Conclusion of video: 1- Dont count how long you study just keep studying 2- Use active recall to save time. 3- You cant just study tough subjects 2 hrs a day and get an A you have to give time and effort there is no shrtcut. 4- Have pride in your work and the time wont even matter. Thanks guys🎉
'You get motivation by doing the work, not before doing the work'. Honestly this thing always comes in my mind whenever I try to study when I keep thinking that it's boring and it is something which always drives me to keep my fire lit for my studies. Trust me, when u apply this mantra on your dumbass mind, it will start believing on it
Are you watching me with cameras or something , I was just about to research how to be better with low times of studying. Like how are you soo helpful ❤️😅
One tip is to read the questions before reading. After you’re done reading the questions, you start to read the passage and underline important information that will go with each question. After that. You can check the questions, look at the underlined information, and you will be able to answer the questions. I’m not in college yet, so this is my way in efficiency in practices and tests.
Thanks for the tip! It is also good to try capturing the main ideas and concepts by skimming throw the materials first before jumping into questions. I always do this to at least have a bit of the idea of what is going on since before trying to understand it deeply to do the tasks and, furthermore, to remember the details. Its like designing "shelves" for your closets to store "knowledge" with a marker first and then trying to fit as much as possible in each one, and it really helps me organizing and systemizing the contents which increase my memory and also joy of studying :D
It's a Taylor Swift song lol...but it goes like "thanK you aIMee" But jokes aside I do wanna say thank you Amy because u are really hardworking and talented and despite the hardships u faced u still stand strong, kudos to that ❤
7:59 I just realized that I'd been doing this all along since like 7th grade! I always introspected and iterated on my efficiency, preparation, and time management on a regular basis. this helped me identify where I was lacking and allowed me to create my own efficiencies with minimal help from TH-camrs. I recommend everyone journal!
This video is a total gem! 🌟 I love how it flips the script on traditional studying. It's all about working smarter, not harder! 📚✨ Can't wait to embrace these tips and turn my study sessions into something magical! ✨💖
My effortS. Next year Im going to grd 9 I have already started the work now in December so next year flows easy and Im proud lots of love from Busisiwe 14 year old South Africa
A tip that could help : before every study session I write down everything I can remember from the last session, and what I feel is important to have in mind about the basics on the topic I’m about to study. It really helps. And I immediately spot where the flaws are, the things that should be clear at that point but aren’t, etc.
Amy, just after 2 hours of struggling with a topic called "partnership" I found a great way that you mentioned today. ACTIVE learning. I just found out thinking something practically rather than actually applying formulae without pragmatic application literally got me saving hours. I am now doing math number 5 after a lot of research on formulae, youtube videos etc and got tired. Just a few min later I thought about what you said and applied it. Believe it or not guys I completed 2 maths in just 5 minutes! duh Thanks AMY! Plus thank you for social media awareness. I literally wanna shine.
I start applying the "jump straight into homework" and "tennis method" right after the first deep reading of the learning contents and its a game changer! It saves me tons of time trying to reread materials again just to find the big picture, instead the rereading serves only as learning the smaller details that the homeworks and tasks don't usually cover.
I always convince myself to get out of the “not working” inertia by doing it “badly” the first try. It’s pretty different from “it doesn’t have to be perfect” because that still sets an expectation for good content; not that you’re supposed to ACTUALLY produce bad results, this just helps me get into that work flow. Loved the video, by the way. Sometimes I struggle with openly acting like I want good results because I felt it made me seem too serious. This was a good comfort call!
Could I hear about your opinion on making revision notes for every chapter? They’re the most time consuming task I have, so I want to be sure it’s worth the effort.
This is really revolutionary! I like how you explain that studying more intelligently is more important than cramming. I will definitely use this tactic in my finals!
I’ve always been able to get straight As without studying. But I am still quite young, and know that things are going to get harder sooner or later. It doesn’t help that I’m a procrastinator, studying for any amount of time a day is hard for me, so even studying 1-2hrs a day would boost my performance and help me maintain my grades in the long run. Your channel has helped me get a much better idea of how to mentally approach studying without perceiving it as a chore, and I think It’s gonna give me a more healthy relationship with school. So thanks for saving my future self!
Saved this in my academic beast playlist for youtube, tks so much Amy 💗💗❤❤ I am on the verge of failing college cuz of bad grades, this is just what I needed 💗💗

Thank you for this video. I was always self-conscious about how long I would study because I thought people took less time than me to learn a subject. Of course, my study practice was not always the best, but if I needed the time, well, I needed it and should not compare myself to others. To also not fall for these videos that provide wrong studying practices that will only set me back.

I really need this because I feel like this time around I actually want to study effectively to better my Grades
What is started to gelp me write quick and effective notes, especially in classes where we have to do it on our own, look at the homework if there is access. They are usually referencing to specific sections and giving importance to sections that your notes should primarily be based on. Then, you can read the remaining sections for gaps if there is time.
Hi Amy, I recently discovered your channel. Among lots of studytubers, you are the easiest to follow. Your tips are logical and effective, not to say extremely relatable problems and smarter solutions. I watched your videos on acing physics, but recently I have been struggling in chemistry a lot. Pleaseeeeee make a video for acing CHEMISTRY😭😭😭. Take love❤
I SUBSCRIBED THIS IS SO GOOOOOOD. I am an 8th grader and I work super hard but I am trying to get into a really good college whilst getting good grades with hard classes and balance my extra curriculars. I have all A's so far but I just love your videos to keep my sanity :)
Hi Amy, Could you please make a video on how you balance your work and life so well? I am in IB Program at school and I am really struggling with it. And also, I am very curious about how to be part of your A Team! Thank you so much!
Haha , I am autistic and have mixed ethnicity of British, Irish, Native American Choctaw and Cherokee, Spanish, French, and German . If you know about British people , there is something called British humour. Sarcasm is part of it. So I love using sarcasm to trip people up. This is weird though because I’m autistic so my brain at first didn’t register that you were using sarcasm lol. It’s weird because the British in me combined with being autistic makes me understand sarcasm immediately when I do it . I use it all the time on people and think it’s funny because they actually believe me for a second and let it sink in. Then I trip them up whenever it really sinks in only to tell them it’s a sarcastic joke later. But for me for some reason because of my autism, it takes me a while to know if other people were using it and I almost listened to you lol about the sarcastic things you were saying. But then I got a feeling about “hmm this doesn’t sound right “ because of my dyslexia. People often bring up what we struggle with but don’t realize that it’s also a superpower for some people and not just a disability. It makes me have excellent intuition. Also my ADHD helps me stay calm under pressure which is what you keep saying to do a lot. I want to thank you a lot because you help me through the challenges with ny developmental and learning disabilities.
I will say, although I understand active studying is better than passive studying, I think I’ll still do both because I think passive studying as a break and sometimes do it for fun
I, too, thought that 1 hour isn’t enough to finish even one work and I don’t usually study 😅 This is a really helpful video because it’s real and not just appealing to those who need a dopamine boost
Inspiring as always! I decided to check a video out after finishing the last assignment for my Geology class before the final. Even though it may be based off an old outline and represented at a different time, the tips are no doubt timeless! Thank you Amy! :D Curious, are you on a new camera/video editor setup? The main video camera footage looks perfected; it reminds me of how K-drama footage are perfected.
Your videos are too long : yaa they are but u know what I always see the time when u upload it and am like oh a long video wow! Am gonna get so much today. Amy 😅 when I saw the title I doubted and somehow it was shocking for me that "1hour a day"!!!...... literally I rechecked the channel as well but yaa it's you. Generally I avoid such titles/tips but I know you I have been following you for long.... So I had to see it believing it's a lie and now after watching the whole video I am super happy 😁 it's a great👍 video ....... pheew😂.....
I have just one question... In one of your most popular videos, you said to "delete all social media". Since TH-cam is technically social media, it leads me to this question: would you rather your viewers watch a bunch of your videos, retain the information by writing it down, and acting upon it later (for example, attention spans), or would you rather us just do the one thing you said to do (delete social media and work on a habit), and just jumping into working on the habit immediately? (Actual genuine question)
Great question-thank you for asking! TH-cam is technically considered social media because it’s user-generated content, but I see it differently, especially when it comes to long-form videos. Unlike short-form platforms designed for endless, mindless scrolling, TH-cam long-form is intentional-you actively choose which video to watch, rather than being force-fed content by an algorithm. Plus, creating high-quality videos has a much higher barrier to entry compared to other platforms; it’s more strategic, value-driven, and purposeful, not just casual social sharing. When I suggest deleting social media, my focus is on minimizing the things that harm your attention span-like constant scrolling on apps designed to keep you hooked. TH-cam long-form is different because it’s more deliberate and can actually be a tool for learning and growth when used wisely. Fun fact: in its early days, TH-cam existed long before the modern “social media” craze, so it’s in a unique category. That said, topics like these do require some nuance. Please be discerning and think about how you’re using any platform, TH-cam included. If you’re engaging with content intentionally and it’s helping you grow, that’s a win. Whether you watch and apply key takeaways from my videos or dive straight into building a habit, the ultimate goal is meaningful progress. The key is using tools like TH-cam wisely, not letting them use you. 🧡
ANOTHER INCREDIBLE VIDEO FROM OUR INTELLECTUAL QUEEN! ❤🧡💛💚💙🤍🖤🤎💜 I am utilizing more of your tips, taking more notes, and I am making more and more progress day by day because of your content! I am immersing myself with your comforting commentary and wise advice by using the time-log exercise, listening to your podcasts, practicing more mindfulness and reflection (much more than how I USED TO) and so on! My grades are improving gradually and I hope everyone here will get to live their A+ life!
sometimes the answers for the questions are so obvious… just like the example with the sphere and cotton balls. (btw thanks for making videos, i always go to youtube whenever i feel down to increase my motivation to study more!)
This is probably the realest study effectively video that I've seen haha most ppl just try to sell you the dream of "study 2 hrs a day"
frr
Conclusion of video:
1- Dont count how long you study just keep studying
2- Use active recall to save time.
3- You cant just study tough subjects 2 hrs a day and get an A you have to give time and effort there is no shrtcut.

Hey amy, im about to start uni any tips? I feel like it will be alotttt different from highschool what do you recommend to freshers?
A tip that could help : before every study session I write down everything I can remember from the last session, and what I feel is important to have in mind about the basics on the topic I’m about to study. It saves me tons of time trying to reread materials again just to find the big picture, instead the rereading serves only as learning the smaller details that the homeworks and tasks don't usually cover.
To increase activeness and decrease passiveness u can;
SET CLEAR GOALS,
CREATE A Routine,
Time blocking,
Starting small and so on
I always convince myself to get out of the “not working” inertia by doing it “badly” the first try.
hey Amy ! .. um .. can you please make a video on how to be in the "stretch zone"
But Amy I love studying while hearing music
If you can focus on your studies by listening to songs.. then it's good for you
Loved the intro❤😂
Your the best! 💘
I love how you don't brag about studying for long hours like other TH-camrs ❤❤
7 MINUTES AGO IS TOO EARLY? THIS VIDEO FOUND ME WHEN I NEED IT TF
