    I just recently learned a friend of mine (and my family) recently lost his life. He was driving the Ford Torino at 27:28 in this video. Colton, you were always a good dude and you will be missed. May you rest in piece.

    also DIYed a STM kit, nice to see i wasnt the only person who experienced some heart burn 😂; from my stock MR oil temp gauges the 70273 cooler was 5-10c warmer than the stock from my (anecdotal) experience.. just food for thought; thanks for all the content that has helped me in my own 06 evo 9 endeavors.. Cheers Paul! 🍻

      Thanks for the info. It would be cool to know the temp difference between 3-4 different oilcooler options and also with no cooler. I assume the OEM oil temp gauge is not the most accurate, but I do believe the OEM cooler could have did a better job than this B&M cooler.

      @@BoostedFilms I did eventually swap out the B&M 70273 with the 70266 (after my factory shortblock let go after 185k) the 70266 is the same width and thickness as the 70273 but 4 inches taller and 20k BTUs vs 15k BTUs IIRC- so an option if youre looking for upgraded cooling without having to swap the feed/return lines you already put together.. unfortunately OEM oil temp sensor got deleted with a new oil pan so no word on if and how much cooler it runs.. thanks for all the vids Paul; im a huge fan and it has been a great help&inspiration to me! also my factory cooler was sitting around 90c and the smaller b&m was closer to 95c-100c freeway driving on the factory oil temp gauge so might have been in spec- not 100% on what the upper working temp is.. FYI

    when I bought my evo 8, 6 years ago, it had fender liners and an under shield. now my bumper cover comes off as easy as yours

    Yeah the STM Kit was a bit concerning for me. I bought the MAP one, it came with pre cut hoses :)

      Have you installed it? Did it come with any type of directions?

    • @thisguy092
      @thisguy092 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BoostedFilms yeah, on the website it had instructions. Also, there’s another video on TH-cam. Consider that kit for a street car, it’s pretty big and hugs the frame pretty well

    I believe the nut your talking about needs to be slipped on before you tighen all the nuts up. I had the same issue with the MAP o2 dump (not the eliminator version). You slide the nut in holding the o2 housing about 3-5mm away from the exhaust housing and tighten it up before the other nuts. Hopefully that helps

      Makes sense, Thanks. Sounds like something easier to do with the evo in a hoist and someone else there to help out.

    I’d take a flap disk abrasive pad on a grinder to the rear wheel arches. Then I’d body fill it and paint. Nothing too fancy

    It would be interesting to log oil temp before and after oil cooler install

    I mounted my oil cooler, same set up, with the fittings towards the inside/frame rail side, no leaks and shortest hose. Could not figure out how the supplied POS bracket was supposed to work.

    • @BoostedFilms
      @BoostedFilms  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      What did you put on the fittings that connect to the oil cooler?

    That last nut/stud location was a nightmare for me when I installed mine. I had to remove the ac compressor and bracket to get back there to even get a wrench on the bolt. Ended up sanding a nut down to a 7mm head size and impacting that bitch on lmao

      Yea i never re-installed my A/C stuff, so that made the whole downpipe job easier. But yea, a smaller nut... never really thought of that as a solution.

    What size hose are the oil cooler lines? With that cooler is it and orb style one? The cooler I got is orb style so the fittings have an o ring.

    • @BoostedFilms
      @BoostedFilms  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      its -8AN hose for the oil cooler lines.
