@AlanAverill666 no worries..just thought It might have been different in Ireland, and I didn't realize it. Being an original metal head from before the term was a thang.. and TL was such an important band along my music journey. I do know a lot about them. Didn't mean to be "that guy" and hope it wasn't taken that way...again great episode and HORNS UP!!!
Dead right about Massacre on Johnny the Fox, now the complete opposite feel to that track being "old flame"... that song is an absolute masterpiece. The clean guitar tone is absolute perfection
The Boys are back in town! Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. I love this series and yes I have considered to catch up my collection about Thin Lizzy cds for long time! THX! PS. I am waitin for Black Sabbath episode! In my opinion Celtic Frost and Sabbs are the most important bands in metal at all. They discovered almost everything in this gender and I think thats great. Once again, thx man! High five for Addi!
I love 'Shades Of A Blue Orphanage'. 'Brought Down' is in the top 10 Lizzy songs to me. Love the tribute to Dr Strangely Strange in it because they just broke up. Plus how many 'baby's' can you get in one line. 'Maybe baby cause my baby had a baby by me.' Wonder who he was singing about in the line too 'I was seldom sober in nineteen hundred and fifty four.' He was five.
Yup, they kept us busy in the 70's collecting our heavy metal..LOL..I would mow lawns as a kid to get my lp money. Was paying $3.25 for a new release when I started buying my own records in the early 70's at 11 years old.
I only know about 20 TL songs but I'll delve further. I think a Megadeth episode would be great. So many ups and downs, would be interesting to hear your take on their discography.
It is so great to see Addi back!
One of the greatest bands ever in my opinion.
Great episode and great to see Addi again..please don't be a stranger! : )
Great chat. Thin Lizzy forever! Greetings from Italy!
Really great episode! Black rose is one of the best albums I've ever heard!
Would love an episode about your favorite folk songs that inspired you?
Enjoyed this! Remember Smiley Bolger had the Live and Dangerous backdrop hanging in Slattery's in the 90's?!
I spent last nite learning the solo from dancing in the moonlight - and yes it gave me chocolate stains on my pants.
I was buying these lps as they came out and Jailbreak is before Johnny The Fox or at least in the states..Great episode!
just following the wiki timeline....and dates on the back of the vinyls....

he has some of the greatest and worst lyrics it has to be said.....mean....scene....know what I mean.....
Next? Thinking out loud... Sabbath w/ Ozzy and Dio, Dio, Scorpions (Schenker, Uli and 80's eras) UFO (Schenker era of course)...
And Tony Martin!
@@bcek007 Scorpions...good call
Lol, also haven’t upgraded your Zoom-account eh? Same here. Love the episode, didn’t know Addi was a TL-fan, now I do.

Nightlife is a pearl!! Get off my screen!! Frankie carroll... Philomena... Absolute poseurs

Our boy Addi ain't a Megadeth boy.....
@AlanAverill666 ah that's a shame. Maybe you could do the Megadeth one on your own or with Joe from Gamma Bomb?
@@EdwardMonk good point! I'm on it
I'm a big Lizzy fan. And i like all albums of them. Because they have a soul
My favourite album is Johnny the Fox 🤟🤟🤟🤟
