I just want to thank you and ed, for the install of the hood struts, I ordered the same one from Amazon for my 2024 Canyon Denali and installed them yesterday, and absolutely loved them on the pickup truck. Thanks again
Amazing, what you can find on Amazon! I just purchased a hose for my shower head and received it the following day. If I would have ordered it from the manufacturer, I might receive it in 2 weeks.
Put a set of these on that I got from Redlinetuning,,,more expensive than the ones you used but they have 2 choices that come w/4 or 5 year warranty....having these struts is a definite accessry the truck should have
@ToddCotta mine(2024 colorado zr2) has been replaced and has slipped down off the windshield again. I walked the lot at my local dealer and found trucks on the lot with the same issue. That cowl and the 2 corner pieces need to be redesigned
I’ve watched other videos on these hood struts, when you shut the hood it seemed like the struts were in a bind and didn’t close as smoothly as other brand Colorado hood struts!
During the cut away when you talk about using the magnet, did you also swap the brackets on the hood from left to right? It looked like the hood bracket ball was pointing in, then after the break when you were installing the struts the ball pointed out.
It is cool to see how closely you were watching. Yeah, we are a couple of shade tree tinker guys. But we were going too fast and messed up both sides. I didn't mind at all. Have a great Sunday!
The Denali Canyon is nice but It all depends on what you need a truck for. If you want to park easier and have a great run around vehicle, Canyon. If you need more back seat space and larger bed, the stay with the Sierra. Back seat space in the Canyon is disappointing at best.
Trading in 2020 F 150 like new 30k miles for canyon Denali 24’ my order is in . Downsizing. Don’t need the big bed or the back seated . I do love how the F150 drives . Just hope I’m not too much hooked on the big truck . Oh well too late , I’ll let you k ow after it comes in how I feel 😮

Amazon is either the best or worst thing. For the small retailer, bad, for the customer good. But it is definitely convenient and cheaper.

Redline Tuning makes some great products, I'll have to check those out.
i got them both and love them thanks i hate using a rod to hold up my hood on a 50 thousand dollar truck

Does it pop the cowl corners and slip the cowl off the windshield since it opens the hood 'too much'
It barely touched it. It could be cut, but it works just fine. Never had a problem with it.

I actually installed the right side bracket backwards... I fixed it a day later and it is very good now. Thanks for watching!

Yes we had to flip the brackets because we made an error and installed them backwards. It was a simple error. Thanks for catching that!

Do you still think it would be a mistake to trade a 21 SLT Sierra for a Denali Canyon?
