As an American who lives long stays in Chisinau MD as much as 3 years before returning to the US the Moldavian people have a prided in their little country that if ever attacked you will see a hornet's nest poked! The Moldovan people my die but they see it was I am dying to save my country and fellow Moldavans. I feel a little bad for the Moldovan troops. The clear difference in budget shows when they and the US troops march together. Their gear is either legacy Soviet stuff or older donated US gear.
Gear alone doesn't make a quality soldier. Training and spirit matter more. They may be wearing woodland camo, interceptor vests and carrying AKMs, but if properly trained and motivated, they will fight just as well as guys wearing Multicam carrying M4 carbines. The Moldovan troops shown here seem pretty squared away to me.

These are not joint training exercises, these are videos of the us military training a poorly motivated, poorly disciplined, poorly equipped foreign military to help slow down a russian advance in a potential WW3. And they trained them poorly, by the way. During low crawl I saw a soldier roll and he rolled with his entire Ak swinging around the sky and the training officer didn't even correct him at all, but trust me a russian will notice and now that moldovan soldier will think it's no big deal and he can do it. Then they commanded to begin the low crawl, and the moldovan soldiers couldn't shoulder or position their AK in a practical way to allow for fast and comfortable movement, then they didn't make it more than two crawls forward before the officer said okay good. No, that was not good, that was sloppy.

With Russian occupiers on Moldovan land and obvious Russian aggression in Ukraine next door I would say Moldova is safer with American troops there. Who’s the bigger threat?
