I loved the parade of sweaters in your secret video catchup! The one's you are wearing. It keeps switching! It was so fun! I am working on my May Sock Squad socks. I decided to subscribe this year after I watched you make yours. I was not a sock knitter at all but now I'm really loving it. I'm going to try and join the chaotic mess knitt along. We'll see if I can get organized.
I hope you can join (tanks don’t have sleeves so basically they’re a so quick 😂😂😂) I love socks and miss them - I’ll be getting a pair or two on needles this summer for sure. I’ve been loving the colors from this year’s sock squad but I could not have handled it this year 🤣🙈
Love seeing all of your projects! Excited to join in on the KAL, I've been wanting to make the color tip tee for a while now. I've always loved Emily's single colored version.
Oh my gosh, Graceling!! I read that book when it first came out (maybe like 2010-ish?) and I had no idea it was a series. Thank you for reminding me about it hahaha!! I remember really loving it, I hope you enjoy it as well ☺️ Loved the story about your daughter at the zoo LOL. And since you asked, I’m working on my Carlisle DK test knit as I watch!!
Oh yay! I’m glad I helped you remember it! I think I’ll keep going in this series - I really like it so far! I was so tempted to sign up for the Carlisle but clearly could not handle that right now - it’s on my list to make eventually! How do you like it?
That wrap top is stunning 😍 I think they are super flattering for those of us with long torsos and smaller waists compared to upper torso size. I would love to make….but that mental challenge bit might be too much for me to over come 😅
Your comment about your baby at the zoo made me laugh. When my oldest was 2 and a bit we went to Amsterdam, a work trip for my husband and a holiday for me and K1, so I took her to the zoo (which is in the process of transitioning from a small enclosure zoo to a larger mixed enclosure space as they can buy up the land around the zoo - it's in the middle of the city so space is at a premium) and her favourite animal was....the pigeons. Just ordinary city pigeons wandering around looking for crumbs. There were peacocks wandering around amidst the pigeons, was she interested in them? she was not. I was knitting on my 24 birds shawl, a now finished MKAL from Helen Stewart.
Hahahaha! My SIL told me today my niece's favorite zoo animal was crows for her first whole year going to the zoo. We have tons of crows around her so she sees them everywhere and nothing could compete 🤣 Also the Amsterdam zoo is sooooo cool! I was there 7 years ago and I just remember there were monkeys just hanging out in the open around their little house but not in a cage! It was so cool!
Fun way to give us all the details on your secret tests. I didn't see an update on the crochet baby blanket. I was thinking you had a deadline fairly soon on that. We're you able to make progress? With all the projects you have on the go it has to be challenging to make progress on everything. Your wrap sweaterlooks great on you and the color is so good on you.
Wow that wrap top looks amazing! And the colour!! Also the colour of the mixed rib cami again. It's magic when people find their best colours! I can't believe how far along you are on the stripey turtle tank! I was knitting on my slanty stripes while watching (along with all my other wips 😬 I switch pretty often to mix it up for my hands). My kids love the Woodland Zoo! We go only once a year as its a bit of a trip from Vancouver but so worth it. Although they will be outgrowing it soon.
Aww yay it’s so much fun and I’m hoping Theo eventually cares about the animals 🤣 it is so fun when colors sing in knits! I’m so glad I found the tones that work for me!
@@a_knotty_mess she is still so young. I am sure she will eventually. When my middle was two we went to a different zoo. There was a massive Tiger very close to the glass window and everyone was so excited. My son didn't care at all. He only had eyes for the boring grey fish in the tiger's pond 😂
So I was wondering if you were going to be meeting up with folks on Sunday as well as the other arguably more popular days. That blue is absolutely stunning on you. Loved the catch up. I have been working on a test crochet tank top, and just started knitting a 3 color cashmere shawl. I think I've settled on colors for the slanty tank project. Might start it on my trip to Spokane next month. I would love to clear off some needles first. It's also going to be the first hand spun yarn that I'll have used from the hand spun stash if all the colors work out.
Ooo I so hope that works out sounds lovely and I can't wait to see more in the discord! I will be at Flock both days so we can have more than one photo shoot!
Wow love that blue on you
Was going to same!
Thank you!!

Hi Meghan! It was so nice seeing you again at book club today and wanted to check out your podcast! Your yarn stash is amazing
Thank you!! Nice to see you again too! Thanks for connecting with me here ❤️

Haha don’t do it on a deadline, but you can do it!! It’s so worth the work 😍

I made 0 progress this week 🙈 but I am getting some done this weekend (this one is a self imposed deadline) but I do need it out of my house soon!
The mini set is Sewrella’s winter tonals!
Ha ok clearly I don't buy Sewrella much! Thanks for clarifying!!

I'm still on my Libby waitlist for Funny Story by Emily Henry. My Wait queue is so full.
My wait queue is always full but then I get like 6 dumped on me at once 🙈
@@a_knotty_mess big same
You've been a (bad?) Influence on me....I'm sitting here working on my 4th test knit in a row. 😅
You're telling me! I'm a bad influence on me! I just love knitting with others hahaha
Is the KAL open to those outside the USA?
For sure - depending on where you are we might mod a prize if you're a winner!
