I discovered this band on a plane to Amsterdam on my own 2 years ago. I put my headphones in, was drinking malbec and had airplane mode on so was offline on Spotify. For some reason this album was downloaded and I was like why is this in my library who are they? Then I saw they had a song called Amsterdam and I was like oooo that’s abit spooky and I listened to the whole album throughout the whole trip and ever since. I love them so so much can’t wait to see them next October 💕

First song I ever heard from them. It became my favorite song, yet I didn't ever look into them more (when I find a song I really love, I get scared to check out more songs in case I don't like them and it ruins what the song means to me.. Weird I know). But lately I started this journey of discovering more of them, and I couldn't be happier. Love these guys. Conors voice is absolutely out of this world. I've listened to this song countless times and everytime I hear it it's like the first time. Never experienced that with a song before.

'L' is a voiced consonant, which means you need to use your vocal cords to produce that sound, while 'p' is a voiceless consonant, which means you don't need your vocal cords to say it
Producing a sound without using your vocal cords requires a lot less effort so I guess that's why he does it
