This works, but if you get an exhaust leak that's gonna be a silent death for everyone in the cab with the windows like that. There are many reasons why to branch off of the coolant system for heat, but yes there is a lot of heat that comes in there from off the exhaust side of the motor. Hopefully you'll switch to a proper heater system for your guys safety. Even without an exhaust leak there is still exhaust back there and its gonna get sucked up into the cabin. Especially if you're driving at slow speeds.
I bought mine with a heater already in it. I don’t know how it works, but it looks like it uses a heat exchanger off the coolant lines and uses a fan that blows air through it.
Hey man so what do you do when the summer comes back around to cover up that hole can you get a separate plate obviously you wouldn't want the heat coming in in the summer
Thanks you’ve given me ideas , I was gonna use a computer fan 12v I had laying around and drill 3” hole on that cover & mount fan on the back of cover and toggle switch above , kind of thinking about running that dryer vent hose to the exhaust header ? Maybe using a 3” boot of some kind with hose clamps around header and run hose to cover
How does hot water go thru PVC without causing the glue to release and pipes leak then? I’ve never had a problem with proper primer and gluing, none have come apart for me.
Been thinking about something like this. . Glad to see someone try it.
It works good, I made another video of a modification I made to it. Hopefully will post soon

What did you use in the engine compartment to collect the heat ? Heater duct saddle around the exhaust ? What size if you did ?
What kind of blower is that and where did you get it?
Attwood 3 inch bilge blower for a boat. Amazon prime $23.
@@LittleMan_LittleTractor thank you ... I found a 4" unit but haven't found a 3" unit.
@@william.eckerle8734 no problem. I originally ordered the 4 inch. It did not fit between the seats lol

HOW DO YOU KEEP THE DUST FROM BLOWING IN?
Ya don’t
Why don’t you just pipe your exhaust into the cab ? 🤦🏽
You should have put a fuse between the wire
You will be surprised by how much dust it blows when you drive on a gravel road!!!
Although PVC is flame resistant, PVC products release when heated. There's a reason they sell a heater core style heater kits.
Thank you for the information, I will do some research on this!
All my heater vents in my car are plastic.

Looks trashy. Not really an option for people with nice machines
This is a terrible idea
