Thanks, I was driving myself crazy trying to get multiple records per page. I forgot all about the Data Merge Layout Tool because I had not used it since version 1.
Does anyone know if this also works for tables? So instead of creating X amount of pages, it populates fields in a table based on a changing Excel spreadsheet. I have a lot of data that updates regular and since i want it to look good, i need to import it into publisher so i can print it into a pretty booklet. Everything i've seen so far results in a lot of manual labor. I wonder if it's just me or if that's actually not possible.
Yes, data merge works with tables. If you want to have multiple rows per page you will need to place the table inside the data merge layout tool. Then make each table row its own layout box. I've been looking into updating my own work's catalog into a data merge, it allows non-designer people to be able to update data without opening the file. Let me know how it works out for you!
@@RyanTuscher that seems to work great! Thank you very much. Now I'm trying to figure out how to separate them onto different pages again. I've been thinking of having data merge tables on each page. On page 1 the table or row range is 1-12 and on page 2 the row range should be 13-24. So they're still pulling from the same spreadsheet. Let's see if that works.
What will you be making with Affinity Publisher's Data Merge?
@@RyanTuscher thanks for answering my question. Much appreciated.
Very useful - coming from indesign - your tutorials are a big help. Much appreciated! Cheers.
@@sumerianbrother Thank you for the kind words! I do my best to make them as detailed as possible without being boring/long.
Thanks, I'll be creating a product catalog for work and this is very handy.
Glad I was able to help! Your catalog is going to turn out great!

Is there any known way to use the find and replace panel to find text and replace with an image or graphic?
