- Here is another song in the ‘Overplayed Drum Cover Series’, where I pick a song that had an impact on my playing over the years and have a play around with rewriting the drum track just for a bit of fun.
The Offspring were one of the first bands I heard in my early teens (along with Green Day and blink-182) that made me want to explore further into the punk rock genre and find other faster music.

This video is an excellent example of how influential the drums are in a song. Changes the whole vibe if played differently at parts

Makes me realize you rarely ever get pop-punk songs in minor key like this. I think they'd usually call it skate punk in that case.

Miroy Saves i agree. but travis rarely wrote beats that had the old school 90s hardcore sound used in this video. that was more of a scott raynor thing carried over from old blink.

Andreas Mueller i am a drummer. i never said barker was the best, just that he's better than the previous blink 182 drummer scott raynor. though i will say he stands pretty tall within the punk rock genre. as far as great drummers go, lately ive been a fan of travis orbin

Love the seamless change of feel. There's not a single note that feels out of place. Absolutely amazing arrangement.

IMO changing your sound for airplay and $$ or because a big record company offers bucu bucks is selling out. Lots of bands do this all the time unfortunately. 🙁

Im not sure , but i think they are both crash cymbals, but they have slightly dofferent sizes , therefore the change in the tone between them
