This is the second Buddah single to make a reference to "The Howdy Doody Show". The other one was from 1969 by The 1910 Fruitgum Company, and was titled "Bring Back Howdy Doody", but it was placed on the single backwards and re-titled "Pow Wow" (it was considered a secret hidden track.) It was the B-side of "Indian Giver." I wonder how many copies were ruined over the years of curious kids trying to play it in reverse to hear the song forwards by using their manual phonographs that could play in reverse.
I got the rare stereo version of that song which also have the mono on the flip side!! There were 2 different songs on the flip 45 B side "Welcome Back To Dootieville" (vocal) & "Lanny's Tune" (instrumental). There was no album & the lead singer is Tommy Nolan.
