      I'd expect nothing less from a j-series. Treat them well and they will go forever. My 2000 accord v6 has 210k on it currently, and the engine literally sounds (and runs) brand new.

      Hey uh, sorry I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say. Maybe try using Google translator? Yeah, these are reliable cars but I always say, buy the lowest mileage car you can.. less likely someone has had enough time to ruin it. Even great cars like these can be turned into junk by someone who abuses the car.

    • @muscleandimports
      @muscleandimports  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nice! I'm at roughly half that (approaching 60k). Dude I love this car so damn much. I'll never sell it. I eventually want a TLS-6 to compliment it. That, and a C6 ZR1 lol 😆
      Great choice in car though! You the original owner? What color? You should post up some content of yours!

    • @ceremyjlarkson9475
      @ceremyjlarkson9475 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@muscleandimports A TLS-6 is a great friend for your accord! And a vette? Cmon, you're choosin with too much taste!
      I'm not the original owner myself, I think I'm the fourth owner and likely to be the last owner this car will ever have. Just grey, nothing special but I've considered getting a blue wrap as Honda killed it with that blue for 2016. It's been a little bit of a basket case but not through any fault of it's own. Had some bad tires, warped rotors and unmaintained fluids. There's ironically a very slow oil leak on the side of the motor, I suspect it's a crank bed bolt that didn't get sealed fully. Honda has a TSB for that issue on some other J35s so that might be something you wanna look out for in the future.
      I might post some stuff of it in the future but I have no plans for it. I might do some maintenance videos as I think my car is one of the highest mileage 2016 6-6s out on the road at the moment.

    • @muscleandimports
      @muscleandimports  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ceremyjlarkson9475 haha, thanks man! Yeah I mean I think we all have our realistic and unrealistic car lists, and my 'realistic' one is:
      -this 6-6
      -a tls-6
      -my c5z
      -and a c6 zr1
      Best tastes of two completely opposite worlds, lol.
      And nice! I actually really like that grey. It was definitely a close 2nd only to black if I couldn't find a black one. The blue is cool, but I'd prefer your grey over it.
      And thanks for the heads up on the potential future oil leak cause. Yeah, it sucks sometimes because these cars can be abused by previous owners. I had a CLS-6 that was destroyed before it hit 80k miles when I purchased it. Glad yours is in good, loving hands now though. These cars deserve nothing less than true enthusiasts.
      Yeah man, post up anything on it! It's a special car and you're right, you're probably up there as one of the highest 9.5 gen 6-6s right now so that's definitely worth something. I know we'd all love to see what to expect as our mileage increases.
      So I'll definitely sub and look forward to seeing you post. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts!

      Yeah, the gearing does this car really well. I had a 2003 CL-S 6-speed before this, and one of the first things I noticed was the higher rpms it sits at on the freeway, and how much stronger it pulls because of the gearing. They geared this car just right. I've had it easily up to 150 and have no doubt it can do 160+. It definitely holds it's own against more powerful shit.

If he stopped around 120 like you said, well that's right where the stock governor cuts in, so that'd explain why it couldn't hit the same speed. I'm basemap tuned so I no longer have a speed governor. That being said, these really aren't 'fast' cars, they're just quick for what they are. Along with all the other benefits of owning one. It's just a n/a 3.5 sohc v6 that can mess with the dual cam 3.5s, 3.7s, 3.8s, turbo 4s & some turbo 6s, and even a handful of v8s! This car definitely holds its own, and then some.. Pretty much my reasoning for the car, aside from it being the last of 3 things: the accord coupe, the av6, and now, the MT accord. The sound is just intoxicating and causes me to crack Vtec far more often than I probably should LoL... In terms of performance, stock v stock, Yes the J gets the nod.. but mod v mod, your 2.0t has wayyy more easily accessible power. You basically have a detuned type R motor so FBO & tuned, your car can be a monster. All in all, they're both great cars that make fun, reliable, and decently powerful dailys. Good shit 👍

      @@jamesluna162 yes I also read that setting it 20% is supposed to be the sweet spot, I just haven't touched it yet. I haven't touched a thing on the tune yet, I just uploaded the 91 base map. (Honestly I didn't feel a thing acceleration-wise when I did wheels, j pipe & base map tune all at the same time). I'm sure you will enjoy the cdv delete, it seems like everyone does. If you're on driveaccord, I'd read up on the cdv delete before you do it for any tips & tricks. I think i remember reading someone said they bought the stock part & did the mod on the side, then just swapped them out, just incase they messed anything up. Not a bad idea.
