I agree, the CGI in a lot of movies age terribly but the animatronics of both the first JP films as well as Aliens hold up very well even to this day which is crazy seeing as its been 30 years since their release.
Yawp! From the moment the Rex’s knocked the rv off the cliff to the chase through the forrest till it end in that waterfall cave, was pure awesomeness lol
Agreed. The spinosaur in jp 3 was clunky and the jw dinosaurs didn’t look real. Alien will always look incredible because the animatronics/puppets were done perfectly
The juvenile t-Rex was also adept at fishing. I remember the novel, Ed Regis mentioned her putting her snout into the lake and blowing bubbles to stir up the fish, then snapping up the ones that got close enough.
Rexy, Buck, Doe, and Big Eatie are on the mainland, little eatie is on mantah corp island, Big Eaties mate might be dead junior no ides where he is the bull us dead and most likely the bulls parents are dead too
There is so much lore within the Jurassic franchise, it's a shame that we don't have more spinoff material, especially live action shows. Thank you for keeping interest in one of my favorite franchises alive! :)
I think a novel about the creation of Jurassic Park, creation of the first dinos, figuring out what did and didn’t work, building the park, seeing up what happens in the film. I’d read the hell out of that
I think a second T-Rex would of been one to many things going on in the first movie. Would of been a great idea for JP3 to be honest. Would of made things more interesting that a T-Rex juvenile chasing them around instead of the Spinosaurus. Especially when they were in the cloning facility.
Nice video Klayton of the Second T. rex in the Jurassic Franchise especially from Jurassic Park and you’re telling me that there’s a second T. rex in Jurassic Park, that’s odd and very suspicious in my opinion and it’s kinda giving me The Lost World vibes with the Rex Family and Junior along with them as well as Big Eatie and Little Eatie from Season 4 and 5 of Camp Cretaceous. Great points you’ve made on the second T. rex of Jurassic Park and what happened during the events of Jurassic Park and Life Definitely Finds A Way with this. Great work on the Klayton and as always, Take It Easy And Life Finds A Way.
Seeing buck and doe meet up wit rexy in dominion was cool but they need to do something more on screen together....hopefully junior is still out there too🦖🦖🦖🦖
There’s a reserve paddock on Nublar, maybe the second Rex was held there to prevent it and Rexy from fighting each other and maybe even ending with one of them getting killed
A young tyrannosaur would be good for a scary/action scene in a future movie. Juvenile tyrannosaurus was slender, more agile and probably hunt small, fast animals so humans would be a nice prey.
Hey man I just wanna say your videos were a massive part of my really late childhood I used to watch your stuff back in 2018-19 a ton so thanks for just making peak content a ton, you’re the only creator from that period of my life that I still regularly watch lmao. So yeah thanks man, keep doing what you’re doing. If I could give a super thanks, I certainly would, but I’m a little strapped for cash at the moment. Again, cannot say this enough, thank you so much for just making really good content.
I'd love to see a reboot that's a 1-1 of the book, especially Jurassic Park, maybe The Lost World too.. Crichton did bring up a lot of interesting concepts in the lost world too
My first "big" Jurassic Park toy was the Juvenile T.rex that Kenner released in the original toyline. It was this sandy tan color with light brown stripes. Loved that thing. Also interestingly it's theorized that during the Cretaceous there were no mid-sized predator species in areas populated by tyrannosaurs since their juveniles filled that niche.
Yes, I would love to see that scene with the juvenile from the novel; seeing the curiosity of the juvenile wondering what the heck this human is. I'd also truly love to see the adult T. rex swimming after the raft, half submerged in the water like a croc. (And I know, I know, but the Spinosaur wasn't the same. I thought it looked really, really wooden and stilted in the water.)
Hey Klayton this video reminded of me the Juvenile T. rex Dinosaur profile video you made years ago! The juvenile Rex is one of my favorite parts of the first novel. The death of Ed Regis has always stuck with me since reading the book! I do wonder how the first JP movie would’ve been with the inclusion of the Juvenile!
Hey bud just wanted to say I’m really proud your channel is doing well I started following you in 2017 and I think your channel at the time had 27,000 subscribers now look at you almost 360,000 subscribers keep it up 🤘
I agree. About time we got a full on horror instead of the family friendly stuff. Granted, the OG films were not 18 certs, but the atmosphere is so different to the sequels.
Before watching this other channel. I always watched Jurassic Park with face value, and I'm the type of person that likes to hear/see behind the curtain stuff. But to hear about other dinosaurs and the cancelled scripts that weren't necessarily used on tv is fascinating to me.
Yo imagine that there was actually another T-Rex in Jurassic Park, but was younger at the time, so it was kept in a separate paddock until they were able to prepare and make sure the paddock Rexy was already inhabiting was enough to sustain two Tyrannosaurs. When it was old enough by 2012, Dr Wu used her DNA as the base genome of the Indominus Rex. So basically Rexy was fighting what would’ve been her “roommate” back in the Park era.
Awesome job on the vid as always man, it seems like when you put everything in perspective about the raptors from nublar from ‘93 for example they all have the same skin variant. & when looking at the Doe T.Rex’s skin it’s not far off from rexys really I mean they both share basically the same skin when you take into account the CG shots of the doe in TLW, shes gigantic like Rexy in the camp attack scene and looks strikingly similar to Rexys outside shot eating that Gali in JP1, when looking at the ending scene with doe in TLW, they both have a similar shade to them. I’m pretty sure they used the same cg model just slimmed her down. Kind of like JW1 - Rexy weight, so if you think about it much like the raptors in JP that are identical in size (5’7 tall, 12’10 long) the doe is probably the same size as Rexy (17ft tall, 44ft long) meaning she is in fact one of the original 7 ingen rexs. I’m not sure how buck came to be. Given that his skull is a bit different. It’s like he had plastic surgery for a stronger jawline (and seems a bit smaller in length vs doe) lol jk but in all seriousness much like the Sorna raptors in TLW he’s most likely a 2nd gen Rex that grew up in a the wild environment on site b. Via one rex that still looks like a female but is male (much like the big one raptor) and mated with a female to create the buck sometime around 1988-93 it didn’t take Rexy to be fully grown as she’s around 4 or 5 in JP1. Buck would be 4 if he was born in 93 say. It makes me wonder about the JP3 Rex too tho being a male. Maybe 3rd generation. And the ecosystem of Sorna Rex’s. Maybe he’s an offspring of another Rex pair. 🤷 or he’s one of a few that was created with the female turned male Rex’s (so bucks brother) if taking the “fully grown” theory for him which I never thought. He could also just be jr - TLW. Ik the skin is different but maybe they were just lazy with continuity. Would love to see a vid of the ecosystem/timeline of site b rexs man! & if there’s more in jw4 if they go there 🤔
Thinking the Doe might have been that 10 foot Rex is a fun theory to me. It would make the scene with Rexy, the Doe and the Buck at the end of Dominion more special to me.
Little off topic. But, what if the reason we have different types of raptors and greenish rexes, was variety for the other parks. That way they could convince people to visit them all so they could see the different varieties. For example, the raptors we see in JP 1 are for the island and the tiger raptors are for Jurassic Park Europe along with greenish colored Tyranosaurs. That could also explain the pink Dilophosaurs in Camp Cretaceous.
Interesting theory on the Doe Rex being the one to be featured in Jurassic Park along with Rexy, although something tells me the other rex would have being the red one from the novel or trespasser. All the same a really interesting theory and video. Great work.
It's really interesting to look back at the first Jurassic Park movie and see what they changed from the book. It would've been really cool to see the juvenile T Rex in the movie. Maybe in the next Jurassic world movie they'll bring it back.
I knew it! There were 7 bred originally born on Site B. More dinosaurs were bred before Hurricane Clarissa in 1995. This adds the more individuals within each species on the island.
Also happy Jurassic June man great videos great content great channel as always... Also to the tell tale videogame of putting the walking animation of rexy like the juvenile rex puppy walk when it was chasing after the tour vehicle after busting out of the visitors center... It was awkward but again cute knod to the juvenile rex... I like to throw a couple of questions your way and if you like to use it for a future video you can use 1st being... What is the future of biosyn or manticore and will they return to the franchise in any way maybe in chaos theory season 2... The 2nd being will we be seeing cenozoic or Paleozoic era cretures in the new 7th movie like what they did for the smilodon in camp cretaceous season 4...?
Somewhat unpopular opinion. I would love for a Jurassic park brand or sub-brand and have it not be as child friendly and instead go into Horror. You could kind of go into a Horror game Similar to Alien isolation where you would have been trapped in the park and would have to do tasks to eventually escape. In movie terms just add a new cast and openly leave weather or not they would all die on the table. Use the battle of big rock as a starting point and fallow the family as they leave the campground.
Now since my expanded headcannon includes many of the other ancillary material (some retooled more than others to maintain continuity), such as the Topps comics, trading cards and the 2015 arcade game, what would that mean for the various other rex's that appeared in them?
I put on The Lost World Jurassic Park when i work over music a lot of the time and sometimes on a daily basis. If it's not that one, it's JP or Wayne's World. I know all 3 movies by heart, and I can see them visual run through my thoughts and head. I know The Departed by heart to, but i want action or comedy mostly when im working.
I agree putting that 9 ft tall T-Rex in that flim would have been pretty cool. Oh and Klayton you're right T-Rexes did not get along unless they were man and wife. Or especially to protect their young ones you know what they say never mess with Mother T-Rex. Mommy's very angry! 🦖🦖
A juvenile or a young sub adult T-Rex would be interesting to see in a future movie. Imagine how curious, playful, or mildly vicious it would be towards a human just like in the novel. Also, since you brought up Dino Crisis, there were these surveys that Capcom put out on what Fans like about their game and what they want to see in the future. The results came in, and Dino Crisis was the most voted for remaking or bringing back old IPs. It's insane and could convince Capcom that fans want to see DC return. Would be totally great if it doesn't. I know you would agree.👍
I once read a fanmade JP novel (can't remember the title) which featured the Red Alpha T-Rex on Isla Sorna as the grown-up version of the juvenile T-Rex that was supposed to be sent to Nublar. That would be an extremely cool idea imo.
Always wondered where the male T-Rex on site B came from. It didn’t sound like too many years passed between the events of the first film and second film. Isn’t it mentioned SOMEWHERE in the franchise that the growth rate for the dinosaurs is much faster than the natural rate?
At this point in the Jurassic world timeline, which has diverted quite afar from the source material and certainly in genre, I would not be surprised to see a T-rex hand reared by a wannabee dino whisperer with the best intentions bringing us to a young T-rex which is very much accustomed to humans. There are now several whisperers in the franchise able to groom Velociraptors and in the kids show there actually is a T-rex whisperer.
Yet again with the most awesome videos on TH-cam about Jurassic Park-world. I’m a trex guy less raptor in my opinion! I really hope that this comment will get high lighted by you and I can have a good day 😡
Another great video keeping people interested in the franchise. I’m by no means any kind of expert but I found a convincing video that argued that the nanotyrannus was not a different species of T-Rex but a juvenile. Whatever the truth, they were physically different to T-Rex. Being lighter, proportionally longer legged and smaller. It would fill a different niche or role if they engaged in pack hunting. Those juveniles would be interested, they were not babies for a petting zoo and could be a different kind of threat.
This is speculation on my part, but it could be that the rexes from JP2 were both cloned and one was slated for the park, but they decided to alter the genetics a bit. It could be for variety, or after seeing the behavior, and possibly health issues, of Rexy, or even to see what was possible. More a version 2 than a generation 2.
I think that all this information is very interesting and I think the female from the Lost world was meant to be the other t Rex that was originally shipped off to the Park as if they bread Six Of the T Rexs on Isla Sorna then that would 1, Rexy JP 1 2, Male Trex JP2 3, Female T Rex JP2 4, the Baby T Rex JP2 5, JP 3 T. rex that The Spino killed 6, The forgotten Juvenile T Rex.
When you think about it, the Juvenile is the reason the main road attack happened. Arnold says the juvenile avoids Big-Rex in his usual patrol path. But after Nedry sabotaged the park, something changes. The Juvenile climbed over the fence and escaped right between the two land cruisers. And with the Big-Rex standing there inside the fence, we can infer that she chased him there after he came into her territory. He jumped out to get away from her. There’s a chance she might not have noticed the cars had this not happened. Still this is one of the things I love and hate about the Jurassic World Series; it tried to canonize so many things from the novel. But then dropped that completely after Fallen Kingdom.
That’s a great question. I guess I would change the Maisie retcon and try to make it flow with the last few movies better. That whole storyline doesn’t make sense to me.
Also I always found it interesting how in the original novel, Big Rex never actually killed any of the human characters. She killed other dinosaurs, while the Juvenile Rex killed Regis, but the Big Rex gets blamed for it.
Man seeing the clips of all the movies in these videos really reminds me why I can't stand colour grading and filters in modern media. My eyes can't focus or make anything out. The first three JP films are so clear and natural looking. I really hope this fad goes the way of the shaky cam from the 2000s.
Earlier i commited a sin... I didnt finish TLW earlier..😢😅 but i made a realization when im watching it. At the scene where the rexes caught them sleeping is that I JUST LOVE THE WHOLE LOOKS AND SHAPE of those Rexes. It made me look some JP rex figure statues like Nanmus etc 😅
I think in the novel it implies it was the Big Rex that died [Muldoon's tranq knocked her out and she apparently drowned in the river] and the juvenile Rex that survived [up until the fictional Costa Rican Air Force bombed the island].🦖🦖
I miss 90s filmmaking. I used to really love the first JW but Dominion ruined the entire new trilogy for me. I really hope the Gareth movie can make people forget about the last trilogy and go back to the roots. I liked his directing style on Godzilla 2014 a lot, that makes me hopefull. I don't want the marvel style anymore.
There isn’t enough time between the first film and the second for a second generation. It can take 15-25 years for a t-Rex to mature. Both those Rexs needed to be sub-adults at the time of the first movie in order to be old enough to breed for the second.
If what they end up using in the future is not a juvenile, I´d hope they at some point use medium-sized theropods and take inspiration from the second Tyrannosaurus´ moments in the book. Think something like Regis´ death but with something like Viavenator instead, if they wanted to use more abelisaurids, or Megaraptor for something more akin to a movie monster.
I think is very interest that JW didn't had any more rexes. You would think that they would invest in having more than one since the original was getting on her years and the clones don't hace a set age where they die. Plus, this also comes with "So they just left the other rexes on Sorna and never brought them to Nublar just to put in a separate paddock". And they also could have experiment with putting a male rex or even a baby just to see how Roberta would react (and by how she did in Dominion, she seemed to be much more interest and fascinated with meeting other members of her species so is very likely she would attack other rex if put in her paddock outright). Which begs the question, did they not found other rexes on Sorna by the time JW was in construction and just never thought of checking the reason why ? Anyway, let's hope Survival has a juvenile rex (who knows)
Theory: What if Rexy from Isla Nublar is actually that juvenile t-rex from the novel and that big red alpha t-rex from Trespasser is the real Rexy from the novel and maybe InGen didn't use it for the park due to its unusual size and aggression(I hope they make this monster canon).
Great question! I have no idea. I always thought they just opened the doors and left it on the beach while everyone escaped via helicopter or something lol
@@KlaytonFioriti oh ok cool lol I feel they should've revamped it to use to transport new large dinosaurs to the mainlands given that jurassic world now shows all kinds of dinosaurs roaming the mainlands..

Thanks for the video!! See you later!! Stay safe.😊
I once read a fanmade JP novel (can't remember the title) which featured the Red Alpha T-Rex on Isla Sorna as the grown-up version of the juvenile T-Rex that was supposed to be sent to Nublar. That would be an extremely cool idea imo.
This is all incredibly cool and interesting
Where does the text at 4:00 come from?
"Has anyone seen my second T-Rex? Bueller?"
Yet again with the most awesome videos on TH-cam about Jurassic Park-world. I’m a trex guy less raptor in my opinion! I really hope that this comment will get high lighted by you and I can have a good day 😡
I forget to sub to your channel so I always type "dave fitori jurassic park" into TH-cam and you always pop up in the videos.
That was certainly a mouthful you said. "BigOlMommaRoberta's territory." Lol.
Love the videos 😁.
Hey Klayton If there was one problem, you would fix with Jurassic World Dominion aside from the Locust what would it be and why?
That’s a great question. I guess I would change the Maisie retcon and try to make it flow with the last few movies better. That whole storyline doesn’t make sense to me.
And how would you handle the giga like how would you make it a more threatening dinosaur antagonist and make it feel like it deserved to die?
The T-Rex is the king of the Dinosaurs
Also I always found it interesting how in the original novel, Big Rex never actually killed any of the human characters. She killed other dinosaurs, while the Juvenile Rex killed Regis, but the Big Rex gets blamed for it.
Hi
Man seeing the clips of all the movies in these videos really reminds me why I can't stand colour grading and filters in modern media. My eyes can't focus or make anything out. The first three JP films are so clear and natural looking. I really hope this fad goes the way of the shaky cam from the 2000s.
Earlier i commited a sin...
I didnt finish TLW earlier..😢😅
but i made a realization when im watching it. At the scene where the rexes caught them sleeping is that I JUST LOVE THE WHOLE LOOKS AND SHAPE of those Rexes. It made me look some JP rex figure statues like Nanmus etc 😅
Hopefully one day we can see on the big screen
It would be cool, to see a “Subadult tyrannosaurus” in the new film of the new Jurassic World” Even tho we probably not gonna see that but I hope.
I think in the novel it implies it was the Big Rex that died [Muldoon's tranq knocked her out and she apparently drowned in the river] and the juvenile Rex that survived [up until the fictional Costa Rican Air Force bombed the island].🦖🦖
I hope we get to see at least two Tyrannosaurus Rex 🦖 in the next movie
It's unknown to as what happened to the Juvenile Rex
Neatness one
I was kinda thinking it might be the young one that got killed by the Spinosaurus?
I miss 90s filmmaking. I used to really love the first JW but Dominion ruined the entire new trilogy for me. I really hope the Gareth movie can make people forget about the last trilogy and go back to the roots. I liked his directing style on Godzilla 2014 a lot, that makes me hopefull. I don't want the marvel style anymore.
90s filmmaking used the magic of practical effects too..
There are 4 featured in the movies... 1 rexy, the 2 parent Rex's and thier infant from The Lost World Jurassic Park
i wonder if they will use this concept in the jurassic park survival game
Where was that image young T-Rex attack surprise at the beginning from?
That’s from an old Jurassic Park trading card
@@KlaytonFioriti Thank you very much for your answer gotta look more into that :)
I mean could see this idea of a smaller trex in jurassic park survival like maybe the younger trex was behind closed doors or something like that
I think is very interest that JW didn't had any more rexes.
Hmmm i wondered too for yrs but what about the little Infant ???😮from jp the lost world
Instead of these hybrids, it would have been cooler to maybe have a bigger trex on the island that's dominant.
Can you make the history of the quetzalcoatlus in the jurassic park franchise
Hey klayton, what do you think ever happened to the ss venture after the lost world san diego events took place? 🤔
Since we got news on jw4, and gareth Edward is directing it. Should the main antagonist be a trex or something else just a question
What about the bull rex the spino killed? he always seems a smaller than the others to me, maybe the was the one
I bet the juvenile shows up in JP Survival
Hi klayton, I recently got a chance to meet Gareth Edwards himself tomorrow, I was wondering if you have any questions for him that I could ask him for you
Yeah absolutely! And very cool man! Congratulations!
I guess the fans would like to know is there anything he could tell us about the new movie? And what kind of film he is looking forward to making?
After reading the book, it never sat well with me how dirty they did Donald.
