Luling, Texas is home to the largest Buc -ees. It is also where this chain originated and we used to stop there frequently on our way from Houston to San Antonio on I-10. They completely rebuilt the original store (not just added on) making it the largest. There was no way Texas was going to allow the biggest Buc-ees to be in any other stare😂😂

Guys, BUC-EES isn’t just a gas station, it’s a life changing experience. Once you’ve had the BEAVER, nothing else will compare. It’s like being slapped by the BEAVER’s tail. lol 😂
From someone who is from the US, who has lived in Scotland, and ate an egg salad sandwich from a petrol gas station outside of Glasgow at the start of road trip, and got food poisoning, I can’t wait to visit a Bucee’s when they build one here in Wisconsin.
It’s because of Jolly’s first trip to Buc-ee’s that I knew to stop off there on my road trip around the southern states in summer 2023. Neither of my friends had heard about Buc-ee’s so I got to introduce them to the place too and once we’d stopped at one we stopped at all of the Buc-ee’s as we travelled through each state. It’s the one place I miss more than anywhere we visited other than NOLA. The brisket sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, store made crisps/potato chips, store made jerky and Buc-ee’s nuggets were all soooo delicious. Plus, the sweet iced tea!!! As for the bathrooms…..so unbelievably clean and each cubicle is massive. There are news articles about their bathrooms. I sat in one for 15 minutes on one of my visits and not for what one might think😂. I sat there as I was so tired from driving and there aren’t any seating areas in Buc-ee’s, because that would make them a restaurant (I was told by a cashier), and I enjoyed the ambience of a Buc-ee’s loo. 😂😂😂❤ Just how Ollie said, he could’ve lied down in there, I know just what he meant!

Honestly, even as a born and bread Southerner, I wasn't introduced to Buc-cee's until the last couple of years. They expanded so quickly, our normal drive-to-the-in-laws' now has 2 Buc-cee's on the way to each in another state (neither Texas). And yes, it was as overwhelming the first time as y'all experienced. Even for Americans!
American here (columbus, oh) .....I love your videos and I particularly like how you guys (mates) just exchange food and just take a bite after one another.....that's what we do here. cheers!
I love y’all’s videos…especially the Texan ones as I was born and raised in Texas. The next time y’all go to Buc-ee’s get the Alamo Turkey Sandwich (delicious) and the Buc-ee’s homemade Beaver potato chips, the ones in a paper cone and the amazing warmed cinnamon-glazed pecans also wrapped up in a paper cone!!! Love y’all’s content and congratulations on your beautiful baby Josh!!!🥰 Absolutely love y’all’s content!!!☺️
@Ollie is your dial at 11 in anticipation (now that it has passed the time of Josh's Julie)? What has your family been feeling the last while? Is Juno excited to meet/hangout and show Julie the life as she grows? I am so ecstatic with awe and glee that you are both going to be bonding over experiences and the journey of growing up as fathers now. Josh will be able to tell you things that happened, and Ollie you will be able to relate and relay feelings and solutions and have an ever growing bond of fatherhood now. It will be GLORIOUS!
We have "beaver tails" in Canada - it's a flat pastry with sugar and cinnamon or other toppings. I don't know for sure but it could be a "patent" name for the ones we have here in Canada. Love to watch your videos - I don't know how you can put that much food down - all looks fantastic-Enjoy the road trip!!!
EVERYTHING about Buc-ee's is amazing. From the absolutely clean bathrooms to the delicious fresh food to the super awesome beaver merch. I live in Texas, and there isnt' a roadtrip we take that we do not stop at Buc-ee's.
Ollie needs to be awarded the Human of the Decade award! His totally giving of himself to do whatever it takes to make his fellow man smile is just comendable!
Went to this exact one and it was such an overwhelming experience in such a fascinating way! The women's bathrooms literally have those lights over top of each door that go green when empty and red when occupied like a covered parking lot because there were so many stalls it'd be impossible to keep track of which were empty or not...lol!
Somehow it's always more fun the first time because you don't know what to expect. Once you've been to a Buc'ees, now you're in comparison mode ... and "loved it before, gotta get it again" mode. I loved Joel's eyes when he tried the pecans.
Seeing the classic American yellow school bus drive past their window was funny to me. The driver is probably just getting gas but I'm just imagining a school field trip to Buckees. A dream for kids but a nightmare for the teachers 😂
Hi, I live in northern Indiana and am so glad I came across your posts. You Brits are a delight. You are from my favorite town --London. Esp. love Baker Street and The Strand. I was a summer session student at Christ's College Cambridge when I was younger and spent many joyous days wandering around your homeland. Hugs.
They recently opened a Buc-ee's on the stretch of highway I take basically every month in KY, and I'm loving it. It used to be quite the road trip to get to one
Yeah..... I'm gonna need a series where Josh and Ollie take their kids and wives on a road trip through the southern U.S. Also, go to Northwest Arkansas. It's gorgeous and there are tons of outside activities.
I went to this same Buck-ees and I gotta say, my mind was blown in the same way yours was. There is just so much going on there and you want to buy literally everything! Thinking of flying back to America simply just to holiday in this place. I'd never need to leave.
Hey guys.. Steve from Canada. Love your channel! The dessert you had..the paddle... it's not called a beaver tail because that is a long time Canadian thing. It's like a donut shaped like a beaver tail..and there are many ways you can top it. The beaver being Canada's national animal.
It may be Canada's national animal, but we have them here in Texas too...I used to live on land that had some, and they built a dam. Cute little suckers!
If you're back in the US around August next year you should hit the Iowa State Fair. You'll get a pretty absurd amount of weird and creative foods with a giant fairground to walk around. Plus a giant lemonade and a bucket of warm cookies. Yes a bucket of cookies.
That's a VERY Buc-ee's thing to do! 😂 I almost made a road trip just to buy a fire pit, but a welding shop here in town started making the same quality, so I bought local, but yeah... Buc-ee's is the bomb.
I love the way Americanisation, specifically with our variety of good and bad things to eat, instantly turns you guys into happy schoolboys again. We’ve done our job, you are welcome anytime! Buck-ees will put anyone into the mood. It’s an overwhelming stuff your face vibe which is quintessentially very American. 😛🇺🇸👍
The snack name beaver tail is already proudly taken. Very famous desert snack in Canada. Found at fairs, ski hills, food truck etc. you’ve gotta come try them! Great deep fired dough flattened out like a flat bread and topped with all kinds of goodness!
I am so glad you guys made another bucees video ! I love Texas and I love seeing other people love it just as much. Your heb vid was gold i sent that to so many people and they loved it
The best gas station/convienece store bbq is Heirloom Market BBQ in Marietta, Georgia. It's a southern-Korean fusion. Texas chef and ex K pop star joined forces! The food is amazing.
I went once in south carolina along 95 and it was a madhouse. Good food but my bucees remorse was having to wait over half an hour to get out of the parking lot after.
I've never been to a Buc-ees because we don't have them in New England, but I wish we did. 1:03 I would absolutely wear one of those hats while I fish or do my gardening lol
I love watching you guys when you go to America and try all these food places, I have family over there and when I do go again I want to at least go to all of the places that Josh and Ollie have been too and try them all out.
You both need to get a place in America (preferably in Texas) that your families can share so that everyone can come back more often. I would love to see Ollie’s father visit, but you will have to go on a gourmet trip - that of course will include the best bbq in Texas - and pair it with the perfect wine. 🎉 You can go fly fishing in Colorado, and deep sea fishing in Florida off the keys. Bring dad with you on the next trip. Also, congratulations on the new baby 😊
As a Texan, the DTB (distance to buc-ees) was very important to me when buying my current home. I'm currently at 15 minutes which isn't too bad. That place is an absolute gem.
Great vid guys, I love seeing videos of people enjoying the things my home state has to offer. I hope everyone’s been keeping up that southern hospitality that we’re known for and I hope y’all have been having a good time!
My son lives in Florida. The wife and me live in California. We travel to see him all the time we always make sure we hit all the Buc-ees along the way freaking place is awesome! And as American is you can get🇺🇸❤️
Well speaking of beaver tail, here in Canada (and a few locations in the US I believe), we actually have a restaurant chain called Beaver Tails and they sell a pastry named... Beaver Tail!
Beaver tail I thought it wasn't a brand product. I thought beaver tails are its own pastry. Like cinnamon rolls, or cookies, its just another treat. I'm in Canada.
@@pick2206that's kind of correct BeaverTails" is a trademarked term. It refers to a popular Canadian pastry brand that sells fried dough treats shaped like beaver tails, typically topped with various sweet toppings. The brand is known for its signature product, and the trademark protects its use of the name in commerce. The company "BeaverTails Canada Inc." owns the trademark.
Good food is not why Americans are so fat. It's because the food is plentiful, relatively inexpensive, contains a lot of carbs and fat, and is consumed in much larger quantities than almost anywhere else. Also, Americans don't walk - they drive everywhere. If you observe people in a parking lot, they will sometimes spend 5-10 minutes driving around, waiting to get that prime parking spot near the entrance. If they cared to park as far from the store as possible, they'd probably lose at least several pounds per year by just walking from the car and back.
@@deanronson6331 So you just used a lot of words to re-state what I said. I said "good food" as in, tastes good. This is because things w/ fat taste better. Also by saying the food was "everywhere" I was clearly implying it's plentiful. Also, because it's everywhere, that implies a lot of market competition thus the fact it's relatively inexpensive.
I am ALWAYS entertained watching the two of you discover "our" food, but I've been in tears this time having seen Ollie in a NASA t-shirt. My pride goes before me as I am the son of a NASA engineer so I am always filled with pride knowing Dad was a part of them. Ollie, thank you, Sir.
You'd be pleased by the amount of them in the UK. Kennedy space center is one of the favourites places to go when in the USA. It's fun to meet the astronauts and do the behind the scenes tours
Live here in Sevierville, TN home of your video of Buc-ee's :) We go here probably once a week for gas and some food...we usually end up splurging with some Beaver nuggets and pudding as well. 13:49 I believe there is a chain called Beavertails so that may be why they call it that
The two of us have been to Buc-ees once, north of Dallas. Not to be missed. Quality everywhere. Actually fantastic.
Just seeing it on video is mind blowing
"Much like the human body, it's food first then gas" 🤣🤣
I didn’t get it until I read this 😂😂
American here (columbus, oh) .....I love your videos and I particularly like how you guys (mates) just exchange food and just take a bite after one another.....that's what we do here. cheers!
Um... I share food with my wife but not so much anybody else.
- Just a bit North of Columbus in Ohio
Hi, fellow Buckeye!
This exact location was my first Buc-EE's experience and I was floored at how busy and yet clean it was. It's mental.
Same. 😅
I love how much joy these two have when seeing things Americans see everyday. Warms my heart to see them so happy! Enjoy America friends!
What about Israel? Why don’t they ever come to Israel and show the world the true face of this beautiful country.
@@Squadron_Bodron Not exactly safe at the moment with a war going on, mate.
@@Squadron_Bodronthat’s self explanatory
The truest experience you can have as a tourist: visiting a Buc-Ees!! 🎉🎉🎉
Joel being the voice of reason at 1:28 😂
EVERYTHING about Buc-ee's is amazing.
Cringe!
he low key has "conan o brien" vibes. he actually puts a lot of effort into his goofy demeanor.
Life goals right there, I want to be a friend like Ollie
I love Ollie so much!
Went to this exact one and it was such an overwhelming experience in such a fascinating way!
The women's bathrooms literally have those lights over top of each door that go green when empty and red when occupied like a covered parking lot because there were so many stalls it'd be impossible to keep track of which were empty or not...lol!
Them knowing and using people's names is so sweet
I try to do that. If they don't have a name tag, I ask their name. I appreciate servers and sales people when they help me.
It's a marketing tactic...
Jolly in Bucees. I can now die a happy woman! Xoxo
I love y'all! As a Texan and a chef, it truly does warm my heart to see y'all enjoying our food.
I just love watching y’all get food drunk over the duration of this episode. Making me so hungry!
Somehow it's always more fun the first time because you don't know what to expect. Once you've been to a Buc'ees, now you're in comparison mode ... and "loved it before, gotta get it again" mode. I loved Joel's eyes when he tried the pecans.
I thought I heard a GOINK when he stared into the camera
I love Buc’ees so much 😭
The getting paused just for 5 sec breathing moment was spot on! Y'all were gettin Buc Wild 😂😂😂
Seeing the classic American yellow school bus drive past their window was funny to me. The driver is probably just getting gas but I'm just imagining a school field trip to Buckees. A dream for kids but a nightmare for the teachers 😂
I go to school like 5 minutes away from the buccees, and I can attribute that the driver definitely gets food whole he's getting gas😂
I love that y'all share your food with the camera crew when you really enjoy something.
Hugs.
We absolutely love seeing you guys out and about, interacting with folks and enjoying yourselves. 💛💛
Nothing makes me happier than 2 people sharing food. Something so beautiful about it!!!
They recently opened a Buc-ee's on the stretch of highway I take basically every month in KY, and I'm loving it. It used to be quite the road trip to get to one
2:59 the way Ollie giggles into the camera after saying Turkey Jerky 😂😂
Buc-cee’s is truly an American cultural experience. I loooove it 🇺🇸
Things you need to try next time you come to Louisiana: meat pies in Natchitoches, and cracklings (chicken and pork) in Porte barre Louisiana.
Yeah..... I'm gonna need a series where Josh and Ollie take their kids and wives on a road trip through the southern U.S. Also, go to Northwest Arkansas. It's gorgeous and there are tons of outside activities.
As someone from Northwest arkansas, Fayetteville area, I couldn't agree more.. pig sooie
Where this video was filmed (knoxville area) is VERY similar to northwest Arkansas. Gorgeous.
@@markthomas2651 I agree. Coming from your white trash neighbor to the north. Joplin mo
Theme parks and camping sites 🎉
"It's food first then gas.." is soooo underrated lolx
The older I get the truer this statement is.
Petrol you mean lol.
🏴: Why don't they call it a beaver tail?
🇨🇦: Come here, we'll teach ya
I went to this same Buck-ees and I gotta say, my mind was blown in the same way yours was. There is just so much going on there and you want to buy literally everything! Thinking of flying back to America simply just to holiday in this place. I'd never need to leave.
Congrats on the baby Josh!
the inflatable bucees mascot behind ollie during the rocket money ad just solidified even more to me, that JOLLY needs to be a bucees ambassadors LMAO
America is my dream tourist destination
These guys always look genuinely excited to experience a different culture. It's awe-inspiring.
If you're back in the US around August next year you should hit the Iowa State Fair. You'll get a pretty absurd amount of weird and creative foods with a giant fairground to walk around. Plus a giant lemonade and a bucket of warm cookies. Yes a bucket of cookies.
Over $300 is typical at Buc-ee’s. I bought a BBQ smoker last time 👍
That's a VERY Buc-ee's thing to do! 😂 I almost made a road trip just to buy a fire pit, but a welding shop here in town started making the same quality, so I bought local, but yeah... Buc-ee's is the bomb.
Do I need a Bucee's frisbee? No. Did I buy a Bucee's frisbee? Yes.
Seeing the joy they get for the food makes me so happy lol. These are my people
In Canada, Beaver Tails are fired dough with Cinnamon Sugar.
Joel is really .... REALLY pretty. He needs to be in more of these. We love you two, but Joel... YES PLEASE!!!
I agree, very cute
Joel has his his own YT channel with another old pal of Josh! It’s @DanandJoel they’ve got a lot of content on there but rarely upload now
He has a series with in Korean Englishman channel and he used to be in many jolly past videos, you can check out those videos
I live in sandy springs so I will have to check them out!
The best gas station/convenience store bbq is Joe's Kansas City.
I went to Marietta jr high in the 70's 👍
I AGREE!! I live in Marietta and just recently tried this place, anyone in Georgia trust that it’s worth your time.
@@johnkrull7323Came here to say this very thing🥰
I can confirm - Bucees remorse when you pass one and don’t stop is real!
I went once in south carolina along 95 and it was a madhouse. Good food but my bucees remorse was having to wait over half an hour to get out of the parking lot after.
@@mikebutler4189 That is the one and only downside to Buc-ee's, they can get extremely busy.
The secret is to never pass one without stopping.
I've never been to a Buc-ees because we don't have them in New England, but I wish we did. 1:03 I would absolutely wear one of those hats while I fish or do my gardening lol
I also live here as well it’s a damn shame.
They’re putting one in Northern KY now which should be a much easier driving trip than Texas. Still far but better than Texas lol
honestly thats so worth it cause im a new englander as well lets gooooooooo
I’m a lover of the Interstate/Road Trip culture. Going to and from vacation through different states is all part of the fun.
Buccees always has clean restrooms. The greatest choice for a stop for that reason alone.
Ollie's last parting shot... never seen such a cheeky smile
I had to pause and gather myself the moment he said that too lmfaaaoo jessssuuusss
Buccees does it DIFFERENT 💪🔥🔥🔥
As a Texan, the DTB (distance to buc-ees) was very important to me when buying my current home. I'm currently at 15 minutes which isn't too bad. That place is an absolute gem.
$319 at Buckee's. You're going to need to pump up them numbers. Those are rookie numbers in this racket.
Great vid guys, I love seeing videos of people enjoying the things my home state has to offer. I hope everyone’s been keeping up that southern hospitality that we’re known for and I hope y’all have been having a good time!
Buc-ee bbq is the best on the road meal ever! Always fresh and ready to go!
My son lives in Florida. The wife and me live in California. We travel to see him all the time we always make sure we hit all the Buc-ees along the way freaking place is awesome! And as American is you can get🇺🇸❤️
I NEVER leave Buc-ees without at least TWO Brisket sandwiches in the car with me~!
Well speaking of beaver tail, here in Canada (and a few locations in the US I believe), we actually have a restaurant chain called Beaver Tails and they sell a pastry named... Beaver Tail!
Exactly my thought when they said it.
And it's trademarked so that is why they can't be called it anywhere else!
@@pick2206in most places in the US (and some on Canada) they're called elephant ears.
Traveling with your best friend and eating food everywhere. Best job ever!!!
See non-Americans? Now do you understand why we're all so damn fat here? Good food.....EVERY...WHERE
Good food is not why Americans are so fat.
See non-americans....
Gluttony = excuse for being fat.....I guess🤷🏼♂️
미국인들이 뚱뚱한 이유는 콜라가 아닐까요? 콜라는 설탕덩어리입니다.
@@user-Griezmanthats Mexico.
I love when Josh says OH BABY. It is classic.
Live here in Sevierville, TN home of your video of Buc-ee's :) We go here probably once a week for gas and some food...we usually end up splurging with some Beaver nuggets and pudding as well. It is a fantastic place, lucky to live here - home of Dolly Parton and the now 2nd largest Buc-ee's in the world :) Great video, wish I could have seen you filming at Dollywood or Buc-ee's - great video!! You do a fantastic job!
Living in southern Georgia....we squeal at EVERY BUC-EE's sign. You're totally right, the petrol is a TOTAL afterthought. Enjoy your visit!
