I'm not the original owner myself, I think I'm the fourth owner and likely to be the last owner this car will ever have. Just grey, nothing special but I've considered getting a blue wrap as Honda killed it with that blue for 2016. It's been a little bit of a basket case but not through any fault of it's own. Had some bad tires, warped rotors and unmaintained fluids. There's ironically a very slow oil leak on the side of the motor, I suspect it's a crank bed bolt that didn't get sealed fully. Honda has a TSB for that issue on some other J35s so that might be something you wanna look out for in the future. I might post some stuff of it in the future but I have no plans for it. I might do some maintenance videos as I think my car is one of the highest mileage 2016 6-6s out on the road at the moment.

I had a CLS-6 that was destroyed before it hit 80k miles when I purchased it. Glad yours is in good, loving hands now though. These cars deserve nothing less than true enthusiasts. I just sold my 07 Si fa5 fully bolted and tuned mind you because my gal wanted an accord and I finally found one and rest drove it I was like damn!!! Like when you open up a playboy and you don't expect what you get for what you just paid..that's my thoughts

Yeah, the gearing does this car really well. I had a 2003 CL-S 6-speed before this, and one of the first things I noticed was the higher rpms it sits at on the freeway, and how much stronger it pulls because of the gearing. They geared this car just right. I've had it easily up to 150 and have no doubt it can do 160+. It definitely holds it's own against more powerful shit.
@@muscleandimports they don’t run as fast as it seems up top around 100 and higher. Ran one the other day and ran him to 150. Not sure what speed he hit but I’d assume around 110-120
@@kingexpithia couldn't tell ya without being there. If he stopped around 120 like you said, well that's right where the stock governor cuts in, so that'd explain why it couldn't hit the same speed. I'm basemap tuned so I no longer have a speed governor. That being said, these really aren't 'fast' cars, they're just quick for what they are. Along with all the other benefits of owning one. It's just a n/a 3.5 sohc v6 that can mess with the dual cam 3.5s, 3.7s, 3.8s, turbo 4s & some turbo 6s, and even a handful of v8s! This car definitely holds its own, and then some.. I might have to do something of a top speed run one day to document what it can really do.

And they aren’t super expensive and have some good gadgets to play with as well. I have a BMW 650i and sometimes I wish I had a Honda or something along the lines just to play with. You can make some fast builds with them.

I definitely can, I just rarely choose dig runs because of how hard they are on the drivetrain. Not to mention, it's just fwd. Nothing special off the line with all the wheelspin. Runs like this (40-100) are where the car really shines imo. Thank you for the compliments!
@@ChuckisNorrish what you're hearing is the intake induction noise. It has a takeda short ram intake which is what makes vtec sound so aggressive. It was my first and most mandatory mod for the car lol. Put an intake on your v6 and it should sound similar to this too. Also, yes, the exhaust does have a small mod (the ATLP 3-inch catless j-pipe) but that literally barely changed the exhaust sound. It's only slightly deeper and that tone difference is so minor that it doesn't show up on camera. 99% of the aggressiveness you're hearing is attributed solely to the intake.

No, I've actually had the z06 longer than I've had the accord. Either way, neither of them are going anywhere anytime soon lol. Love both cars in their own respects. If I'm ever ballin' like that though, the goal is to have a C6 ZR1 & a Mines R34 GTR (along with a shitload of bikes) one day lol.. And even then, I'd still love to keep these cars if I can.

The sound is just intoxicating and causes me to crack Vtec far more often than I probably should LoL... In terms of performance, stock v stock, Yes the J gets the nod.. but mod v mod, your 2.0t has wayyy more easily accessible power. You basically have a detuned type R motor so FBO & tuned, your car can be a monster. All in all, they're both great cars that make fun, reliable, and decently powerful dailys. Good shit 👍

I have a 2007 Honda Pilot with 230,000 miles and it’s the J35 A9 V6 single over head cam and it’s still running and driving to this day.
