Challenging Pigeon shooting over decoys, on Barley stubble, with GT and Kim the Wonder dog.

- The Pigeons were flighting all over this field, using the tree lines to fly against the strong wind. We decided to set up in the shelter of a strip of trees, with the wind and sun at our backs.
The shooting was challenging with the Pigeons jinking about in the wind and veering off at the last moment. Several Pigeons were shot just out of sight of the camera, behind the trees.
Once again Kim did a great job picking up the shot birds that fell out on the stubble and in the long grass in the tree line. She definitely didn't like the Thistles. I don't blame her.
