I just purchased this Tacoma with the Premium Tech Packag, Leather seats, and long bed. It is the perfect blend of old school expectations with modern day tech. I love the fact that it has enough technology, but doesn’t have a massive surface tablet looking thing on the dashboard. Overall, I love it.
I just bought this same color Tacoma TRD off road truck on Saturday 4/29/23. It is a sharp looking truck. Next year I planned getting the Trd suspension lift installed and upgrading to some 285/70R16 tires on my truck.
Just bought a 2023 Tacoma, same color. Drives like a dream , compared tò my 2005 which lasted over 300k. The interior all black with some red is nice , love the clean and simple look.
Very good review...thanks. Minor correction, you dont have to remove the rear headrests to fold the seat down. The headrests have a hinge to fold them down.
My 2005 TRD Sport was totaled (roll over) last week by some idiot running a red light. It was 18 trouble free years. I walked away with nothing but bruises. Best truck I ever owned. I am searching for the replacement. Chevrolet Silverado's are too expensive and I will not drive a 4 cylinder truck. That is a major reason I will not wait for the 2024s to arrive. These trucks are bullet proof and that V6 is an excellent engine. Too many people are caught up with interior looks, it's a pick-up for crying out loud. I think I will test drive the Off Road and the Sport this time around and see how they compare on the road. The Canyon and Colorados are also way too overpriced.
Great overview Thank you it was very informative and helpful! I just bought a 2023 Tacoma TRD Premium and love it . I wanted to get the last of the v6 naturally aspirated Tacoma’s. Your break down of all the options and features was very helpful and much appreciated. Liked and Subscribed 👍🏻
I live in a big city , corporate job and sick of it. Planning to move to the country side and looking for a wonderful pickup truck. Seems to me this is by far the most reliable engine. Looking forward to buying one and keep it for many years to come
Especially because they've been making this powertrain for so many years it now, it's got a lot of problems already worked out they you tend to see when a new engine or powertrain releases
@@Krowicki I’m glad to hear you say that. I notice with every generation they tend to finish ironing out problems the last 2 years or so of that gen. That’s why I’m picking this one up this year since they’re redesigning next year
Purchased one fully loaded (might have got a bit screwed but at that time it was hard to get what you wanted) Besides I'm looking long term it will pay off as long as it's serviced regularly. tacos can last forever. I'm not putting hardly any miles on it and it's a garage girl so that's going to add to long term value. Last of the taco v6 a proven platform.
HA, Go Cats Go! Love to Taco, the lines look awesome and the v6 is a must have for any East Texan hauling ANYTHING! I've seem other videos where the used trucks are more expensive than brand new ones, IF you can find the new ones! Been wanting one of these since they came out and hoping when the 2023's come out that I can find some good deals on last yea's model and FINALLY stop having to drag around a trailer for my dirt bike! I would rather go Ford and Buy USA but damn this is a great looking truck, thanks Cat Man (Krowicki) GREAT VIDEO!
The 2024 Tacomas are going to a 4-cylinder engine, so if you want a smaller truck with good horsepower, you might want to consider going with the 2023 models.
I heading to Toyota tomorrow. If the numbers make sense, I’ll upgrade my 2018 TRD Sport for a 2023 TRD. If the difference is 10k or less, I’m going for it.
Dear Sir, could you advise me on which setting I should use on my transmission when traveling down a steep grade so I don’t have to use my brake so much?
go into manual mode and shift down one or two gears to keep the rpm's a little higher than usual but not too high. this should help slow it down a little.
So supposedly the off roads have crawl control and a locker, but I didn’t see any buttons for that. I just see the 4wd selector wheel. Where are those buttons at??
Well done! More than enough power, and naturally aspirated. Have the ‘23 premium loaded (as good as trd pro, but with better color option of lunar rock). And probably few grand less than pro.
Has anyone ever heard of the IRS pay half of the truck you wanna get but it has to be 6000 LBS or more??? If so, does anyone know what weight requirement the IRS target, Curb Weight or Gross Vehicle Weight? Does Tacoma meet the requirement?
you can write off up to $28,900 of the purchase if a vehicle that has a GVWR between 6,000 lbs to 14,000 lbs. If the vehicle is less than 6,000 lbs you can still write it off in the same way but you can only write off $11,200. They’re not paying half of your vehicle for you but what this does is reduce the amount of tax you’ll pay. you’ll subtract this number from your income and only pay taxes on that number (assuming you have no other deductions). Tacomas come in at around 5,600 lbs
@@Krowicki So I live in arizona and if i go to any arizona toyota dealership and tell them about this, will they be okay doing this kind of thing even tho the tacoma is less than 6000 lbs?
@@RecklessAsian1721 this isn’t something you have to tell the dealership about. rather you want to talk to an accountant. as far as i know you want to put the car in your business’s name. i would also have the discussion with an accountant first before buying the car as i’m not 100% about the details. quick chat with one about your situation could save you from making a big financial mistake.
@El Guapo toyota is reliable, but no for long with all those turbo powered engines. I used to have a 2012 tacoma and was very weak off road and bouncy , very uncomfortable seats , cabin leaked . So , I sold that Truck and bought a 2021 gmc sierra denali with duramax engine. No regrets!
This is due for a redesign soon. Other midsize trucks such as the Colorado and Frontier were also ancient before their redesigns which happened in the past year or so.
Ohh c'mon.. you're forgetting the point. it's not supposed to change. They're supposed to keep it simple, and thats why it's the best selling pickup truck. People buy them because it's simple, capable, reliable, and valuable.

BIG THANKS.
My biggest issue with Tacoma is how it drives. Very bouncy ride. Fun on snow, but too bouncy in daily commute
Especially with spacers and suspension that’s out of geometry for looks
Yea but that's because it's mostly an off road oriented truck
It's a 4 wheel drive truck and this one is specifically outfitted for off road so yeah. You may be more of a car person
I love driving mine in town. Speed bumps, pot holes, barking blacks or flooded streets? No problem.
