This confirms for me that ETNZ have nailed this design and will be very difficult to beat come the finals. That mainsail track is pure art. The hull looks so right. I think it wa Oli Stephens that said once 'if a boat looks right, it usually is right'. We shall see......
It is RIGHT,MATE
Another saying goes, "There is always pride before a fall..."
@@TAV0206the Champions ETNZ💯
@@TAV0206the kiwi team is not arrogant.
@@TAV0206 That expression refers to hubristic pride. That is not the case with NZ at all.
Thanks for the update. All the new boats look very fast Its going to be a close exciting AC
I became a fan of the cup through Formal One and it's aerodynamics.
So I did feel some fear as the big money teams announced their F1 partnerships (ferrari plz partner with Luna Rossa).
Stoked to see TNZ have built another gorgeous yacht.
🇳🇿Go kiwis 🇳🇿
Thank you, great summary!! Looking forward to seeing a similar breakdown of the challengers!!
Interesting analysis.I learned alot. Thanks for the report.
really excellent discussion.
That was pretty good analysis thanks 👍
Korea good morning News Zealand. I have a question for Emirates teem N Z. Wie can't the designer's build or make the, Holl top ov the Deck out of the same material as there ☆SALES ☆
The two best boats right now, absent tactics, boat handling and foils are NZ and American Magic. The difference? NZ double main vs AM's low windage profile. But it's early and there are many variables.
Spot the yank
Haha. Spot the American.
@@TAV0206 Tell me I'm not right. ;-)
Also, the cyclor positions. AM is the only yacht that features recumbent cyclors although how that will pan out with power availability remains to be seen.
@@jamesaron1967 I'm guessing they really thought this one through. When you think about it the reduction in windage from a normal cyclor station to the new recumbent stations is only a very small advantage. I don't think they would jeopardize a reduction in power output for a marginal gain in windage savings. I'm sure they did a lot of testing with the cyclors.
Hey Burling nice boat. Needed more faster boat to bring back the Cup where it belong to New Zealand the CITY OF SAILING AUCKLAND.❤❤❤❤❤❤
ETNZ 💪👊🙏🇳🇿
Interesting topic, unfortunately the quality of the sound and 'sketches' is far below par....much better quality sources available.
'The main sheet system is a powerful idea, and it's not on any other boat' - except the French boat!(designed by the kiwis). I think the French are going to be right up there. It's going to be the best America's Cup.
I wonder if ETNZ shared the flight data with the French team.
Good question. If they did it would have been data from the old foils and I doubt it would be tactically revelatory for the AC37.
Watching both boats sailing are similar fast stable and flying low.
As soon as one of the boats was launched then the design sharing was shutdown. Its in the rules. Which ment the foils on OT were not the race foils NZ brought out last minute
um....where is the "Orient Express" Boat?
Why would TNZ make a narrower boat than an ever so slightly wider boat, that way the operators could seat lower and more arodynamic plus main sheet would be more open to wind as the it goes all the way down to the hull. Wider would make the foils have more leverage. But what would I know , I carn't sail.
But what about the most important part the foils ?
The foils they have on there now is not their racing foils.
Hey MS Imperial UK - You're trying to reduce mass not weight - please..
The accent of the lady is difficult to understand.
😂
Clean your ears out
Mister. Bruce watch your mouth.
She's a Pommie
These 2 don't know stuff all about our boat,we know it's a lot faster than the old boat,by a long long way
I yawned so hard at these awful things I woke up months later after sanity returned the AC to maxi class sailing on real boats with real crew. Nightmare averted.
Good for you. You can now claim minority status and all the special treatment that accompanies it.
There there. If only time stood still.
@listeningto8371 😂
If it makes you feel better, you could right these comments out by letter and send them into youtube to post?
@@listeningto8371 Ah yes the appeal to progress argument. Next: Iceboats run completely by wire, filmed remotely on some machine-frozen keewee canal. Because speed.
