusual just non existent also applies to gold weapons, game objectively looks worse than tf2 on spy config and im not even mentioning amount of official maps and community servers with plugins in terms of content. If anyone wants me to go more in depth on one of the topics, please ask, I played this game for longer than I should've.
I’d love to discuss with you further man! Obviously i was with the Devs in this video so it was probably incredibly bias. I just thought from a neutral standpoint it was cool to have a group of developers who are genuinely making an effort to improve the game and add new content so i figured i’d give it a try. Would love to discuss with you further though as i think it’s very important to hear the perspective from a player who has no real involvement or gain in the game!
Do you have any specific examples for each point? I understand the issues of ping due to the mediocrity of Roblox's servers & the massive hitboxes with the blocky aesthetic, but I wouldn't say that all the classes are unbalanced with low skill ceilings (aside from Marksman). Lower than TF2 for sure, but not seriously low. As for weapons, aside from a few that definitely could use nerfs or reworks (mainly looking at the Irish Guard, Kunai, & Gutbuster), I think that most of the weapons are solid to play with and against, if not somewhat underwhelming with just a few buffs to make them usable again (The Slow Burn sapper for example would be much better if it highlighted buildings to incentive players to target them w/o much coordination).
I still play TC2 avidly, so I'd like to know your thought process.

The main thing that TC2 suffers from is how bad the movement is. It just doesn't quite have that satisfaction that TF2 has, especially rocket jumping.
POV: play tc2 more than 50 hours and i play more than 50 hours so i agree with that

Typical Colors 2 is actually really good, I enjoy it. Not to mention they always are adding new items, weapons and cosmetics.

4:11 iirc, Flood Escape 2 does something similar, allowing players to create maps to be played in FE2CM (Flood Escape 2 Custom Maps) and potentially be feature in the main game as highlights

yo you should check out era warfare to its like tf2 but the classes are all mixed together, really fun game you should check it out!
The only thing I hate about tc2 is that they have special cosmetics only devs can use and one of the cosmetics is called "team fortress" which makes a tc2 character into a TF2 character.
The only reason why I hate it is because I see people play with that cosmetic and it grinds my gears cuz no one else can use that cosmetic except devs and contributors and that's just feels like favoritism.
To put it simple it feels like we are the lower class,
the people who get special items in tc2 are the middle class (like I watched someone play with an actual scattergun from TF2 in tc2 and he said he got it from a dev),
And the devs are the upper class(they make all the rules)
if those were public cosmetics it would be weird. the team fortress cosmetics is MADE for devs and contributors. and its not favouritism IF THEY LITERALLY WORK FOR THE GAME

I have spent a good amount of hours and could say both have pros and cons. Tc2 having the perk of being more active updates and balanced. But you would lag more often. Also trickstabbing has never been more easier. But user generated content gets rarer and less flavourful maps. THe Voice Acting is strictly worse though. Overall,im neutral on it.
the voice acting is actually pretty good, tho most people just think its bad cause they expect it to be tf2 quality or just expect the mercs to be straight up copy pasted tf2 mercs

Tc2 has its own charm and tf2 also has its own charm which is why some people prefer tc2
