Excellent video, thank you - lots of detail about how to remove and refit. Suggest people use the Bosch variety as other makes seem to make a loud "ticking" noise when idling.
Replaced the same thing fee days ago and have no lights showing up ever since. Was a bit hard but worth the effort. Code no P0171 gone. Super happy 😊
I read many articles about the fuel vacuum valve fails made this code. Most of these problem occurs but still drive normal, maybe a few MPG down but hard to feel it.
Is there any way to make sure the code is related to this problem? I saw some of the updates telling me they have exchanged the part but the code still comes back after a while.
Blow the vacuum?
Fitted a new purge valve on my corsa, engine warning light has been cleared now for just over 2 weeks. Fingers crossed it doesn’t return
taking off the rubber tube was really hard on the opel adam... but thanks anyway it's helped me a lot!!!

Hi , my vauxhall astra 2012 hatchback showing exactly same code dose it gonna work? And this parts can i use too .thank you so much for you easy solution guidelines😊
Part fitted, code cleared, short drive seams fine, the last time it happened and cleared the code it came back 4weeks later so I’ll update in a month or so 🤞
Meant to update, car is all good 🤙
What is that part called?
@@sayedali883 in German it is the "Be-/Entlüftungsventil Kraftstoffbehälter" i think the english word would be "Fuel Tank Breather Valve" or something like that.
Is that the PCV valve? I have 18 plate mokka x only 21k on the clock and its showing check engine light, I used a scan tool and it says system too lean. Great video 👍🏽
My mpg hasn't changed, if anything its getting better
TransTibial 'OG' yes PCV, EVAP
Anyone wondering what the part is it's the purge control valve. A bosch one on a corsa 1.4.
55566514 yes it is
Hi I got the same problem but with my astra 2013 SRI. Code is P0171 & also P0106. (Manifold absolute pressure sensor performance) do you know what part I need for these? Will this part be the same for my astra for the P0171 also
hi if its the same engine yes that would be same for your astra
Mustang Motors yes it’s a 1.4L. Thank you will also give this a try tomorrow!
Hi, snapped the green thing as I thought I had to pull it down.. would this be an issue? would I have to replace it or something larger? Thanks
Hi there it is secure with white clip? Try to pull slightly slowly if it’s locked in place it’s good, if not then please replace soon.
@@MustangMotors no worries, I couldn't take the PCV valve out so I took it to my local garage to replace. They replaced it for £25 labour and checked for any vacuum leaks incase that was an issue. They also removed the green thing I snapped and my car seems to be running smoother than when I bought it!
Hi mate, great video and I think this is my problem on my 2016 corsa. I'm desperately trying to follow the video, but can't get the last bit off using the green/white clip. Exactly how do you do it? Do you press the white clip inwards?
Hello there you will need to pry the green safety clip outward and then press the white clip inwards and pull it out.
Some say he's still trying to pull out
So on the old one membrane inside was damaged/fractured and that's why air could flow even without the signal from ecu. Am I right?
Yes that’s correct
Have an astra j excite 1.4 petrol same error code came up, would this fix it?
Haseeb Hussain hi yes it should with same petrol engine 1.4
@@MustangMotors hi, while i totally forgot about this video, this is exactly what my mechanic diagnosedand changed the purge valve and it worked, thanks for the help
I cant get that green clipper out.
video 1:21 you have to push the green clip outwards both ends and push gently out to unlock it.
would this work on a vauxhall corsa 64plate?
Yes
Would this work on a 1.6 vxr corsa 16 plate
No sure, does it have the same valve? If you have try it should fix your problem
If you're in the UK, where can you order these?
iJazz use this part no 55566514, you can get that from Vauxhall dealer, Jayar car parts, Amazon or eBay
@@MustangMotors thank you. I was trying not to use ebay or amazon incase they may be fake. But will go Vauxhall when they're open.. thank you again
Motor parts direct had mine on the self. 35 quid ish I think 👍
Why do you remove that metal part at 2:30?
hi you mean the rubber on the metal bracket.
How about Opel Mokka with P0171 lean bank 1? Will it fix it? TIA
Hi yes it should do you have 1.4 engine
@@MustangMotors yes I have 1.4 Turbo but I only have P0171 code and no engine check indication light on the dashboard.
