ok,very good with charging, what about using the batteries like a power bank, can it be soldered to the bms a step down module from 12v to 5v for charging smartphones

I used old laptop batteries...
I don't recommend.because if you use step down buck converter it will be heat in charging smartphone....

Yes.
If the battery can be removed separately from the laptop battery. Connect all the batteries in parallel.. then the capacity of the batteries will increase. After that connect the batteries to a power bank module. Otherwise you can use a step down buck converter which has a heat sink.. but it will waste a lot of energy. .

@@GADGETPODDAofficial Thanks for the replies.I need it 12v for echo dot and 5v for smartphones. If I do like you suggest all batteries in parallel will give 3.7v not 5v, is it ok? Will a 5v charger module charge a 1s6p battery without bms and without explosions? 😅

The power bank module can convert 3.7V to 5v...and it is also capable of charging all batteries.
