- Finally, after finishing all of the fabrication on the mini bike and getting the last parts I needed in the mail, I was able to take it out for a test ride. With a plethora of stupid excuses, I am finally able to post this video nearly 2 months after its filming, Enjoy! nice build! I am just curious, without the bearings in the head tube, does it cause any problems when turning left/right?
Truong Vo Thank you! So far I have had no issue with this solution; it’s just not as smooth as using bearings. Over time it may wear more quickly that with bearings, but I doubt it will become a serious issue for me.

Are you cutting, grinding, and welding tons of Galvanised metal in this video? It looks like the front forks are made from galvanised round tube. How is your health? Did you get Gal poisoning while working at all?
To my knowledge no, I'm fine, but I do need to do a better job with safety.

I have an old lawnmower in the shed I want to build a bike but I don’t have a welder
If you have the time and money it’s a great skill to learn. Even with a cheap welder you can practice and learn how to do decent welds on a small budget. If not, you can always buy an old used frame and go from there.
