I also once saw a thing i call ''the camera roll''
you basically get 2/3/4 cards of a character(s) , and put a black/white square behind them !!
I also like adding another one , to make a outline-ish thingy !! it's pretty simple and it looks great
(forgot to mention, you can make a ''wooden table'' beneath by adding a whatever color you like, and then making lines w/a darker shade or black, at the end you slap on a low/middle oppacity square)
