I'm actually really happy I found your channel because it's something I can relate to finally for once. Owning a 116i, of course the car has it's difference being the least powerful variant and of course a petrol (although it still feels great to drive and doesn't lack power.... Or that could be that it's my first car idk😂). But these cars whilst they are great cars, they do come with bills, I have owned my 116i for 3 months and have already payed £422 in repairs and maintenance... And today I'm going to get that nitrogen sensor looked at just to get the car back to 100% and hopefully nothing will come after that for a good while..but these cars just require work as they are old vehicles, but they are very underrated cars in my opinion. These cars are over-engineered given the time they came from and you can see that by just looking underneath the bonnet and at the simple lack of space under there. But great vids, keep it up!

@@drivelife.channel Ive just been watching some videos on how the issue can be resolved by placing a washer between the abs sensor and the reluctor ring. I may give it a try if I have time. I changed the oil on my 120i less than 2000km ago, filled it up to the line before the maximum section but now my digital oil level is saying it's right in the middle... Is the reading hella inaccurate or did I really go down in oil? My 1 series only has 30,000km, BMW no dipstick BS
It is possible that as the oil seeps and settles into the engine that the level will drop, it shouldn't be an issue provided that it is within the correct levels :)
I wouldn't really go by the sensor readings at all as I have just yesterday found that they are very badly inaccurate. Let me tell you what happened. So I was having brake issues so I just put it down to warn brake pads, and checked the dashboard computer and according to this, the front pads were good for 23k and the rear for 13k. Took the car to kwik-fit and they said the front pads and discs are completely warn whilst the rear discs are slightly warn but are okay for now and the rear pads are practically new. So those sensor readings are inaccurate, just go and get the checks done regardless
