Once the infantry got past the mines, I was thinking "whelp, guess it's over."
Then the minelayers steamrolled them and then I was "oh...yeah, I should've seen that coming."

Mammoths were in a choke point and still won. Would've won greater if not for the choke point..
Or if the infantry had rushed them instead.
(less Mammoths lost through concentration of firepower)

Chronoshifting one sitting in your base is a worse idea (don’t ask me how I know this...)

see, a good mod could be a plastique demo truck, you can detonate it, but damage will only destroy it.
chronoshifting mad tank is the funnest
@@ChristIceman I set one of those off in the middle of my base because I didn't realize how it worked. I also learned the same lesson Laura above us mentioned. Ooof
1. I hadn't realized how much of a glass cannon Tesla coils were
2. I never realized they had splash damage on infantry!

Yeah, first generation obelisks and Tesla coils were incredibly fragile when compared with later iterations, but also much more powerful. Especially the coils, because they could distribute smaller zaps to quickly kill infantry in case of a rush or a big, powerful zap against vehicles.
Even in the original, all weapons do splash damage to adjacent units.
Although bullet weapons weren't noticeable.
@@marcor3843 Obelisks and Tesla Coils had 3 levels of zap.
Level 1 is used against infantry.
Level 2 against light/medium vehicles.
Level 3 against heavies.

In the original game there were no such units.
This is the kind of quality programming we need more of on YT. Fun for the whole family.
Sorry for the long time since the last video, some of these fights took a while to get right!
Taking your time and making it right matter more than to rush it and having mixed or boring fights
I have watched all the other Videos before and I must say: it's Well worth the wait. Also, who am I to complain? It's free Entertainment in one of my most beloved Video Game series', so I am very Happy someone's doing these crazy Videos and experiments. You Sir, a the G.O.A.T. :)

I did not expect that outcome from the rocket soldiers vs. demo trucks fight. Very satisfying.
Always fun seeing theses in my feed, always a fun thing to sit down and watch , hard to do but it is satisfying.

I think there are actually 3 engineers remaining, chilling in the obilisks that didn't blow up. ;-)

That heavy tank vs. tesla tank was like watching the Defense of Moscow, all those HTs pushing so close to the enemy base and so close to whittling away victory, only to be stalled by the absolutely desperate defense of the red army that kept reinforcing lost units until that seemingly fragile wall of defenses starts building up and up and achieving critical mass to just sweep towards the west.
It's uncanny.
Minelayers: “they got through our mine barrier! Quick let’s run them over!”
Riflemen: “wait that’s chea-“ *squish*
All were awesome to watch but I love the obelisks one with engineers capturing them 🤩

for the last match I was wondering "wait, they aren't programmed to gas the colonies so how are they going to win?" and then the reinforcements came and I was like "ah, the survival game". Would like to see more of those types of matches if possible
That kind of map takes a lot of time to make because the editor is so limited and buggy... :)

I was always backing the Rocket troops because of the inevitable chain reactions that eventually doomed them. I was surprised by how close the fight was though, it could have gone the other way

Demo trucks can beat rocket soldiers, but the only reason they lose is that they blow themselves up

This was way more interesting than I anticipated.
I notice a trend, with power units vs normal ones in the Free Fights, the normal units get an early lead by production speed but there just comes a point where the power units hit a critical mass, and it's all over.

These are fun. They hearken me back to a simpler time when I made scenarios like this with Warcraft, Starcraft, Gothic 3, Skyrim, Dungeon Siege 2, and many others.

In the original C&C was impossible capture laser and rockets towers. Although in some missions you can receive a helicopter by a soldier.

You can't normally. The game was modded to allow it, it literally said so on the screen lol

I haven't played a lot of TD remastered but is it just me or do those obelisk lasers look worse than they ever did? Just looks like a thick red line in mspaint

That's all it was in the original, so points for accuracy. Somebody should make a mod to improve the look of it.

That Heavy Tank vs Tesla Tank was just like the eastern front in WW2. Just when u though the heavies would win the teslas got backup and pushed them back.
